Same thing is happening to my husband but he never called Microsoft. Same number, same type of response when picked up or calling back. Let me know if you find anything out!

10 calls yesterday and 5 so far today. All I hear is silence and then hangs up. Tried calling back and it disconnects immediately. Extremely frustrated. This is defiantly harassment to me. I don't know what I can do to handle this or if its even possible to stop the folks who are responsible for the calls.

This is only one of several numbers that call me from the same outfit.  The automated calling system they use is spoofing cell phone numbers from all over to try to make people pick up.  Just for example a few that are on my recent call list on my phone- Las Vegas-NV, Tucson,AZ-CO, USA-NY, USA-Kent, WA- and those are just in my last 60 calls.  The pitch starts with a recording that says  "The FBI reports a home is broken into every 15 seconds in the US.".  This has been going on for about 6 months for me.  Nothing you do will make them stop.  I've tried it all...press 2 to get off the list-BS they called back in under 15 minutes on that one.  Press 1 to talk to a rep- Most times they just hang up no matter what you say.  One day I asked the guy if the FBI had any statistics on telemarketers being tracked down and getting the S**T slapped out of them.  He tried to say something back and I hung up on him.  I spent about 2 days a few months back digging into this deal, and the best I can figure out from what I found is that they are a 3rd party contractor for some legitimate business that is violating the do not call list.  That's the reason for the intricate phone number spoofing, so they don't end up with a bunch of FCC complaints on the same number and they stay under the radar of the authorities.  They get paid if the call is picked up no matter what.  Whether you, OR your voicemail opens the line.  To them open line=successful call.   It's a question of pure volume that they can report and verify back to their client.  It's a disaster and I don't see it ending anytime soon. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but If they've got your number you're pretty much screwed.

This number is stupid keeps calling me , can't call them back and they leave no message. I try to answer and there is just silence. I'm goin to just block them. I'm sure it is something from t-Mobil they always sell people's information and they are a worthless company.

I had called Customer Support for Microsoft Windows (about 11:15am) - before being transferred to Tech Sup. they asked for my phone number to complete their side of the call.  I was unable to wait for Tech (20+min queue times) so I hung up.  I did not choose the call-back option.  About 2 hrs later I received a call from this number.  They have called 5 times now (this last time being 7:55pm)  The one time I was able to answer, there was no reply on the other end, and it almost immediately disconnected.  I tried calling back, but it either instantly disconnects, or rings as busy.  I would like to know if this is something else, or linked to Microsoft - I would hate to think they are dropping me into a 3rd party call-list just because I called to get some help with one of their crappy products.  Highly upset here..........

Yep. That number has called me 6 times today. It hangs up the second I answer. I live in the 408 area code. It will not let me call it back either. If this continues, I think I will call the police. This is harrasment.

They just keep calling and are not saying anything and you cant call back

A man named Joe called my number several times about a home security system. I told him I didn't need it because I had a gun , he said than an intruder would shoot my dog. Who says things like that? Is this even a real company? How do you find out?

I've been getting calls from this number for about two weeks now.

I am receiving a call from this phone number at least 4 times a day!  He claims his name is Joe.

Everyday for the last 4.  Also get a call from 1-415-375-0954. Same company
