This # showed up when my wife called from our home#. I did not realize this & tried to call back this # . recording states University of Maryland. This occurred 3 times

I just got a call from this number and they left a voicemail.  It was my pharmacy that is in my contacts.

After repeated calls from this number (did not answer), Googled the number. This number is from the University System of Maryland Foundation and following is a notice on their website. There is no date for this notice to indicate how long this has been going on.

The University System of Maryland Foundation is experiencing technical difficulties with our telephone line 301-445-1941. If you have received calls from this number claiming to be a telemarketing call, please be assured this call did not come from us. We are working with the telephone company to resolve the issue. In the meantime, please call 301-445-8040 until the problem is resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

Got a call from this number to my cell phone number, I didn't pick up and no message was left. The call was forwarded through a service that notifies me of calls, and the call notification was reported as "MD STATE GOV". According to online sources this is supposed to be a University of Maryland number (out of Adelphi, MD/UM Foundation Inc) but I have no idea if that's true. From what other people on this list are reporting, it might have been "hacked".

Called me from this number on my work cell phone and said he was from Microsoft and that the computer I was using had a virus and I needed to download a program to fix it that it was a new virus.  I shut him down immediately and hung up.  He tried calling back, but I refused to answer.

Caller ID showed Maryland State Government. No message

try answering it... i have called my mother 4 times this morning and 3 out of the 4 times this number is showing on her caller id and it is me calling... sprint has no idea why.

I get calls from this number routinely at a number that always goes directly to voicemail.  They never leave a message.  I've called to ask them to stop, to no avail.

I received a call on my cell showing this number but it was actually my wife calling from our home. Weird!

Got it today couple of times. It's strange since the area code (301) is used more in the Maryland region. Didn't pick up.

I got two calls from this number and when I answered both times, it Happen to be two completely different people already in my contacts.

This caller I'd showed up instead of the phone number of my brother -in-law who was placing the call.  Don't know how that's possible.

Got a call today at 6:33 pm and no response and when i call the number its not able to connect

Yes I got a call from this number and the caller ID said Maryland state Gov.
when I asked for some specific info he hung up.

Has been calling my cell repeatedly for 2 days.  Does not leave message

Called our home phone.  Caller ID says USN Offices.  Hung up before answering machine was finished.
