got a missed call on my cell phone. I called the number back and got a recording about it not being a working number. Then it says to contact your phone carrier to be removed? wth? wonder if same number hubby got on his cell phone last night? had the same 253 area code.

I just got a call from same number but they didn't talk . when i dialed the number back a verizon operator came on and stopped my call from being completed.

This number (253) 785-0484 is not in service when you call back. However, I received a call from that number tonight. This number is a shame, fictitious in nature, and you cannot reach them calling back since the number is no longer in service. By virtue of the fact that this number can call precludes them from having a not in service phone number and should be reported to the FCC immediately.

Just got a call from this number on my AT&T cellphone. Said Des Moines, WA and there was no way I was answering. From the above comments it sounds like that was smart.

ID theft / money scam / spying / false number.
Call it back and the phone company insists it does not exist.
So...It's a phreaked phone number / false number.
The only people that use false numbers are scammers and spies.
If you get constantly called by this number - report it to your phone company.
Call type only lists prank call - but false numbers are a big RED FLAG indeed.

THIS NUMBER CALLED MY 14yr OLD DAUGHTERS CELL PHONE BUT WHEN SHE ANSWERED THERE WAS NO ONE THERE. SHE TOLD ME ABOUT IT AND I LOOKED UP THE NUMBER AND ALSO CALLED IT BACK. My wife got a call From 253-785-0484, then 5 min. later I got one. We don't answer calls from anyone that isn't in our phone book. I think they are selling e-cigs, based on some looking on the internet.

This number just called my friend around 7:06 then called me probably about 15 minutes later neither of us answered... We were right next to each other also. Called back to a recording that said it was out of service.

I have StraightTalk and this number called me on 01-03-14 at 7:26pm. I don't answer strange calls from out of state like this. This is a scam caller. Beware!!!

Didn't answer and no message. These are NOT companies or phone service providers selling our phone numbers people. It is simply a computer program robo-dialing for cold-call telemarketing. No way to stop it, so just don't answer. I get most calls like this out of the states of WA and FL. If your phone is like mine and has a feature to block numbers, then use it.
