The scam he is pulling gets you to cash a cashiers check and send the funds to someone in Mexico.  He acted surprised to hear that the cashiers check was returned to the bank and stayed in contact with me.  When I found out that the check originated in Louisville, Kentucky, I called him and asked him where he was located, and he questioned my reason for asking. I asked him again and he hung up. Now the bank wants me to return the funds for cashing the check.  It's a mess.

Unfortunately i did not read this thread until it was too late. I spoke with him on tbe phone and stayed in contact with him until a cashiers check was returned to my bank and called him to question him as to where he was located, because the cashiers check was purchased in Louisville, Kentucky. He hung up the phone and hasn't answered since. DO NOT apply to that personal assistant job.

I got the same message and replied out of curosity. I was overnight a check for over $4,000.  This really made me wonder. Mr. Gentry finally called me and wanted me to cash the check and send money to someone else in mexico. I am calling the police.

I received the same email with the same number. Called the number but there is nothing professional about the message. Said person is claiming to be sending a cashiers check to me without even meeting me. Fishy. I responded requesting a live phone call. Not one call has been returned. Has anyone actually spoken with Mr. Gentry? Is anyone going to report said individual to Career Builder?

Got the same email, same name, "two weeks" move time even though the emails were five days apart.  This is a cashier's check scam, make no mistake.

This is a scam, the guy is supposedly  the owner of an IT consulting company that is moving down to in this case to Salt Lake Utah. I checked his so called website and found out that the website is registered in Atlanta GA and has only been around for a few months. On the website it says that the company has 15 years experience in IT. Checking further on the website, it seems to be a very basic website, with generic stock photos. Also didn't find much on the company on the web, which is kind of curious if it is a 15 year old company. Oh btw the company is called XIMUM  Consult. I also saw an ad on craigs list that was flagged out of Fort Myers, Fl.

This number came in an email as a response to a help wanted post on CareerBuilder.com for a personal assistant.  There is a website that was cited as an IT consulting firm in Ontario Canada which the individual David Gentry claims is relocating to the US in 2 weeks.
