They are a debt collector. Just call the number back and ask to be removed from their call list.

Recieve a call to from 251-460-0603. April 26, 2013 They would say anything on the answer machine. They hung up. I looked them up and they are Lawyer, debt collectors. No one at our home owns anyone anything.

I have been receiving calls from this firm under two different numbers for a week. I receive several calls in a day. At all hours. If I answer, the caller hangs up. One voice message was left, concerning debt collection for "someone associated with my phone number". That is a complete lie, we have excellent credit and no outstanding debt. I am positive of that fact. I have reported both numbers. A lot of good that does, except to ensure the rest of us that these parasites are scammers. My research indicates the same as everyone else': Clinton P. Stokes, also with some associates, an attorney in Mobile, Alabama. I find it curious that this creep has emerged in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. I live in an area of destruction from that storm. Anyone else file an insurance claim? Via an out-of-state adjuster?

Clinton P. Stokes, sucker firm. Buys old outdated debts and tries to collect on them. Be extremely careful if you answer the call, they will try to convince you that you owe money on a debt that might not even be yours.  They have violated the FDCPA numerous times, should be put out of business by the state attorney, but alas money talks and BS walks.  If you feel you have been violated by them please contact your state attorney general and report them.

I get calls sometimes 4 - 5 a day  early in the AM  & Late in the PM from this & other number but it is stokes clinton

This number repeatedly calls my house. Sometimes 3-4 times a day.  I called them to ask them to remove my number since they are trying to reach my daughter and she does not live with me.  They refused saying that they talked with her on September 2, 2010 at my house.  I have contacted the police and blocked this number from my phone number.  I have spoken with an officer at the Police Department.  He contacted them and they said that they would remove the phone number as of today 10-11-10.  The person that I spoke with on the same number just minutes before stated that he would not remove my number because they had spoken with my daughter on this number.  He was extremely rude to me on the phone.  I told him that I was going to report them to the police and I hung up the phone.

This number is connected with the 251-460-056.  They call 3 and 4 times a day. First with the 460-056, then with the 460-0603.

I just got a call from a "Clinton P. Stokes", (on my caller ID). Some lady asked if my name was correct, and said "wait a minute". The phone number they are using now is (251)460-0566. I hung up on her!!!!

Just got a call from this number.  The caller ID says Clinton P. Stokes and the area code is Alabama.

Dont know anyone in Alabama so didn't pick up the call, and they didnt leave a message on my voice mail.

I was getting calls from this number about twice a day for a week. Finnally someone was on the other end of the phone.  They were looking for someone who doesn't even live here.  Same last name as mine but a total stranger.  This person owes money to Victoria Secret.  So if you are getting a call from these people  I would pull your credit report and see if you owe someone.

I started receiving calls from this number at work.  I have never received calls anywhere other than work and we are not allowed to receive personal calls at work.  I answer the phone and no one answrs, then they hang up, no message, nothing.  This is very annoying.  After doing some research, I found that this number belongs to a Law Firm in Alabama and they specialize in collections.  Just thought I would let everyone know, if you are getting calls from them, it is either a scam, someone has used your name and defaulted on a debt, or you yourself defaulted on a debt.

I receive calls from this number daily on a fax line at work. If I answer it they do not respond. If I do not answer there is no fax and the line disconnects after a few seconds. Very Annoying!!!

My mom gets calls a couple times a week from this number. Neither of us answer unknown calls. They never leave a msg.

This number calls sporadically.  If I answer, there is silence; if I don't answer, they leave no message.
