If Kohl's has called me 12-15 times a day for the past week, and I DO NOT have a Kohl's card, then just WHO is harassing WHO?

I have tried, repeatedly, to get them to take MY number off of "Misty Smith's" account. No one is here by that name. We have had our home number and cell #'s for over 8 years. My last name is NOT Smith.......not even close.

I have been accused of lying to Kohl's and trying to "cover" for this debtor. They refuse to take my number off. I have asked them to run my number through the White Pages, and see what they get. They admitted that SMITH is not our last name, and insist that it is up to ME to prove that there is no Misty Smith here. I have HAD IT!

My next step is to find a lawyer......

First of all, some of you need to stop being so paranoid.  IT IS A LEGITIMATE CALL FROM KOHLS.  Go to their website and call their customer service line and they will tell you why they are calling.  In my case, they needed my updated payment information since I recently changed bank account numbers for the bank I use to make payments.  I had forgotten this and my last payment did not go through.  Had they not called, I would have received a late payment and it would have affected my credit.  I am glad they called me.   If you aren't paying your bill, they have every right to call you and demand payment.  Don't buy something if you aren't going to pay for it.  Secondly, if you haven't used Kohls or don't have an account with them, then something else is obviously wrong.  Someone may be using your information to make charges so it is in your best interest to call them and get things figured out.  Lastly, the person who suggested calls directed to Chief Financial Officer should know that you are opening yourselves up to harrassment charges.  Kohls obviously has your number for collection or eroneous reasons, which is YOUR responsibility to straighten out.  They are calling you legally, but your actions border on illegal.

Then asked me to verify the last 4 of my ss#. I hung up!

I receive a call from this number at least once a day, every day. STOP !!!!

I got a call from this number daily in the afternoon and it left no message. Eventually I decided to answer and it was a Kohl's recording. I pressed a button to speak to a representative and they wanted to confirm my name and last four of my social. I thought it was a scam and told them so, but she insisted it wasn't. Yeah right. So I called back the Kohl's number from their website to report this scam artist and it turned out they really were seeking a payment that was past due! I gave them the number that repeatedly called me and they confirmed that it was indeed Kohl's.

I just called the number back because they have called me many times. I told her I was not comfortable giving out any information without knowing why. She said if you are more comfortable you can call the number on the back of the card.

So that is what I did. Turns out my payment was overdue

My phone showed that I had a call from this number several times showing it was Kohl's.  No message was left.  Yesterday when I was home I got the call again. I did answer and waited for a message.  There was a long silence after which I was supposed to affirm that the information stated was correct. There was no information given so how could I say if it was correct?  I hung up.  The next day I got another call another call.  Same thing, except I waited and a list of numbers was given to push for various reasons.  I pushed #7 to speak to a person.  That person said I was late in my Kohl's payment, read off my bank account number, and said if I gave him the go ahead to pay it today via the phone I could avoid all late fees.  I said go ahead.  He did it, gave me a receipt number and told me I could check for it online, but if I had any questions to call the number he was calling from for the quickest response.  As the day went on, I began to feel uneasy about this transaction.  Went to myKohl's account online and checked my credit account.  It did not appear that anything had transpired.  I decided to google the # and came to this site.  Got more concerned.  Then called the Kohl's 855 customer service number and talked to a representative.  He had all the information about the transaction, so the call was legitimate.  It did come from Kohl's and the transaction was in process and all fees would be refunded to me.  What a relief!

Ive gotten a call from this number every day, sometimes twice a day, since saturday. I dont answer numbers i dont know. I assume if its something important theyll leave a message. Tehy always leave like a 2 second message if silence. I have no intentions of answering and if it keeps ill be blocking the number

This number called asking for my husband, saying it was Kohl's.  When I pushed the number to indicate I was not him, it had a recorded message saying to tell him to call some 800 number, then it hung up.  I checked our Kohl's account balance and our account was past due but I had already scheduled a payment for 4 days from now over a week ago so I don't know why they are now calling to remind him to pay on a scheduled automated transaction (I'm assuming that's what the call was in reference to).  The right hand and left hand apparently don't talk to one another.

I recieve phone calls from this place DAILY! BEWARE - This is NOT Kohl's - This is a scam! The first thing they do when you call back (I called from a blocked number) is ask for your Social Security Number. NO LEGITMATE company will EVER ask for your social security number. I told them what they are doing and that it is illegal, she said,
"No it's not, this is Kohl's corporate office out of San Antonio, and it is not a scam, I'll get my supervisor..."  -hold music- and straight to a fake survey. I've called Kohls and I've contacted the proper authorities. After doing so there can be NO DOUBT that this IS a scam, even Kohl's has identified it as such. When calling it says you've been randomly selected to take a survey after the call is over. It matters not if you call 100 times - you'll ALWAYS be selected "randomly", but it is only an attempt to get still more personal information about your identity.
I suggest others should call this number and ask as many questions as you can, while recording the conversation. One thing you can do if being harrassed is flood their phones with 'blocked number' phone calls. hahaha. If they are calling you several times daily and asking for your soc sec# and harrassing you, do the same to them, call them several times daily, and tell them they are a scam. Most important, report this to Kohls and any relevant government agencies.

I had a call at 1pm from this number and did not answer. They did not leave a message.  They just called again, and I did answer.  There was no one on the other end; however, the line was open.  Won't be answering again.  Definite scam!  The number is registered with AT&T out of Menomonee falls, Wisconsin.  

What is it that they need to discuss? Duh.

This number calls my mom a lot. It is starting to reduce. We don't answer. Maybe a scam. It leaves a message saying please call Kohl's department store.

Automated message from Kohls asking for last 4 numbers of my ssn. My account is in good standing. I think its a scam.

This is Kohl's collections dept. This number has called me in the past when I've been late, and is calling me daily now. And yes, my payment is past due. I just let it ring to voice mail (it calls my cell, and I have the ringer turned off during the day while I'm at work) and when payday rolls around I'll pay the bill.

This is a scam. They contacted me regarding an order from their online website. I've never ordered anything from their website. The 888 number they gave me to contact them back regarding this supposed order doesn't match any of the online customer service numbers for Kohls. They also mentioned something about having to call back within 24 hours. Companies never give you a time limit to contact them. That's bad customer service and just nonsensical.

I keep getting phone calls from this # but I don't answer unknown #'s. They never leave messages and it's everyday around 8:00 ish.

They have called me asking me for my Social Security number and a credit card, saying I am behind on my Kohl's account.  I asked who they were, as I am a Supervisor for Kohl's and my account is paid off.  They then said they have to verify my account.  Kohl's does not do business like this.  I have called the regional manager and they said it is a scam and somehow the people that are doing this, have linked their customer service number with their scam.  As usual never give out your social security number or any personal information no one, unless you called the company that you are wanting to deal with personally.

They ask for my social on the automated call. No reason for this. They never leave a message.

I get 2-3 calls a day. I NEVER answer....you think they would give up. I don't even shop at Kohls!
