Got a call from them this morning asking about whether our small business had uses credit cards, already up to 4 calls this day.

They are not with QuickBooks. This phone number can not be found on the internet, wouldn't you think that a legitimate business would at least have a phone number that can be traced to them?
These people are SCAM artists, anyone who calls you from a phone number THAT DOES NOT EXIST - IS a SCAM artist.

I have been getting phone calls from this number and a private number about once a week. Twice I have answered and it was someone trying to get me to buy merchandise for my very small business. I never knew they were in any way connected with Quickbooks, but I am now learning this by reading the comments below. I do use quickbooks for my business so what I am now assuming is that Quickbooks sold my name and number to these people. Lovely.

rec'd a text telling me to go to a website "that Tommy just sold his car on" ... coincidentally I have a vehicle up for sale on CraigsList ... they've yet to reply to my text.

I get calls from this number quite often. Caller id shows ''unknown name'' I never answer known callers. They never leave a message.

Quickbooks calls repeatedly. And always on my cell phone.
I waste as much of their time as I can, if I have the time.
I have a rule: NEVER EVER patronize businesses that STEAL from me. And any time someone calls my cell to sell THEIR product on MY dime without my PRIOR permission, THEY ARE STEALING FROM ME.
These particular CROOKS tell you that they are giving away free Quickbooks. Then they tell you that you must sign up for something to get it free. So, they are LIARS, and Quickbooks is NOT FREE.
Second rule: NEVER EVER patronize businesses that LIE to me. FREE means WITHOUT COST or OBLIGATION. If I must do more than provide a method to get their free product, IT IS NOT FREE.

If you;ve recently registered a Domain name or a similar page on a website, i'm gonna bet this is a sales call.

MY NUMBER DOUBLES AS A PERSONAL NUMBER AND A BUSINESS NUMBER. SO IF A NUMBER COME UP THAT I DON'T RECOGNIZE I SIMPLY ANSWER IT WITH A GREETING LIKE: GOOD MORNING, GOOD AFTERNOON, OR GOOD EVENING, FOLLOWED BY THE LAST FOUR NUMBERS OF MY TELEPHONE NUMBER SO THAT WHOMEVER IS CALLING ME REALLY DON'T HAVE A CLUE THAT THEY ARE CALLING ME AT MY PERSONAL NUMBER.
