Sales concerning Microsoft Office365. They'll call multiple times in a row. But I had already subscribed. He asked why I had inquired about the demo again. Not sure how that happened.

Received a call from Dustin (female) 800 215-0948 x751815; says she was following up on a server download. My husband had downloaded a trial version of software to review before he decided to purchase it.
Thank you to the posts that gave an alert that this is not actually microsoft, but a third party retailer. Althogh, perhaps the question is...how do these people know about the downloads and obtain our personal information. I'm betting it's a Microsoft partner and Microsoft sent them our infomation.

I received a call and voicemail after I downloaded Windows Server 2008 R2 trial. These guys are legitimate, not scammers or spammers.

Blah.... I will NEVER download a free trial to try anything again from MS. All they do is call and annoy you EVERY SINGLE DAY trying to get you to buy it.... omg..... I uninstalled the product after about 10 minutes... but yet they keep annoying me...

I got the same call today from a Paul Gryner or something like that. Same message about I downloaded a trial version of MS Server, which I did. It's not a scam, just MS trying to find out what people who downloaded these trial versions thought of the products. I'm not calling back because I just downloaded the product to enter a contest MS was running. Haven't used the product at all.

It's Microsoft - anytime you download any trial software they will call and follow up to see if they can sell you the full version.

Oh my god, you're right! There *is* only one Michael Teller in the entire US!
Sam 2012-06-07 18:05:32 Unknown
Called for an "Ashley". My voicemail clearly says "Sam" but they left a message anyway. John Roth on behalf of Microsoft.

I got a call from this number, and the message was 10 seconds of heavy breathing before hanging up. It's a tad creepy.

I got a call from a woman saying she's with Microsoft and needed to follow up on some software I recently purchased. I haven't purchased anything.

Another phone scam...they allegedly represent Microsoft. But they don't. Another scamming sales call....sheesh

I also got a call from a "Shawn" at ext 751823 saying he was from Microsoft...also after I had downloaded a trial version of Microsoft Office (Word). Since it was a voice-mail message and when I called back, the 800 number says: MICROSOFT and so does Shawn say it in his message; however, before leaving a message, I checked on here first. I no longer have the trial version so I now have decided to not even call back.

I have never given my cell phone number to anyone except my immediate family.
There is no way that Microsoft could have obtained my cell phone number legally.

i got this too

Beware. These guys are not Microsoft! Call your reseller reps, they are the only companies you can trust for MS without buying direct. Any company that calls claiming to be with MIcrosoft is lying. If they lie about who they are and who they represent, how can you trust them!?
Steve 2011-06-06 20:57:18 Unknown
Uh, right. They pay you to say that...correct?
Misty 2011-06-06 20:57:18 Unknown
Actually this is a Microsoft partner company which is outsourced by Microsoft. All they are doing is finiding out our business objectives and forwarding our information off to a Microsoft Partner in our area. I have spoken to both Joe and Amy and they both really got me in touch with a Microsoft partner. By answering their questions the partners knew what I wanted right away and they also gave me very good pricing!

I downloaded a trial version of MS Visio 2010. Next day got a call from Joel tarentino saying calling from Microsoft. 18002150948 X 4067 . when I called back it goes to VM.
Anthony 2011-06-06 20:57:18 Unknown
I've received two calls already from Joe Terantino. The first call came a day or two after downloaded a trial version of Office 2010 last week, followed by a second call today. Both calls went to my voicemail.
In the VM message the caller stated he was from Microsoft and calling in regards to MS Office 2010.

I recieved a call from Michale Mahea (x4416) at this number. Said he was calling on behalf of Microsoft. No topic in the message. I'm not returning the call since there isn't a topic.
Gary Sanchez 2011-06-06 20:57:18 Unknown
I got a call from Joe Tarantino saying he was from Microsoft but the return calls all go to voicemail. It's time to report them to the FCC.
Curly 2011-06-06 20:57:18 Unknown
I received the same type of call, but wasn't here to answer the call, they just left a vague message. I returned the call to get their voicemal. The lady that called me had a really hot voice though.

I had downloaded some trial software. Microsoft was calling to follow up and gather information about our biz. The questions asked weren't invasive, more typical sales call-ish. The caller did have the info I had entered (address, phone, etc.) to download the trial. Caller also asked if we had a dedicated MS reseller that he could forward the info to.
Hopefully this won't segue into a license audit...

I ordered the 6 month trial version of SBS 2010 and a day later Microsoft calls. Hum...
