Just got an email from lawson peterson saying he was in the army on a secret mission but got access to the internet just in time to see my China Cabinet.  I doubt a service man on a mission has time to search for china cabinets on craigslist. All he needed was my paypal email. thank you to everyone who posted here.

I might be dumb for asking this but I obviously know this is a scam but how do they do it? They said they won't pick it up until I cash the check. Does the check bounce a few days later or something?

Got the same message as the rest. Anderson Wales and Lawson Peterson.The impaired brother etc. Luckily, it smelled funny to me and I asked for a phone number. The number arrived today and I googled it immediately and found this site.
Gmail seems to be a favorite source of scammers.

Emailed regarding craig's list item and asked to pay through PayPal.  Never answered the phone number left in email ("call anytime") and never answered subsequent emails regarding payment.  Reported the email: rodgerscompany@gmail.com as possibly fraudulent as well as the email lilianbck5@gmail.com.
