I have been getting calls from a company called Avante USA or something, looking for someone that is not me. I have already told them they have the wrong number THREE times. I got a call from this number and think it is them again. I have already filed a complaint with the FCC about them calling my cell phone and wasting minutes. From what other people have said about them on their other numbers, they are bullies and don't listen when you tell them they have the wrong number.

They keep calling me and saying that their name is avante. She keeps saying i owe money to University of Pheonix  i called them and i do not owe the amount she is telling me , i owe nowhere near that amount her name is Leitha Thomas. She also told me to send the money order directly to her

The company's name is Avante. They are a debt collection service. The number is a Comcast business number from Houston. It's not Comcast calling you. They just provide a telephony service to Avante.

On a sidenote, I would strongly suggest looking in to something like Google Voice. With GV, you can block numbers, and/or redirect to voicemail. Quite a bit more you can do that furthers empowers you.

Yes, I did receive a call from this number.  It's a new way for Avante USA to get ahold of it's unsuspecting "customers"  I spoke with Rob who basically called me a liar and said that he would never lie about what he sees directly in front of him.  He also belittled me in our conversation.  I ended laughing him, told him good-bye and that I was reporting the company to the FTC.
