Received call from this # twice today - last time was around 8pm.  Weird thing is I knew this was Maryland area code only because I spoke with my medical insurance co. today and they gave me their fax # which was 301 area code & address which was Maryland then about 5 minutes later, I got this call.  I actually missed the call the first time and was annoyed at first because I thought it was my insurance calling me back.  Did anyone else speak with a medical insurance co. today??

yup...I just got a call from that # telling that I had won a trip to Vegas, Californai, and I had one a $1,000 certinficate...I asked them if they were registered with the BBB, and she gave me like two diffrent names and a bull s**t web site..... She then proceded to tell me that for the price I had won I had to pay $120.00 in taxes....and asked me for my Credit Card # (NOTE: BEFORE SHE ASKED ME FOR MY CARD # SHE ASKED ME THE 3 NUMBERS THAT ARE ON THE BACK OF MY CARD SHE CLAIMED THAT IT WAS MY PRICE CALIM CODE)..  I began to ask her more question...such as the companies adress, she then got frustraded and hung up the phone....BE CAREFUL!!!

Same about 2 minutes ago... It was recording in Spanish. No idea who it is.

ANNOYING! That number just called me too.  I didn't answer, googled it, and this came up.  Thanks for the warning.

ANSWERED CALL AND WAS IN SPANISH.  CALLED NUMBER BACK ANDBER AND RECORDING IN ENGLISH GAVE OPTION TO REMOVE FROM SYSTEM WHICH I DID.

Didn't answer, not smart to call back to be taken off a list.

Decided not to answer this call to my cell phone.  Came here and see that I'm not the only one who received it.

got that call about an hour ago... wasn't around to answer it and no message was left.  weird.

I received the call a few minutes ago, all in another language.  I didn't listen long enough to know what language.  Next time I will look more closely at who is calling!

just got it... someone speaking spanish and some very loud background noise... made my night that much more random.

A quick google search showed the number comes from a locksmith in MD, but I think whoever is calling is spoofing the caller-id.

Don't know if the rumors are true, but I've read that some of these calls get forwarded out of the country when you call back. The rates are enormously inflated to $10-20 a minute and there's almost no way to fight it because YOU initiated the call. I have no idea that this is what is going on here, but thought I'd make everyone aware.
