Claimed to be "Credit Services" - but obviously bogus.   Company calling from different numbers with the same recorded message.   Once, waited for a live person after listening to automated message and pressing "1"   After interrogating live person with my own questions, they hung up.   They immediately called again (not 2 minutes later) ON MY CELLPHONE from the same number and company, pressed 2 (second option to be removed) - still receive calls from this company a few days later from a different number.

I believe this is some sort of scam or "data mining" company - and nothing legit whatsoever.  Beware

called asking us to lower our interst rate, but no info as to which card, mortgage, loan or why.  when I spoke to a rep., she asked if I had pressed one to lower my rate, and I said perhaps, first I want to know who this is, and why you are calling me, then she hung up.  tried to call back, says disconnected.

Got a call from this number claiming I won a prize trip to the Carribean.   Automated message similar to theme of previous calls from different numbers claiming to be from "Credit Services".

Options after message completes are to hold for a customer specialist or press '2' to be removed from list.

I get at least three calls From "Heather"  From accounts services every day.  It is a message that asks you to push one if you want more info.  I pushed one to tell them to stop calling, and they hung up!  Another voice mail came on and said that I they took me off their call list.  This was yesterday.  Today I got two calls from them today, and I pushed one again, and asked for the supervizor,  and they said that they were in charge.  I tried to explain the situation again, but he hung up the phone!  Is there anything that I can do?

Received call Aug. 29, 2008 @ 6:49 PM PT. A prerecorded message informed me that the warranty on my vehicle had expired and that this was my 2nd and final chance to extent the warranty ... and to press #1 for more information.  I had heard this message before, but Caller ID had been blocked.  Several weeks ago, received same call & listened to entire message & per message instructions, pressed #1 for additional info.  After a short moment, a repr introduced himself & eventially asked for vehicle's description & VIN #.  It became apparent that the caller had provided a false impression, had no information regarding our vehicles and was, in fact, a Telemarketer.  When I asked caller for name of the company, he abrutly hung up. Tonight, after listening to the prerecorded message, I pressed #1 & instead of being directed to a live person, was redirected to Southern Warranty Trust (their after hours message) that identified the name of the company and their normal business hours.  Since I am a 24/7 care provider, I will file a complaint with the "Do Not Call" website. If I am able to obtain names and home phone numbers of Southern Warranty Trust officers, I will post them on this site for your enjoyment.  I'm sure the officers would like to receive a call(s) from you.

I've been getting calls from these guys for about a year now, and each time I speak to someone they hang up on me as soon as I tell them to take me off of their list. I even had a guy make racial slurs towards me. Why can't the phone company do anything about this. For a while they were calling me at least 4 times a day. I am also on a "do not call" list, why aren't these people being held accountable for breaking the law?

I KNOW WHO'S CALLING US!! I just pulled my Equifax Credit Report and found a promotional inquiry: "FIRST INVESTORS FINANCIAL SVCS" from 02/08 and 12/07. Really, was it that easy? They have offices in Houston, Texas (I'm in Texas) and Atlanta, GA (where I hear a lot of people can get agents to admit they're located).

I called phone number on their website (https://www.fifsg.com/default.aspx) and believe it or not, the voice on the recording is the SAME voice on the recording that's been calling us..."Heather from credit services."

I know that calling them and asking to be removed from their list will do no good, but I AM contacting the Texas Attorney General! Since I am "lucky enough" to be in the same state, I hope to get a massive lawsuit started against these pesky b*****ds!!

If you want to be kept up to date of any the AG's response or pending suit, feel free to send me an e-mail (bustunsolicitedtelemarketers@yahoo.com) and I'll create a list. Since I'm not trying to scam you out of your info, please don't send me anything more than your first name, your state, and the email address where you'd like the updates. If you have a list of the all the phone numbers the calls have originated from, that would be helpful, too! Let's get these guys!!!

I got the same call. In fact, I get them consistently. The last time I got this call, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transfered. I began to speak with this women, and she began to get very offended that I would ask to be removed from their calling list. She began to yell at me so I started to yell back. She hung up on me, and when I tried to call back the number disconnected. I have documented the times that they have called. So, I have no problem with getting a class action lawsuit going. I have asked them to remove our information and they keep calling. If they calls continue after the first request, that is considered harrasment.

get a whistle, wait for the live person to answer, let them have it with a full blast, bunch of thieves. They will be caught and they use other numbers also. Report the numbers to your telephone companies security personnel and your attorney generals office if you want to see justice. If Enough complaints and reports are reported than they will have to check these people out. It sounds like a good scam for terrorists to use.

This is what I've gathered so far by looking at the websites that pertain to these scams. Just so we're clear, I'm only reposting information from other posts I've seen regarding these scams. I've filed a complaint on the Do Not Call list website. The information to do that is posted below. If someone knows a better way to report this please take the information that I've posted here and any additional information that I might have missed and include it with the report.

There are several phone numbers all of which give a message that they are disconnected if you call them back. On some of them the recording is an obvious fake:
1. 954-535-9912
2. 239-263-5860
3. 850-475-5122
4. 321-779-3962
5. 44-207-498-0741
6. 303-280-8689
These are the one's I've gathered so far, if there are any that you've gotten calls from that you don't see on this list, please post that info.

That some or all the numbers are possibly listed with Bell South and an e-mail can be sent to Bell South regarding this to info@connectbellsouth.com .

The people who call go by several names:
1. Heather
2. Shantel
3. Jessica
4. Jerry (a female)
5. Angel (also female)
6. Thomas Ellis
Again these are the one's I've collected. If anyone has recieved one of these calls from someone giving a name different than the one's above on the list please post it.

They are running at least 3 different scams:
1. Offering to lower APR on credit card
2. Offering to extend car warranty
3. Offering free vacations
Same as above if you got a call with a different scam please list it.

They are claiming to be from different companies (I cannot say for sure if these companies are actually affiliated with these scams or not):

We have received several calls from this number as well, haven't actually connected with them yet (always get the 30 sec. pause/hangup). This, by-the-way, IS a telecommunications/mass dialer by-product. They call X amount of phone numbers, grab as many of the quickest answerers they can and ditch the rest. The system is still calling you but all of their operators are tied up with said "quick answerers" so no one ever answers and after about a 30 sec. pause the system drops you to call the next poor guy. [i see it all the time....next thing you know the guarantee fairy is sniffing modeling glue and your daughter is knocked up]{sorry, had a Black Sheep moment, had to}...Anyways, we too have called 239-263-5860 back only to hear the same BOGUS recording about number has been disconnected. This is THEIR recording NOT an actual regulated phone system recording. Actual/real ones HAVE to complete their FULL announcement before disconnecting (hence, regulated), this one doesn't..its not something you can just half-a**.
So with this in mind, they HAVE to be receiving OUR callbacks.....Hmmmmmm....this means when we call back, they/their system has to answer to run you the fake recording......so we are getting through!!!!
Hypothetically, if EVERYONE were to call THEM at say, oh i don't know, 5:00pm cst Monday, March 10th, at THE SAME TIME...the result MIGHT be an incredibly huge spike on their phone lines/system that MIGHT render THEM INOPERABLE for some time!!! This would also at least draw enough attention from the phone company to maybe run a check on them and net some kind of end to these scammers, hypothetically.! I definately know that i might call at the aforementioned date and time!?!

does it bother you to scam a scammer??????????????????????

I was sort of excited about getting a call from Florida, as I had applied for a job that had a home office in Miami.

I was less excited after hearing a recording inferring about a warranty for my vehicle "that recently expired".  I guess that they have no idea that my 2003 F-150 was bought used last summer with 111,530 miles already on it.

Long since out of warranty.
