Got a call today.  No one on the line.  I am in Ontario, Canada.  I believe a machine is doing the dialing and we are answering before a live person can make their pitch.

Just got a call from this number at 1:55am in ny,WTF

I'm also in the UK and got a call from this number this afternoon. I called it back and got a message along the lines of:

   Automated removal service. To prevent further calls, enter your
   phone number area code first.

I didn't enter a number, so I don't know what comes next. I won't bother unless I hear from them again.

received call from 2697682126, a scam about a vacation to mexico and costa rica.

Phoned LUCRE (who is the telecom provider) as suggested by Mike above, spoke to a chap named Kevin who said he'd get in contact with the customer and tell them to remove my number from whatever list they're using.

As Mike says I recommend as many people do this as possible, LUCRE will get sick and tired of fielding complaints for their customer and take action.

Given the phone call was for debt reduction, it might be a UK company using a cheap international telemarketing firm to skirt round the TPS. Hopefully someone will be able to get the Company Name, then we can take the complaints direct to them.

Missed a call from +1-269-768-2126 (I'm in the UK). Thought it my be connected with work but checked here and it seems to be another con job.

I received a call from these people thirty seconds ago, but I did not bother answering it. How on earth do these companies get hold of these telephone numbers?

Ok, I have just rung Lucre Inc on 001 (616)361-0128 and reported this number as calling me, that I am registered in the UK not to receive marketing calls.  They asked for my number and said they would investigate the usage with thier client.  I would suggest that the more people that complain to them, the more is likely to be done about it.

Called today at 9:14am.

Just tried ringing the number and obviously it's disconnected, can find that the line is operated by LUCRE, INC but no way to find out who is actually using the line

Called today from 001 (269) 768-21226, today (16/05/2008) at 16:05, automated call concerning debt.

I have just received the third call from a company claiming the same debt solutions but the number was 1-269-768-2126.  I too am in the UK, registered on TPS and Ex Directory.

Recieved a call today (16/05/08 @ 16:05) about getting out of debt today from +1 2697682126. It was an automated call and said to press 5 to speak to an advisor. Didnt press it but I assume its going to transfer to a £1 a minute line or similar.

I got a call from this no. today 16th May @ 15:54pm, i too am in the UK.  I have caller display and didn't recognise the no. so didn't answer.  Can anyone advise who this company is?

Got a call from this number today, Sat 17th May at 13:25pm.  I'm in UK.  Got another call from similiar number yesterday also.  No answer today just hung up after 2 or 3 mins of me saying "hello, hello"?! Yesterday's call did answer...Blue something or other??  Hung up on them after telling them I wasn't interested in whatever they were selling or giving away!!! No clue who these people are...??
