I just got a call from this number too.  If it is Direct TV, they can go to h***.  I changed from Dish to them, got zero service, couldn't get them to fix anything, and went back to Dish.  Now they want me to pay $20 per month for 14 months because I wasn't with them 2 years.  I never signed a contract with them to say I had to stay 2 years, and besides, I left because of poor product, bad service, and no repairs regarding my complaints.   I should charge THEM!

I too had issues w DirecTv knocking holes in my rental home walls & never fixing it, then trying to charge me $260 cancellation fee I never knew existed. So it may be collector for them, I just don't answer.

Direct TV chasing me down -- they can keep their overpriced service - I don't need to watch commercials and pay money every month to boot.  Switched to NETFLIX - better entertainment, you get to choose what you watch and it is REASONABLY PRICED.

I have gotten FOUR calls from this number in the past 24 hours on my cell phone. Like AH, It said hold the line for a rep from CDA. They never got far enough to tell me WHY they were calling. I just added them to my blocked number list on my cell phone so the phone never rings. Hahaha on them! They can try to call now till hell freezes over. If it IS directv trying to collect on our now closed account, good luck. It'd be like trying to get blood out of a turnip. We pay the CURRENT bills we owe FIRST. Anything else only get paid if theres money left over. Think I'll change my cell phone number.

Get calls from this number. Calling and asking for somebody thats not at this number. They do not introduce themselves, by name or company. which is actually against the law. Federal law says that a telemarketer or debt collection agency, must introduce themselfs by personal name and company calling from before doing anything else.

They call at any time of day or night but will not leave a message.  If they can't leave a message, they must not want to speak to me too badly.

I got a phone call from them to and they never want to tell you the reason why they are calling they need to verify some information first before they will even tell you who they are, ive gone thur directv for 2 years now, I missed a month of work and had to file FMLA papers I even called Directv and told them I was going to be late on my payment and the rep told me I would be fine on that but I would need to send one in ASAP well I did and they got about $200 from me and cut my tv off but its still alowing me to record my shows so hows that possible?? If and when they do call they never leave messages and then when you try to call them it rings busy so whats up is this a scam or what? I work in billing and collections and have been doing this for 7 years I know that you are supposed to leave a message regarding late payments or collections on all customers accounts so untill then I will not be doing anything about this account.

I don't know how many calls I got from this number....they have never left a message. It makes sense if it is from Direct TV....I had their service just for very few months...they never complied with their terms of promise made on the phone when I got their service. They are cheaters....and now they wanted to charge me an early termination fee. every body should be very careful getting service from Direct TV

I made payment arrangements with Direct TV and they still sent me to collections even though I was paying my payments

We had a contract with Direct TV because of Verizon.  When we found out Verizon fraudulently sold us DSL service (they aren't supposed to sell DSL if you are more than 8000 ft (I think that was the distance) from their company and we are 8500+ away) we cancelled our service with Verizon and went back to Comcast... Now Direct TV is trying to charge us the 400+ cancellation fee. lol What a joke! They will never see a penny from us! I always thought it was strange that they wanted a credit card number from us when we signed up for this package deal... Now I realize why! So they could charge it right to the credit card if it was cancelled!! Too bad for them we had to get a new card, so the number they had wasn't active when they tried to charge it after cancellation! We have actually met with an attorney over this matter!!

This number has called me 32 times since May 26th - ridiculous! I never answer and don't plan on it. I was never even a DirectTV customer likes other postings mention. Better safe than sorry - DON'T ANSWER.

This number keeps calling me as well. When I had to move out of state I call DirecTv and told them the apartment dosent allow dishes on the property.  They said I would not be charged the early termination fee.  Two months I get a bill for $400. Everyday I tri call them to straighten this out they refuse to send me to a supervisor and they say to either pay it or further action will be taken.

I get calls from this number and I never answer it, but from the looks of it everyone is saying it is from Direct-TV. My issue is I have never done anything with Direct-TV, therefore I don't know why they are calling me.

Constant calls from this phone number.  Initially attempted to ignore.  When the calls became annoying, attempted to respond and get the party to quit calling.  Got a machine each time.  Tried pushing "0" to speak with someone and get them to quit calling.  Went on hold for approximately five (5) minutes.  Got aggravated and hung up.  The phone number called back and put me on hold again.

Have had this phone number since the last two weeks in December, 2009.  Looked up the phone number on the "Net".  Found it belongs to Collection Agency who is illegally harassing me without cause.

Yes, it's DirecTV.  We started using DirecTV years ago when you had to purchase your own equipment and it was not leased.  Just had to purchase a new hd receiver a few months back when we had to purchase a new tv.  Bought the new dish also from a guy locally.  Our bill lapsed one month while I was taking care of my mother, so they cut off the service.  Now they are trying to bill me for the receiver that isn't theirs.  DirecTV refuses to listen to us when we tell them we BOUGHT the receiver at Best Buy, we did not lease it.  They even sent a return shipping box for the receiver.  They will NEVER get it.  Now, I have to contact Best Buy to get a copy of the sale (if I can't find my original), for proof that we bought the receiver out right.  They won't get a dime out of us for the receiver and they certainly wll NOT get it sent to them!

They called me and asked me if i was naked!  I told them I was a little old woman living on a pension and not to harass me, then they told me they liked naked old pensioner women that didn't wear clothes.  I told them I was a Christian and they ought to be ashamed of themselves.  They got the message and apologized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

i think that your right because my aunt has direct tv and maybe she hasnt been paying her bills and that guy/women called me 6 totol . yesturday possibly 2 in the morning and the last one during my cst test and the the last onewas when i was at home about 20 min ago and he or she left no message

Yes, we have been getting harrasing calls from these Direct tv people and we feel the same way, they will never get a dime out of us, they are crooks. End of subject......

Got a call from them this morning. I answered but no one was there. I wish I had seen this website first! It doesn't make sense for a collection agency to call me. I don't have any outstanding debt. I did have DirecTv, but I haven't had them since 2008. It's halfway through 2010....hello people, if I wanted to come back to your company, I would have already!

This number calls and calls, never leaves a voice mail, and no one is there when I've answered.  That would be harrassment.

Got the call and found out who they were.  I have been fighting with DirectTV for months now.  Spend hours on the phone with directtv asking to be transfer to somebody who has authority to make decisions and who could handle my situation...Was told nobody was available and that they would call back when somebody was available.  Never go the call back on the number I gave them but they continued to call my wifes work number.  NOW, they seem to finally call the correct number after hundreds of annoying calls to the wrong number.  I find out it's CBE who has no information, and no way to look up past call records to see what the situation is.  I was told they would put the call in "dispute" status but they would still call up to 3-4 times per day EVEN after I told them I better not get more than one call per month while it is being disputed.  Loosers!!! I am right, DirectTV is wrong, and they will NEVER get the money they say I owe.   F U DirectTV.

I signed up with Direct TV at an AT&T store.

About 6 months later I moved to an apt complex that does not allow anything to be mounted to the outside walls or on patio fences. The Direct TV guy said I could "probably get a pretty good signal". That's wasn't good enough for me. I want to get a good signal all of the time.

I got AT&T U-verse. When I called Direct TV to tell them they said I had to pay the early termination fee. (U-verse wasn't available at my old home.) I told them that I didn't switch to Cox. I went to AT&T. they are the same company. They said that they are separate.

Asked them why Direct TV is being sold in an AT&T store if they are separate. When I call them they answer the phone AT&T Direct TV. That implies that they are affiliated. I will NEVER pay this bill.

I've only gotten one phone call from this number, and I have been getting a different number 845-770-0061 which people claim is CBE as well. I NEVER ANSWER.
