Hi Big Red

I know this was a while ago but you got the wrong area code when you did the call back registry.  Enez's phone # is the same besides the area code.  He's had the same number for over 40 years and has no affiliation with any telemarketing.

Truncated pre-recorded message left on my voicemail advertising reduced interest rates on credit card.  Message did not identify which company was calling.  Caller ID said it was "REWARD SOLUTION".

Thank you so much for the heads-up.  I am so tired of getting these calls that I dialed the number (235-246-8538) to tell them to stop calling and the number didn't ring through.  I did a quick Google search on the number and found this site and your advice, so you've been TREMENDOUSLY helpful to me in keeping me away from these awful theives!!!  I did activate my call blocking today (we'll see if that works) and I will complain at do-not-call.  Thanks again so much!

Won't do any good. They don't mind being a**les. If you really want revenge, just say "Hello" wait a few seconds and say, "Oh no, the baby. Just a minute." Then leave the phone just sitting there. It wastes their time and makes their scam less profitable.

Also got a call from Reward Solution.   When I informed them that I was on donotcall.gov list and that they were committing a felony, the guy started screaming.  When I hung up, he threatened to "come to my house and kick your a**".

These are real bad actors.

Today I first received a call from 253-246-8538 CID "Unknown Name" at 2:33 p.m. and when I said hello, I received a recording that they are calling about my credit card but there is no problem with it, they just want to offer me a lower rate and if I want that, press #1. Upon doing that, a person asks "are you responding to the lower credit card rate?" and when I responded " yes, but I have no credit"......CLICK was hung up on.

Then I received a call from 567-248-0000 at 4:07 pm with the same recording only I should press #9. When I did that, nothing happened.

I have reported them in the past when they tried to represent my credit card company.

So, I don't know why they keep trying to scam people since everyone knows about them now. And why do they call the number number twice in one day? Some telemarketers are idiots. And I suppose there is the one or two idiots who think it's a great idea to get a lower rate????? THAT's why they keep at it. So thanks.

I get a call from this number asking me to return a book from Dan Olson and asking why I haven't returned the call because he "needs that book".  I called and it indicates its a marketing company and press 1 to stop receiving calls.  I called Verizon and had the number blocked and checked for charges as well.  There were no charges.  Unfortantely the block is only good for a year.

I get the call periodically too.  Same 'lower you credit card interest rate' thing.  My caller ID says 'Card Services'.  I would have to say the type of call is phishing, as they want your CC info and I really don't get the feeling that it's legitimate.

We are on the Do Not Call list.  This number keeps calling. Today I answered and it was recording about "lower your interest rates" with the option to press "1" to speak with someone. When he came on the line, the conversation went like this:
Me: Do NOT call this number again!
Him: Did you used to be a stripper?
Me: Do NOT call this number again! Do you understand?
Him: Did you used to be a stripper?
Me: Do NOT call this number again. Do you understand?
Him: Yes I understand, but did you used to be a stripper in your younger days?
Me: Do NOT call this number again ___hole.
I hung up.
By the way, I'm 63 years old and the only stripping I have done is furniture.
Someone needs to put "Reward Solutions" out of business.

I received a call from this number and several other numbers with the same "This is racheal and we can lower your interest rate message".  I pressed one to talk to someone...his name was Tom Jones(!).  he asked me a lot of personal questions to which I gave fake answers.  Then he assured me he could lower my interest rate after I told him i was paying 2.3% (!).  All he needed was my credit card number and the security code off the back (c'mon...are people really that stupid?).  So I told him to hold on a second that i had to go get my card....put the phone down and waited ten minutes.  Then I picked it up again and asked if he was still there...he was.  I asked him to call back at another number in ten minutes....he said he would so I gave him the number for the attorney generals office.

Haven't received another call since.

These a***ipes are an outfit called Reward Solutions and are pitching to lower credit card interest rate by negotiating a settlement buyout with all your credit card companies that will end up ruining your credit while lining the pockets of Reward Solutions. When I told their rep that my phone number is on a Do Not Call Registry, the rep hung up on me. True a***ipes.

Credit card scam this company used to call themselves Card Member services spoofing the name of the real CardMember services a ligitimate Credit card company that many people have.  When I called the real CardMember services they told me it wasn't them.  This scam first started and changed probably due to complaints to authorities and possibly from complaints from the real Cardmember services.  At first the scam Identified itself as CardMember services and then ask you to press 1 or stay on the line to speak to someone ABOUT YOUR ACCOUNT.  (as if you had an account with them and that there might be a problem.) Later it changed still identifing itself Card Member services and to press 1 to talk to a representative about lowering your interest rate(still leading you to believe that it is YOUR  credit card company wanting to lower your rate when in fact it is not your credit card company.  Changing again the scam no longer identifies itself as Card Member services probably from complaints from the real CardMember services to authorities, but still try to make you believe that it is Your credit card company wanting to lower your interest rate.

Its a notorious Credit Card Scam. Shockingly they have been in business for 5 years. http://moneywatch.bnet.com/saving-money/blog/ ... all-for-it/106/
Do-Not-Call is useless. They have hundreds of numbers across the country. The only way to stop them is to contact the phone provider.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THEY ASK FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, THE 1800 NUMBER TO THE CREDIT CARD THAT YOU ARE GIVING THEM AND ASK FOR YOUR CID NUMBER. THEY ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD AS WELL. THEN THEY USE YOUR CARD AT THEIR DISCRETION. THEY EVEN CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD SO WHEN YOU CALL IN ITS HARD TO GET TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

A simple Google search of Credit Card Service or Card Service will bring up a slueth and a long history of scams. PLEASE PEOPLE BE SMART. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN LOWER YOUR APR ARE THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES THEMSELVES. PERIOD. (Unless you are with a physical certified liscensed and registered debt reduction company).

I am sick and tired of these people.  They are so rude when you tell them to stop calling.  I am on the national do not call list and would love to report them but I can't get the name of the Company and the phone number reverse directory doesn't track to any company name.  If we can identify who they are and file a complaint, they can be shut down and/or fined.

It is a collection agency. DO NOT answer or call the number back from your home phone. You will be recorded when you do. It is hard to tell them that you aren't Mr. or Mrs. So-and-so that owes money when your voice matches the one that was recorded with the creditor  when they said, "This call may be recorded for quality assurance."

I just a few minutes ago ( 10-26-2011 @ 12:39 PM) received a solicitor call from the phone number 253-246-8538, with a recorded message inferring that my credit card will likely be getting an increase in interest rates.  Since I have no active credit cards, I surmised that this was a solicitation for some business.  I answered the phone, and clicked on number one to speak to someone.  A man answered, and asked if I was calling about their services.  I said I had received a call, and clicked on number one as instructed, and that I am on several DO NOT CALL LiSTS,  He said nothing and hung up.

On my caller iD it simply said Reward Solutions.

This is not really so much a scam.  These companies do lower your interest rates, but they charge you to do it.  If you really want to lower your interest rates free of charge you can contact 501-c3 not for profit organisations and it is done at no upfront cost to you.  Where they are breaking the law is by using a robotic dialer - this is the "Raechel" lady that you always hear.  It is extremely illegal to do this and if they are caught the dep of agriculture will have the owners arrested no doubt!

Furthermore these telemarketing companies use voip based phone numbers.  You will find that 99% of these companies are based in Florida or Las vegas.
