Got a call from this number 245896425 this morning around 11:20AM and as soon as I said hello, I heard an automated voice "Good bye" and hung up.

Same story--my Windows computer has malware.  I asked the individual to rethink their life--the individual did seem to up to doing it though.

I just received two calls from this number. First one I missed and they left no message; second I answered and they hung up soon as I did. WTH!

Just got a call from this number.  Annoying woman kept telling me I have "malware on my computer downloading from the unsecured website".  She asked me if I have a windows flag key on my keyboard.  I said no (I have a mac).  She asked me to turn on the windows OS.  I asked her why.  She said I have "malware downloading from the unsecured website."  I asked her how she knew and she hung up.

the call is driving me crazy!!!!! the first time i got this call was a month ago,and now they call me whenever they want to call. When i got the call at 2am, i was trying to block the number,but my phone doesnt support that function. you know what happened now? they call me every 20 min staring 7am . i got same experience like silence but never talked with them only silence.

I keep receiving calls from this number with no message.  When I call the number, the recording says it is not in service. Very annoying

Silence at the end of the line, recorded message finally said "Goodbye".  The number has been calling me in the morning all week.

I keep get call from this number. they have call me 3 time today no message left the first time i pickup th third time and was hung up on.

I don't want u call me every day ok and please STOP call me anymore .

I said hello, no response for five seconds which is typical of a telemarketer. A guy with a British accent addressed me by name and said he was from the "IT department" and needed to talk to me urgently about my computer. I stopped him and told him never to call me again and to go to hell.

Silence.  Then goodbye.  Same as everyone else.

I'm getting several calls from this number every morning.  The few time I've picked up, I get silence or a computer "goodbye" (as Linda experienced).  
This AM (much to my joy), I talked to a human being who informed me that my computer had malware. I was cut off before I could think of an appropriate "go to hell" response.

Same as above, must of received at least 6 of these calls over the last few weeks.  Sometimes just silence, and sometimes a computerized 'goodbye'.
I am in New Zealand, so obviously this is a widespread problem.

They called my land line two nights in a row. First night they told me I had a computer virus. Second night they told me someone had called them and wanted to change the address of my phone no? What qwacks! Checked their area code and it is from a place called Guinea Bissau which is South Africa.

I am keep receiving call from this number and people are annoying all the time and keep threating and different ways.

I get multiple calls a day to my cell. Only answered once, but no one was there. Very annoying.

got the same call.  Needing to get on computer immediately. Told them to call back.  kept saying home computer and we don't have a home computer

My experience was nearly identical to Peggy Stine's above.  I'm an IT manager in my day job so this sounded more like they were trying to hack my computer than fix it. I listened to his schtick until I got what he was trying to do. They are basically doing the EVENTVWR Scam. They claim your computer contacted them. They have you run the MSDOS command >ASSOC which scrolls pages of official looking stuff, but towards the end it gives a 30+ digit CLSID value which the caller reads to you to "verify" it was your that called them.  This number is actually the same on all computers. We just think any number that long must be unique.
I hung up at that point, but, if you Google EVENTVWR Scam you will see they ask for your credit card to fix it.  There are variations where they may ask you to download something or let the "Support Person" login to fix it.  Either way, nothing good will come of listening to them.  Hang Up!

This appears to be a Computer Security company or entitiy purporting that your computer is doing "bad" things.

When asked "Exactly what bad things is my computer doing? Specifically, what have you detected, what is the malware, spyware, or bot-net it's infected with?" the caller hung up.

What is more distrubing is that they have my cell phone and my home phone number!

When they called my cell phone, I didn't say anything and was immeadiately hung up on.

Received call - 245-896-4256 from Creative Solutions or something like that, indicated they were receiving "error" reports of my computer, and that my computer would crash. When I asked specifics if they were contracted with Hewlett Packard (HP), the woman hung up. NOTE:  When I started asking specific question's she became very rude.

The caller had either an Indian or Pakastianey accent.

Really nasty person trying to tell me they had received an error message and that I had downloaded some malicious software.   I had fun for a few minutes quizzing her on the nature of the error message.

I got the call on my cell phone. No one there when I answered. Am going to block the number.

I got the same thing. Nobody spoke then a computer voice "Goodbye". Tried calling this number back and the call "could not be completed" per a recording.

guy called me from this number this morning, when i got irritated he told me i was just "blabbing" and that i sounded "like an idiot." I yelled at him and hung up. I see that that number called my cell phone again an hour ago. Owning a cell phone should not automatically sign us up for harassment!

I just got a call from this number.  I answered and after a few seconds of silence, heard a computer-generated voice say "Goodbye" and the other side hung up.

Same story as above - claimed to be from 'Creative Solutions.' He hung up on me, too.
