Advised caller that this was fourth time they have called and that I was on National do not call list.  Said I would report them at this time.  They said they would remove me from their call list.

I received the same "American Direct" at 270-753-9024 on my caller ID.  The woman calling apologized that she had the wrong number and hung-up.

Got a call from American Direct 270-753-9024.  Offering a "key".  Stopped them before they got any further and advised them that I am on the National Do Not Call list.  They said they "don't have to comply with that since they are not offering to sell you anything" only offering to send you materials in the mail.  Ya, right.  Spoke to a Manager, Keith Brown.  To him to remove my number from his list and that I was complaining to FTC about them.  He said that they were using a "loop hole" in the law.  Clever.

I told them last month that I'm on the 'do not call' list and also reported them to the FTC. They just called again. I don't think they care if they are reported.

I called back and asked for a manager. "Ray" was very nice, took my number and said it wouldn't happen again. I asked if he has ever been contacted by the FTC and he said no. I said the FTC should be contacting him soon. I said he should google their number to see how many complaints there are.

Called for second time today:  over the weekend when I answered and asked who it was and that I was on the do not call list, the lady got snippy with me and said something to the effect of "they don't pay any attention to that".  I said they were breaking the law and I didn't want them to call again, to which she said "we'll call whoever we fxxxing feel like calling" and hung up.

They call here two to three times a day and if I answer no-one is there.  It's becoming very annoying, and I am on the National Do Not Call list.

Fortunately, their computer doesn't press 4, so they don't ring through.

I normally do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, but I did this time.  Before she could get into her sales pitch, I asked whether her company knew about the federal no-call list or do they simply choose to ignore it.  She said she was not familiar with the fed list. I told her I intend to report her company to the federal list and to my state no-call list as well.  She apologized and hung up.  Area Code 280 is in Kentucky.

I have done this before with telemarketers... when they start their speech, I ask then to hold for a minute. I then state out loud "did you hide the body?" I wait a couple of seconds like I am waiting for a reply and then state "I have my alibi, I am on the phone with (name of soliting company) American Direct." the caller, this last time named Cindy, gasped and hung up. so far this has worked every time.

American direct call today in the past 3 hrs. six (6) times.  I asked them to stop it and they keep calling.  The sell jwelery

I worked at American Direct for 1 day (i'm a college student, i needed a job!). They just have a random list of numbers and tell you to call and call and call and try to get peoples information to send them an invitation to their factory direct buying store. on this invitation there is a hand cut ford key that could turn the engine to a truck (there are other prizes too- which is where the $1000 gas card comes in). I don't THINK its a scam you just have to go and listen to an hour long presentation before you win your gift (like you would do if you were looking into buying a timeshare or something). Also, with the DNC list- if someone we called said something about that we had to say "well were not selling you anything over the phone do you still want me to take you off the list"... thats why they will still have your number even if youre on the DNC list... they will take your number off if you ask though. so, i'm not trying to say theyre amazing in anyway (like i said i only worked there one day because i hated it) but thats what they're calling about if you're in the austin texas area

I am on the Do Not Call List, but nobody seems to care.  I get just as many calls as before.  The difference is that now they're usually from far away area codes.

I hung up because I suspected fraud.

answered call and it was from american direct, 270-753-9024.  they asked for me and answered "uh huh, it is me".  RESPONSE:  HUH!  HUM! I responded HUH! and the female caller got upset and replies: HUH! HUH! o i hung up...

They called my cell phone. They hung up when I answered.

This lady called me today,caller id said American Direct.I answered,she said I've won 1,000 dollars in free gas cards.I told her I don't have a car.She then told me that I've won a new truck.yeah,right.She then asked if I would like to come to their showroom in Austin.I told her since I don't have a car and Austin is 70 miles away,It's not going to happen.She then said I could join over the phone with a credit card number.I asked her why would I join something that I could never get to and hung up on her.Idiots.I knew it was a scam anyways.I am on the DNC list and filed a complaint.

called about truck key.  asked for name and address.  said they were with american direct.

I received a call from 270-753-9024 and I searched online for it and it was from American Direct.  I did answer it and I knew when I saw the caller ID it was some dumb telemarketer and told them to (bleep) off and they called 2 more times!  I am sick of this!

Long running "contest" scam.

I keep getting calls from this number, with no message given. I want them to stop!

I received a call on my home phone from 270-753-9024 (Caller ID: "AMERICAN DIRECT") at 5:17 PM CDT on 08/27/2008.  Before I could answer the phone (after three rings), the caller hung up.

I am on the Do Not Call list, and an FCC Complaint will be filed for this call.

Didn't pick up phone - am on Do Not Call Registry and didn't recognize the phone no. - came up American Direct.  They did not care to leave a message.  I'm going to file a complaint on the Do Not Call Registry's website.
