Got a call from this number. Don't remember what the caller id showed.

Received a call from this number on my mobile.  I looked the number up and it was connected to
a resident in Pasadena Tx but came up on CID from Houston Tx.  I called it back and got the
recording that said the user of this number has not set up their voicemail.  I too am on the dnc list
but as everyone has said it doesn't seem to do any good

have gotten several calls in the last two weeks. no message left. am on the do not call list.

Trying to find out if I am home so they can rob me blind.  My Remmington is by the door.

They couldn't pay me enough to go on a cruise unless I can take these scammers with me an drown them and leave the bodies in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

This number was called left no message.  On the no call list but still got this number.

Gat call from this number, called right back and got the recording: This Verizon customer is not available.  I gues they've gone phishing.

I just got a call from the same people, and I think that I know how I get put on the list. I have been looking into some online colleges, and have been giving them my phone number to arrange to speak with a counselor. I think that some of these schools make deals with marketing firms to sell our personal info. What a miserable time in history to care about privacy, huh?

This call is from Verizon wireless.I called it back. The free cruise is a scam so they can talk to you.Do not let your guard down here. SHAME on you VERIZON.

Christ I REALLY want to go on another cruise..Wish this was real...But of course, having been on cruises before, they are not 100% exclusive as claimed by this shillho. Oh well. Next time.

You realise that when you GIVE your number to an organization, voluntarily, it skips over the Do Not Call reigtery. By writing your number down you are giving the number to a group. That group gives/sells that number to spammers.
That's how you get those calls. Try not giving your number out.

Got a call from this today.  Didn't answer and no message.  Checked on it here, and used my Mr mister app to block any further from it.  Good app that.  Recommend it.  My spam calls have like quadrupled here recently.   Very annoyed by it.

What is mind boggling with some of these calls, this number in particular... there is an image of a man and his two kids in the incoming phone number# Not the sharpest tack in the drawer.

i have received calls where everything is a 1  or everything is a 0
have also received calls where the number was just a single 1.

I received a call from the number.  I did not answer and no message was left.

I never answer any calls that come in as Unknown Name and/or Unknown Number. Also, if I don't recognize the number, I don't answer. I let these go to voicemail and then check them out here, if they bothered to leave a message. Most of them don't leave any information. I never call them back either.

I have an unlimited calling cell phone plan from T-Mobile that's pretty cheap, so I don't worry about going over my call limit. I also rarely use my cell phone, so again I never have to worry anyway. However, I know that not everyone has this, so you do what you must.

If you have a way to block calls, such as an app on your cell phone, great, if not, just don't answer them.

Scammers and telemarketers use a robo dialer (a computer generated thing) that dials every possible phone number combination; this way, they don't need to know anyone's actual phone number. No one comes on the line until you actual say something, such as, "hello", after you answer. Even then, you might not get anyone on the line. If you answer and say nothing, nothing usually happens.

Most, if not all scammers and telemarketers, use a PBX or VOIP service, which is a service or a box connected to a computer. They may have bought hundreds of possible phone numbers from the VOIP or PBX company that generate phone number CIDs. Or they may only have one number. They could be anywhere in the world and have a phone number that appears to be from anywhere too... Houston, TX, Tillamook, OR, Grand Junction, CO, Tampa, FL, Las Vegas, NV, Springfield, IL, NYC, NY, etc., etc.. So, you really have no idea where the scammers are (India, Russia, UK, some African nation, absolutely anywhere on Earth). It's an unfortunate reality.
