odds are they are doing it illegally and scared your employee into giving up their information. i received a summons from these turkeys...and thecourt had NOTHING on file regarding a hearing or summons for me.

I get lots of calls for "Kevin [some hispanic name]" all the time. It is always debt collectors like these guys. I told them to quit calling. Lets hope that they do.

Received a call from this company today. I do not have any unpaid debts, nor is there any other reason for them to be contacting me.

According to google, their office is very near my home and my place of work. I drive by it nearly every day in fact. If I continue to receive unsolicited and illegal calls, this office might receive a visit from me in person to notify them to cease their calls.

November 1, 2013, I just returned from court with Liberty Acquisitions, LLC. They served me with papers in June 2013 on a debt from 2005. Prior to being served I had never been contacted regarding this debt by the original creditor or otherwise. I contacted their office immediately and spoke with a representative. The Statute of Limitations is 6 years on a promissory note or contract in my state and the statute starts running on the date of first delinquency. I promptly told the representative that I was disputing the debt and that the statute had run out and therefore their lawsuit was frivolous. The representative tried to convince me that the contract renewal date was the date of last activity which would make the statute still active. In my opinion just like so many Debt Dealers out there they rely on your lack of knowledge to bilk you out of your money. Most people ignore the notices and wont file a response in court and that is exactly what they count on! You just made them easy money. They get a judgement and then they garnish your accounts etc! In my case I filed an answer to their complaint within 30 days of service and received a notice of pretrial. I contacted them one last time to inform them it was my intent to sue for violations of the FDCPA if they continued to pursue this matter, it seemed to land on deaf ears. However, to my surprise when I went to court today, no one seemed to have my file. When we finally located the Ryan Bolander, Esq., and his assistant I come to find out that they had filed a dismissal with the court on September 6, 2013 and closed out my file. Apparently it must have slipped their minds to contact me about it. Sadly, I wont be able to nail them with a lawsuit for violating the FDCPA, it would have been the easiest $1,000.00 I would have ever made. But the good thing is that someone in their office had a vision of clarity and decided to dismiss the lawsuit. PLEASE PEOPLE, DON'T LET THESE JERKS RAILROAD YOU! ANYTIME YOU ARE SERVED WITH PAPERS, ANSWER THE COMPLAINT! Most courts have Mediators or Pro Bono attorneys that will help you negotiate payments or under certain circumstance like in my case have it dismissed.

Exact same phone call. Now an employee I value very much is going to be embarrassed by this situation. I will find out the circumstances when I get the info from her. I am sure she has tried to work the situation out with them. She isn't the type to just screw someone over.

They are all anal sphincters. The staff won't let you speak to the attorneys, yet they try to charge for attorney expenses when an attorney isn't even involved - besides the attorneys are in-house. When trying to make a lump sum offer (very reasonable), they said absolutely no reductions or negotiations, EVER. The next day, I called again and spoke to another sphincter who said the amount was now doubled. The original debt was $400+ until they bought the paper from the creditor a couple of months ago (according to their own records) but now it was nearly $1000.00. Talk about doubling the price! Go to court, they really don't want to go before the judge if you show up, the lawyers will then negotiate with you to stay out of the court room. What they ask for is more than they deserve and that is illegal and they know it! The court is supposed to make a person whole. It 's not supposed to be a windfall for the debt collector. They have already profitted by buying the debt from the credit for pennies on the dollar. Everything else is gravy for them. If you talk to them and they won't take your offer, send it to them anyway (cashier's check) with a record of your having sent it to them (US Postal service certified mail, return receipt requested) and show up in court with your copy of the payment and the postal notice). If they have it in their hands on court day, they are going to look pretty foolish and will be wasting the court's time. Courts don't like that - they have bigger fish to fry.

I was in the construction industry and fell on hard times took a regular job and have been working at paying debts that I owe. I was served papers from a process server that was from liberty. I had called worked out a arrangement with them so it dident go to court. Paid the 2081.00 that they asked for as payment in full and they withdrew it twice from my bank account I have had to scramble so my house payment don't bounce. I contacted them and they said there was nothing that they can do I took it up with my bank they left me with a whole forty dollars in my account and I have to fight to get it back. I wish I woulda let them take me to court

I own a construction company and this number called me and asked to verify employment for one of my employees, I figured it was for a loan or apartment or something like that. After they verified everything they then told me to look for wage garnishment information regarding this person. Sucks for him, if I had known I might have ignored the phone call.
