This is the company for the telephone number 231-224-2024:  http://ctc-telemarketing.com/.  They appear to be affliated with another annoying telemarker which is B2B (information here):  http://www.b2b-bl.com/?p=175.  They call several times a day under many different telephone numbers.  Please report!

3/20/13 they called and did not leave a message. Caller ID reads: Dept Promotion

I keep getting calls from 231-224-2048, 231-224-2024, 231-224-2028 and it shows on my caller ID all of them being CTC Marketing.The strange thing is that It rings twice and turns into a dial tone and call ends. How did they make my phone do a dialtone. At night I turn off my phone ringer so it don't wake me up and still gets through. I called 2048 and 2028 number and the operator recording says, your call can not be completed, please check the number and dial again. The 2024 number says they are a customer care service center and calling on behalf of a free publication I received or are eligible to receive, that we try to follow all laws, we're sorry if we reached you in error, you can leave a message to be removed. I never requested anything. Their voice mail box says it is full. Will this ever stop? Am tired of getting woken up. I called phone company and they didn't say much. I may try to call them again.

my just started to day  and we had a change are phone number cause of all tho's scams that we got in the past years or so this is getting bad /... just tell them that u are gonna call the irs on them they hate that and they get scared and hang up on u or just press one of the number on ur phone so it make like a fax going off they hate that also    good lucky all

No message just hands up

Same for me. Twice a day  "231 2242048 jamacia queens", hang up, no message left. Funny thing is 231 is a Michigan area code?

I also get these annoying hangups.  My caller ID lists them as Jamaica Queens, whoever the heck that is.  If your call is so important, why not leave a message?

Nothing but hang ups when I answer....  I don't know who it is yet but they won't stop calling...

July 24, 2007, 9:36 am, "Baller Inc.  231-224-2048" it said on the caller ID.  The message said,Press 1 to talk, press 3 to be removed, woman's voice, sounded like a recording.

Looking this up on the internet, Discovered only that it is
Land line provider, Lucre Location, Fremont, MI

They called me at 130pm and I ignored it. I called the number back and got the "this line doesn't exist message" from the operator. Pretty shady...

I received an incoming call from this number on September 14, 2010, at 8:36 AM, US MST. Apparently no one was on the line. My attempt to return the call also resulted in the pre-recorded "cannot be completed as dialed" message. My phone provider is now Verizon, who acquired the account I formerly had with AllTel for about 15 years. Good luck in tracking this down. Best, Bob.

I received an incoming call from this number on September 27, 2010, at 11:14 AM, US EST. Apparently no one was on the line. My attempt to return the call also resulted in the pre-recorded "cannot be completed as dialed" message.  Good luck in tracking this down. Best, Michelle

Multiple calls from this number, pretty much every day. How can I stop it?

Same here. About 5 calls each week + tons of calls from other numbers. Nobody on the other end. My number is on do-not-call list, but they don't seem to care. What's the purpose of calling and then just hanging up?
These calls make the phone line pretty useless for incoming calls. I set my answering machine to 2 rings to reduce the amount of annoyance.
