This statement is completely inaccurate. 1-Source and chipchecker are 2 seperate companies. 1-Source is Not affiliated with the ERAI. Any parts from Asia are sent to third party testing ( not to Chipchecker )
We have very strict anti-couterfeit guidelines.

Chip Checker / 1source Electronic components ( Similar to Visiontech components) are selling fake /chinese substandard/ counterfeit parts.

Chip checker buy  everything from Shenzhen which is sold by 1 source electronic components in USA.
Usually military/commercial counterfeit electronic parts. Shenzhen is hub of main counterfeiting.
This company is selling millions of worth bogus/substandard parts which is associated with ERAI.

Beware of Chipchecker aka 1 source electronic components.

ERAI is supporting 100s of brokers who are selling military counterfeit components.

Kristal Snider is head of this. She generated nearly 300 flea markets vendors in China to help her American affiliates.
Her job was to take cuts, arrange for visual inspection for fake parts ( so as to smuggle from China to USA), and arrange for escrow services for their associates.

Kristal Snider's biggest partners are Visiontech Components ( authorities caught them with 16 million worth of fakes supplied to military), USBID INC, V&C Technology Florida, American Electronic Resource Inc, Global solutions Electronics Florida, Tytronix, Foundation Technologies, MVP MICRO, and many more based in Florida, MA, NY, CA etc.

I find it egregious that within the government report, attachment 22, an IDEA and ERAI member was purchasing parts directly from a non-Vat Chinese e-waste dealer and selling the parts to L-3, Lockhead Martin and others. Classic example of 'screening' and moving e-waste.

This PROVES that IDEA and ERAI are NOT effective in combating the e-waste problem so long as many of their members are merely using these associations/clubs to move the highest quality e-waste. It makes the organizations look bad. In my opinion they are trying to 'limit competition' under the guise of 'we're better than the other guys cause we have 'testing procedures.' It's a SHAM in my opinion.

The government is showing that the 'self policing' and association/club programs created by independents and run by independents are a fraud.

This company was not following the protical established by their organizations. They reported nothing to their organizations. They didn't perform the necessary testing (full functional or trace ability to the factory) that would have shown all this product to be regraded E-WASTE.

If you think an ERAI or IDEA tag is your get out of jail free card, license to ship and regrade e-waste through 'screening' you are sorely mistaken. I think the government will 'set another example' by bringing down a senior or senior members of these organizations.

To Whom It May Concern:

For the last several years, ERAI, its principals and employees have been the target of an intense smear campaign orchestrated by an individual who seeks to bring harm to ERAI, its principals, employees and any person or business who interferes with the perpetrator?s ominous cyber attacks.  For a long period of time, ERAI was more or less exclusively the primary target of these libelous broadcasts.   Now, numerous businesses are among the victims of these often-times unprovoked outbursts.

ERAI is frequently asked why these posts have been and continue to be made.   Simply put, due to the nature of our organization which involves monitoring, investigating, reporting, and mediating issues affecting the global supply chain of electronics, it is not uncommon to have companies that have been reported by ERAI attempt to discredit our organization. The hundreds of posts that are currently visible on the Internet have been made by one individual using dozens of Internet screen names.  Because the Internet provides bloggers with a cloak of anonymity, a person can create the illusion of numerous disgruntled or concerned individuals when that is simply not the case. The author of these posts is an individual that was reported by ERAI for selling faulty material.  He made numerous threats against ERAI and its employees both during the investigation and after he was reported.

It helps to have a better understanding of our organization in order to understand the motivation of these types of criminals.   Founded in 1995 and incorporated in 1996, ERAI is a privately held trade organization that has been the industry's primary reporting and investigation service supplying information, mediation and risk mitigation solutions to electronics professionals worldwide.  Membership to ERAI is open to franchised and independent distributors, OEMs, OCMs, CMs, test houses, government agencies and associations serving the industry.  ERAI is actively involved in a number of committees and task forces that are addressing the issue of counterfeit parts in the global supply chain of electronics.

There are a number of reasons why counterfeiting has become so rampant in the last few years, such as the breakdown of trade barriers among countries with less restrictive IP laws, the green initiatives that have led to more e-waste and easy access through the Internet to market and sell material easily.  Counterfeiting has become a global issue affecting multiple industries from electronics to golf clubs, pharmaceuticals and tobacco, among others.  It is particularly troubling to ERAI since counterfeit electronics can not only affect individuals? health and safety, but could even be a threat to national security.  Every industry has been affected and ERAI is working diligently to address the problem in the electronics sector and to offer solutions to this very serious issue. Unfortunately, we have to accept the fact that the Internet creates an audience for individuals to post information that is entirely false, inaccurate and without merit.

ERAI is uniting the industry in addressing issues that are plaguing the market and we hope you can be part of the solution with us.

ERAI deeply regrets the frustration and/or confusion these cyber attacks have caused. Despite the difficult obstacles ERAI must sometimes face, it will continue to provide the valuable information and services its Members have come to rely upon to make the most informed business decisions possible.  ERAI remains committed to serving its customers with the integrity and professionalism the semiconductor industry has come to expect.

Thanks for all of your information.  ERAI is going to post negative information about our company over a paid UPS bill because I won't give ERAI a copy of the receipt. Do I answer to them? Are they judge and jury?  Do they think they are like the SEC (Securities Exchange Commission)  Isn't it grand they can print lies. I will never ever join such a corrupt organization with an amazing record of their own conflicts of interest.  Based on my experience with them, I would take some of their ratings with a very large grain of salt.  Don't forget - they also make public false information and bully people in to complying so as not to get a "negative post".

It's not right.

American Companies affiliated to ERAI are main problem behind harvesting fakes in China. Unless these companies are stopping their business with flea markets, problem will not end. We have seen some companies like USBID, VISIONTECH, V & C Technologies, AERI, Global Source Electronics, MVP Micro ,Oxygen Electronics, Stock-point,New Advantage,NASCO, 4 STAR, Tytronix aka Epic aka Pilgrim components, Big apple, IDENTEK, who are trading millions if not billions of worth of counterfeits and fake knowingly from china for want of big profit. Most of these companies seems to be enjoying affiliation of ERAI, IDEA, ISO-9001, but still relying on Chinese goods which are marketed with American packing.

Visiontech a close affiliate of ERAI who is recently been caught with 16 million worth of military counterfeits. Direct beneficiary as well as middleman like Kristal and Mark Snider are main reasons behind the menace of military fakes in North America.

Kristal Snider and Shannon Wren of Visiontech were associated for several years who sold military counterfeits to USA military organizations.  ( Make google search)

Kristal Snider is also associated with  V&C Technologies, Tytronix , Global Solutions, USBID, MVP MICRO who sell/sold military counterfeits all the time.

Her crocodile tears for anti-counterfeiting are merely to grab subscription and kickbacks from those deals which runs in billions of $s in USA alone.  Kristal Snider and Mark Snider are very well known and popular among many Chinese vendors who are 100% illegal exporters of fake and bogus computer chips.

Do not trust KRISTAL SNIDER, MARK SNIDER, TERRY LIVELY, who has ruined business of many good and honest companies who did not subscribe to her yellow bulletin.  She gives immense support to criminal elements if she is paid her cut in the form of escrow fees and subscription.

ERAI is part of problem which has promoted billion dollar industry of pirated computer chips between CHINA and American independent brokers.

A former nurse with merely no knowledge of electronics is trying to control Electronic brokers in pure mafia style. Those who do not pay her automatically gets reported.

She is a scam...

Watch out, Fed police , FBI are on continuous hunt of crimninals who are associated with Kristal snider and are selling military counterfeits to NASA, PENTAGON , BAE etc.
