I received a call today exactly like yours.  This guys name is Nick Thomas.  I could hardly understand what he was saying.  First he told me that there was a lawsuit filed against my social security number and then changed it to a legal matter.  Who are these people?????

you guys i got the same man callin my number too saying i have debt of 7,000 and he will settle for 1200 dollars if not i will be charged with 3 charges of theft and he also knows all my information i was like wtf mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!! somebody really needs to get this scub bag idoit!!!! and aresst this fake fraud scammer im just so affraid cuase he hasd and knows my life information...................... please justice needs to be served for this complete idoit !!!

the same exact thing happened to me and they called my job im gonna call them back and tell them to send me paper work cause it all sounds very fake.

Just got a call today 6/28/2012 at 11:45 from the same number. Guy tells me that I am facing 3 criminal charges of theft and am proly be going to jail in the next 15 minutes.  It will be transferred to my county court for prosecution. Yeah I did take a pay day loan out and default on it but hell, times were tough lost my job what was i suppose to do.  I am just gonna file for bankruptcy and throw it all away.

Some idiot that couldn't speak english to save his life said he worked for the Federal Government wanted me to give him my social security number!!! Was he kidding me???? When I called him a moron, he proceeded to call me all sorts of nasty names. Reported him to the BBB, Houston and Baytown Police.

These people called my cell and my work!! He had all my info, address, work, social, everything!!! Told me i had 3 charges and if i didn't pay i would be arrested and behind bars. I asked him for the name of the company and number he gave me the number and i told him i would call them back and he hung up on me. I have placed a complaint with the FTC and credit bureaus. Really freaked out that these people have my social.

I received a call from this number stating I had 3 lawsuits against me. THat they represent the State Investigation and if I did not pay the amount I would be suid and sent to jail for over a year. That they work for the Federal Government.

I too received the same type of call from the same #.said his name was agent Roger and criminal charges were being pursued against me.he said I got a payday loan online 6mon ago.which I know I didn't.I told him show me proof.than he started being rude.once I said I was calling police & better business bureau he hung up

This person called me several times claiming to work for the FBI investigations office stating that the government was suing me for unpaid debt and that i had to handle the debt by Monday or i would be arrested at my job or my work place. He said i owed 596.92 and that i needed to make payment arrangements. I notified my mother and sister of the situation and he called back insisting i make a payment when i told him to stop calling me he would hear from my attorney he yelled criminal criminal you are a criminal and u will pay. The fact this man knows where i live and work is very disturbing and actions need to be taken against him.

This Indian man keeps call my work cell phone.

Received 11 phones calls today from a man (possibly Indian origin) named Shawn Johnson (didn't ask for spelling of name) from Law & Justice Dept at 281-652-8531 looking for an employee.  Person was asked to call the person's home number since he was working and couldn't leave his station. He wanted us to give him the number for the employee.  Then I asked for his phone number to have the employee call him on his break.  He immediately hung up.

Steven, thank you for contacing your family member and following thru with the complaint process. Hopefully, their scam practices will be shut down soon! Public awareness is key here. Tara, ask them for their physical or mailing address the next time they harrass you. They will not be able to provide it because they do not reside in the USA. What is the common demoninator here? WHO sold our info to these scum bag pigs?
I hate to think of how many people have fallen prey to this. There may be some way of getting restitution for those who have.

I have today recieved a call from 281-652-8531 saying I took out a payday loan and was being charged with 3 counts of criminal. He said his name was Officer Walters but sounded Indian and said he was with the State Investigative Department. He said that officers would be at my house and work tomorrow to arrest me. He had my social, work number, home address, email etc. I know most of that is easy to get but my social??? I was freaking out but after reading the comments on here, I definitely believe this was scam. First he said I was being sued and then he said the company wrote off the debt but the state decided to criminal charge me. They have called my cell and desk line over 20 times in the last 10 mins, in fact they are calling me now. Placing my number on the blocked list.

Thank you my fellow AMERICANS ! i had a conversation with my uncle last night who is a REAL agent with FBI in Miami he has the ph # and advised to  basically ignore but that there is a investigation on going and that these are Indian vermin to ignore and follow Michelle's instructions to have ph # blockced.

Steven, I called the real FBI. She gave me the website to file a formal complaint (in which I did). Go to ftc.gov. The Federal Trade Commission and follow the prompts. Also, go to the National Registry "do not call" and put your number into the database. Very simple procedure. Go to google and type in "do not call" - click on website..

Its a scam.  They are trying to scare you into paying them a debt you don't owe.

They are located outside the US, out of reach of US law enforcement.  The can't be caught.  You can swear at them.  And if you can figure out what their native language is and call them nasty names in that language, thats even better.

i got a call from someone that doesn't speak English enough to understand. He said is name is Eric (yeah right) very rude stated there is an arrest warrant and that they have placed a lien aganist my SSN and will be faxing these papers to my employer.  who in the hell are they?  Are they even legally in this country? Whom should i report them to?

They are total SCAMMERS! I informed these POS (pieces of s***) that I have family members working in the profession of prosecuting criminals- I demanded their physical address - man who speaks VERY broken english said he could not give out that information- so I demanded a mailing address because I'm two seconds away from filing a harrassment suit against them and need address to send the court papers to. He hung up on me. I also reported them to the real FBI. Yes, I called the REAL FBI. I don't take kindly to threats.
These people call while impersonating themselves as the FBI - they have in fact opened themselves up to all kinds of federal and local charges. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY and report them to your local authorities!! BBB is next on my list, thanks!

keep getting calls fron this number saying that they  are with the united states federal investigations and when i called them back the were very rude!

Don't know who this is and I've reported them to the BBB
