I got a call telling me I needed to pay for my magazine subscriptions. Told them I didn't have any. Was told I did and I owed $250.00 or they would turn me into a collection agency. Then he asked for demographic information. I didn't give it. Rep said his name was Danyen. He got very rude. He told me the amount that would be submitted to collections was $2000.00. Told him I wanted paperwork showing I ordered magazines. I knew I had not ordered anything. I was then told he would charge the $250.00 to the card they had on file. I am trying to figure out why he needed my info if he already had it. SCAM!!! I am very irritated! I tried to call the number back. One time it said # was disconnected and the next I just got a busy signal. I reported them to the Do Not Call Registry. Please do the same if you get a call like mine. I will monitor credit cards to make sure no charges are made to them.

Blue, thanks for your post.  It was like reliving the call.  I was given the exact script that you wrote.  Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to ask for the credit card number they had on file.  I did get the name of Danyen as the rep.  He tried to get me to say I was recieving 4-5 mags.  I was furious by the end of the call.  I tried to call them back after I hung up only to get a message that the number was no longer working.  So frustrating!!!  I will be looking for any charges to my credit cards.  I filed a complaint on the National Do Not Call Registry.  Not sure if that will stop them, but I figured it couldn't hurt.  Thanks to all for sharing here!

I keep geting phone calls from this number and when I answer I get nothing. When I don't answer I get a voice mail stating that they are trying to collect a debt. What and/or how is this company or person that keeps bugging me.!!!!

I have been receiving calls for over 6 months from various numbers like this one.  This one was last night at 8:30pm.  They say that I am receiving magazines and want to verify demographic information in order to market more stuff to me.  They say that they have a credit card on file for me.  When I asked for the last four digits of the card, they were correct numbers for one of my cards.  I asked for a supervisor who told me that I would be charged $250 for cancellation.  I became a bit tearful and said that I never asked for the service, never ordered the magazines and could not understand why they were doing this to me.  Since every other time, the supervisor ended up hanging up on me during my explanation that I never signed up for the service, I requested that she not hang up until we had resolved the issue.  She hung up.  I contacted my credit card company and cancelled the card immediately.  No charges have shown up on the card as of yet, but I have gotten a few unrequested copies of Vogue.

Received a solicitation call at 9:46 p.m. well after the legal calling time.

This company has been informed not to call this number but continues to do so.
