called my cell phone five times in the last two weeks.
I called back and it rang and rang, no one picked up.
other searches say it is 'clean water'

One really quick ring, and then a call back, with no message left.  called the number back and got a voicemail for John S.

The Number 612-877-3931 is an immigration agency for people seeking to move to another country.

We haven't answered calls from them yet, but I suspect Minnesotans United, possibly via HRC...  I'll come back and report if we get around to answering one

I star 69-ed this number after a caller got my answering maching and hung up without leaving a message. We live in Wisconsin.

I'm not a student, nor am I American... I live in Canada, and this stupid phone number has been calling me for over 2 months now. I don't give out my number on surveys, or anyone else who isn't friend/family. If I pick up the phone, there is no one there... no busy signal, just silence. I would like to know exactly how they're getting everyone's numbers, and what exactly they want so I can tell them where to stick it!! LOL

I got a call at 7:30 pm. Man asked for me by first name. I said, "Just a minute please," and I ylaid the phone down. He finally hung up. A useful suggestion from an email I got. If you answer, caller may be timing when you are home. Take up their time by laying phone down.

A lot of people are getting phone calls from this number, I have gotten one every day for the last 3 days, and have received a total of I think 6 from this caller this month. I have never answered and they have never left a message. Are you a U of M student?

i'm a college student in NJ.  this number calls me all the time looking to get me to "donate" money to a charity/lobbying group about which i can't find any information online. they call on my cell phone and home phone at least once a day and ask for my sister AND me.

I live in NJ and have got numerous calls from this number. I don't answer the call because I don't know the number. Nobody ever leaves a message.

Just received a call from this number.  I live in MI.  No message and I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.

2calls.first left no message. Second answered o one there. I have received funny calls since I purchased late nite Easy Feet. Did they sell my number?

The number belongs to a political group wanting me to call my congressman about something having to do with the EPA.  I don't know though, I stopped listening pretty quickly.

The same thing just happened to me! The guy asked "is this Anna" and when I said yes he hung up on me. Super strange

i get calls from this number several times a day on my home and cell phone.  i signed a petition two years ago and now they are using that info to try to get me to donate money.

The call is harmless. When I finally answered the phone, I found out it's an environmental company asking if you'll donate. They'll send you the pledge form in the mail. Keep in mind it's not tax deductible because they do lobbying.

I just got a phone call from this number for the first time.  The guy asked "is this Mary" - I said "yes" and then he just hung up on me. Odd.

Today I got two calls from another number that's the Sierra Club, probably looking for donations for a transit group I used to volunteer for. (I screen those out.) Then I got a call from this number, which I also didn't answer. Someone here is saying it's Clean Water Action. That makes sense. I know they make fundraising calls from all of these numbers. It annoys me that they just keep calling without leaving messages, but that's how these organizations do it now.  Unfortunately, putting your name on the DO NOT CALL list won't help because non-profits don't have to abide by that.

Had three call from this number today.  I am not a College student.  Not sure what the gain of making calls and not having anything to sell is but these random calls are truly annoying.  Really wish there was some kind of recourse.  Obviously there are no answers on this thread, just more questions.

Just graduated from the U of M in September and some one from this number called today asking for John. I just told them it was the wrong number. It could be Clean Water Action. Someone else called from their number (612-623-3666) this morning asking for John. I thought they wanted my dad (that's his name) so I told them they had the wrong cell phone.

How do I get this number to quit calling me? They call like once a day and it's just starting to get annoying.

MSU Mankato student, got a call from them too. No response on the other end of the line and busy signal when I called them back.

They called my in-laws house an hour ago.   This guy asked for me by name.  He made it sound very important to my mother-in-law that I call back, but would not give his name.  I have absolutely NO IDEA how they would get that number and put my name connected with it!
