I keep getting calls frm this number - 281-763-0471, threatening me with some sort of legal action, and jail. The caller, who had some sort of Indian accent threatened me with check fraud charges and others I could not understand.  Of course, none of this is true.    They got my information when I applied for a payday loan.  Applying for this loan was a bad, bad mistake because these fools now have my information.  Regardless, this is harrassment and I want it to stop.  I called them back and told them I would be informing my local police department and the FBI.

I just received a call a few minutes ago. The number was 347-426-2127.  I have received two other calls.  He has an accent, they keep calling on my cell phone and when I ask which company the name an American something, which I have never done business with and state I borrowed money and did not pay it back.  Which is bull.  I try to get as much information from them but the connection is very bad and they are hard to understand with the accent.  I figured it was some kind of scan.  If you call back you get an answering machine, which just states leave a message.  I did not leave a message but wanted to see if a company name was given.

I just started receiving calls from these same people.  They called my cell and my job.  They changed the number to 2817637911 and the names are Mary, David Black, and Lt. who knows.  I knew it was a scam because I had a similar situation before.  I decided to turn the tables and call their phone several times back to back.  They didnt like that.  I bet they stop calling my phone.  lol

I received this call twice and so did one of my friends. They kept harassing her on her job until she called authorities and found out they were SCAMS

I received a call on Friday from 281-763-0470 stating I owed $10,000.00 and if I didn't pay I would be arrested and hauled off to jail. My friend help me trace the call to Texas and they pose as a Law Firm called Baker McKenzie and there is alot of background noise with foreign people yelling in the background. I told them I didn't have a loan and asked for proof and they hung up on me. They are scam artists don't fall for it.!

I have been harrassed for the last week about not paying back a loan. They told me they where calling from cash advance than they said first america. I was told they where gonna take me into coustdy untill i go to court n i told them i was gone get an attorney they kept askin me why and hung up in my face. Called me from 281-763-0470 and said investigators were taken me into custody the following morning at 11:00 a.m. Sat.until court on Monday.

They told me that Cash Advance was suing me for not paying back a loan.  I have never received a loan from this company.  When I asked for some type of paper work or information they refused to assist me.  I hung up on them.  They stated that they were attorneys office for ACF and the number was 281-763-0470

I received the same call from them on today and they have been calling my phone on and off for about a year now. I have blocked their telephone number but because it changes frequently it is hard to keep up and this alone is frustrating. Usually I give them a piece of my mind and they usually hang up in my face but I think I will try another method and harass them by continuing to call over and over again. The number they called me from today was out of Houston, TX (281-763-0470). I pray no one falls for this scam and I hope this number helps.

Agree, it's just a scam. 20 to 25% of people who get payday loans don't repay their loans so these scammers buy lists of people who have received loans in the past and figure their threats will ring true with a percentage of the people they call. If you need a good payday loan go to todayadvance.com. I used them and it worked ok for me.

I got this call the other day...man was asking me about my lawyer..when I asked for what he said oh come on you are aware that we are suing you...I said how could I be if you are just now calling me...he wanted me to fax over a letter saying that I wanted to settle out of court to 2063387369..I told him send me proof of the debt and I will go from there.  The next morning I got a call from same person wanting to know why I did not fax the letter, I asked why I hadn't got proof of the debt, he then got upset told me he would just go ahead and send the sheriffs to my door with the court papers.  It is now a week later they have called me twice today on my cell and 1 time at my job, I ask what is this for the orig guy said again oh come on...your local authorities have not advised you of the details, my reply no so you tell me, he said I need to get you to my senior partner and he will explain, after holding sev minutes this senior partner says the same thing, we are going to sue you for payday loans you did not pay back, I asked from when he said Aug 2010..I told him there was no way that was me...he told me yes it is you and this is your social, he rambled on somethings I cannot understand, I asked him to slow down and can he go somewhere to talk with me that was not so much noise because with the language barrier it was already hard enough to hear him, he got upset..told me there was noone near him and that I had a bad line down here...I lol told him nooo and that the noise in the background was the issue, after that he got very upset told me I need to go to my courthouse and have them tell me what the case is about and be in court this friday.  At this point I think it is comical because I have never seen a company that has ALL OF MY INFO tell me I owe a debt but not be able to provide me proof of the debt...so we ended the call with him telling me he will just sue me, I told him ok.  THEY ARE SCAMMERS ...if they had a cut & dried case why would they keep calling, and where do they live that they think the sheriffs deliver court docs...we are in the city not a rural area.

I have been receiving harassing phone calls from this number and other numbers from people with heavy accents telling me there is a lawsuit which was filed against me and they want to collect before I am dragged to court from my doorstep. This is unbelievable I went to my local police station and filed a complaint. When they checked the three numbers that they have been calling from they told me they are a scam. I did file a complaint online with the FBI for the calls and I strongly suggest you all do the same. Maybe if we all do this something can be done.

I just received the same phone call. 4/4/11 10:14 a.m. A man with a strong Indian accent, he asked methe same questions, and if I knew about the law suit against me. I told him no, he then said oh my god and put me on hold. Another Man came on the phone he said his name was Mike Falk. He had a strong Indian accent. He told me that Cash Advance was filing a suit against me for failing to pay back a loan for 300.00. He sadi I could settle out of court, by faxing him a letter, and using my debit card to make a one time payment. I asked him when I received this loan and he said in 2010. I asked him when in 2010 and what account it went into. He sadi he could not give me that ibformation becasue it would hurt his clients case. I kept asking him questions, he became frustrated told me that he would send the authorities to my house and hung up on me. I called back and a woman name Stacy Wilson answered the phone, she also had a strong Indian accent. I told that I spoke with a man named Mike Falk. She sadi that she could help me with the matter. She told me the same things he did. I aksed how did I get a loan if I never signed any papers. She said that I didn't have to becasue I did it on line. I told her that I would still have to agree to the terms on line to get the loan. She then said that I could also go to the office and sign the papers. I told that you said I applied on line. She said that I was an evil creature and that she tried to help me, and I wouldn't take it. She then hung up on me.I tried to call back a couple of times. The phone rang twice then the call was dropped. Please if you get this call just please ask as many questions as you can, and do not agree to anything.

This same thing happened to me on 04/01/2011. I was informed that I was being sued for a title loan on my vehicle that I NEVER took out. The person had the last name of one of my friends and the mental anguish from thinking a friend took out a loan on my car has been extreme and caused me HUGE distress. The people that I talked to also sounded like they were from India and I had a very difficult time understanding anything. I DID, however, understand that they were going to sue me for $10,000 and my car isn't even worth that much so NO title loan place would loan that kind of money. They also threatened to come to my home with a Sheriff and had my actual address! The other number that I got from this is 510-214-8905. I did reverse number searches on these phone numbers and they both show up as landlines. The 281# is "supposedly a law office according to the "Michael" that I spoke with and they were representing ACF. I filed a report with my county and it is on record now. I hope those B---stards get the book thrown at them!!!!! I'm writing a letter to the AG's Office and everywhere else I can think of.  I was so upset, I was unable to focus at work and unable to sleep. This is not the end to MY investigation of these low lifes!

Wow....that Tracy Moore just called me, told me I was crazy and she was sending an ambulance to my house and having me admitted to a psych ward......ROFLMAO!!!!!   As I type this, she just called me back AGAIN and said "hello, do you know you are crazy"?......what the hell is this.  I did at least get her to tell me that the "law suit" was over a payday loan....I HAVE NEVER EVEN GOTTEN A PAYDAY LOAN.

I just got a call from a woman sounds like her name is Gruce Gray or something that sounds like that. I called the number that she called from back, and the number that she left back and got nothing. WTF! I haven't done anything! My husband is military and I have 2 babies. They're messing with the wrong person, I know to answer this number if/when they call again! Who do we report these people to! I was like I know I have a loan that's like 2 days over due but I didn't think that was serious enough for a complete file against me. lol

So is this something we need to worry about or go on and not think about it?

just got the same call from a Tracy Morgan telling me that if don't call her back I will have to pay $12000.00, so i called the number back and the phone just ranged several times; then someone by the name Staci Wilson (same voice on the voicemail) called back and asked if I just called? I said yes, I asked her what can I do for you, she ask for my name, then  said can I speak to Tracy, she is busy with another client, 'm her supervisor, so I said what can i do for you, and she replied "did tracy inform you of the case against you, I said nope, can you tell me? I will let my supervisor explain it to you, I was put on hold for about 2 minutes, then guy named Brian got on the phone, but before I would let him talk, I informed him that our conversation will be recorded and if that was alright, asked him twice before he replied with a yes. So he went on to explain the case to me, I informed him I don't know of this company name "CashAdvance" he replied that you have a loan with them and that he will have the cops to pick me up and taken to jail, so I said that I have 1 standing beside me "would you like to speak to him"? His reply was "HAVE A NICE DAY" and hung up.

3/28 at 11:11 am, A person with a strong Indian accent asked if he could speech with ** and I told him this was her.  He asked if I would verify last 4 digits of my social and place of work.  The information he gave me was correct.  He explained he was with law firm and was in the process of notifying me I had a subpoena coming to my home for a debit.  He then asked me if I could give him my lawyer?s name that was handling the lawsuit that has been put onto me.  At this point I had no idea what the gentleman was talking about and asked if he could give me a little more detail on who was suing me.  At this point he asked me if I was notified of a lawsuit that has been put against me and I replied with a no. the gentleman put me on hold and said he needed to speak with a supervisor.  Another strong accented Indian man came onto the line and asked how he can help me.  I stated that I was put on hold because someone was going to tell me what was going on.  The (supposed) supervisor stated that Cash Advance Pay date was suing me for a loan I didn?t satisfied.  He stated that Cash Advance Pay date tried to retrieve the funds from my account and that the transaction was declined.  To me this didn?t make any since, because if they put money into my account why couldn?t they take it out.  Also, I reviewed my records and do see me ever requested a loan from Cash Advance Pay date.  I ask the supervisor to give me more information and at that point he said he couldn?t, because it would hurt the case against his client.  At this point I told him I would call Cash Advance Pay date and find out what was going on.  When he could provide me with some proper documentation I would continue the conversation. I then hung up on him.

I just received a call from these people and I need to know who I can call to report them.

Bi*** named Lisa called me from this #.  Just like you all, she from law firm and she gave me same threats mentioned above.
She even quoted in the voicemail the last 4 digits of my ss#.  I can't wait to call her and act like I am terrified for a while then laugh at the dumb bi***.

I just noticed that I sent wrong phone number! The man called from 281 763 (not 764)- 0470.

I received the identical message today - 24 March - from 281-764-0470.
Not knowing what it was about, I returned call,nobody answered. Information told me that area code 281 is in Texas. Short of asking a Texas official to look into this number, I don't have any idea what to do. My number, which I have had all of six weeks, is unlisted. However, the voice sounds very similar to the voice of the man who called me six weeks ago at my original number and told me to get a lawyer because he was going to sue me for murdering his sister! I know, sounds crazy. He most certainly is crazy.

If you get info, pls post ,because we have had to report identity theft ,fraud alertts, checking acct info change and  debit cards all change, because they have all this information, and tell u this.they hve social the whole nine yards.So if there is someone working this we need info on this group of people....we have recorded several of these conversations, of them giving us our information....
