It's a scam! They are trying to steal your bank acct information

Received following message on Sat, Feb 9, 2013, 11:25 AM

(SusquehannaFalleyFCU) Call: (302)223-4514.

I DO NOT even have an account with this Credit Union!!

I also received two texts from 717743 @vtext.com and 717222@vtext.com indicating they were regarding my debit card with Susquehanna Valley CU and that I should contact 302-223-4514.

I called that number and it said my debit card had been deactivated and to do something to reactivate.  I hung up.

You can also text back to any unwanted text the word STOP and send. It usually stops unwanted text.

Call Verizon and asked them to block text messages from your phone. Or if you have internet access , you can go to your account and block the number yourself. I hope this helps you.

Was notified by text to call the above number from 717743@vtext.com.  Did not Call.  I have pageplus cell service.

I have received two text messages asking me to call this number.

Received two texts from 302-223-4514 that said card limited with Susquehanna Valley FCU which I don't do business with.  Would say this is a scam!

I received unwanted misleading text about debit card. Two times it came on my cell.  Suggesting to call at number 302-223-4514. It is from 717743@vtext.com. Moreover, My carrier verizon will charge me $ 0.40 for this, as I dont have text receiving plan. What to do ?

Husband got two text messages from this number indicating it is from SusquehannaVFCU. Obviously fishing around until they get someone who really has a debit card from this real live company to input their card number.  Don't do it!!!!!

Both the wife and I got these text messages today from "UniveristyHealthFCU". Said " Contact 302-223-4514". I didn't call since I look the number up here first. I got on FCC.gov and filed a complaint form.

Same thing. It has texted me twice in the last two days, but it used University Hopsiptal's name also.  I also have a computer virus right now, so I am wondering if they are connected. I have something called 2570 help on my home computer, which is unplugged and removed from the net until service tomorrow.

I got a text message from "SusquehannaValleyFCU@At&t" I was to call this number. It was not familiar to me, so I deleted it.

Same here.  Got a sms message, "(UniversityHealthFCU) Contact: (302) 223-4514" I called, was told by a text-to-speech generator my debit card was deactivated and to press 1 to reactivate it.  I hung up.

My wife just received the same txt as I was typing this.

Received same text.  Shows what looks like the last 8 digits of a credit card number.  "4020-11XX".
Texted twice within 45 minutes.

Received text from this number.  A recording asks for your debit card number stating your debit card has been limited.  Obviously an attempt to steal debit card numbers.
