Again?!  These guys harrassed  the living heck out of me about 6 months back calling back to back to back all day long at home and work.  When I would argue back and try and have fun with them, then the calls turned downright NASTY.  I had one 15 min call from "Mike Anderson" telling me all the things he'd do to me in graphic detail.  Finally I had to involve our Loss Prevention Department who changed my number.   The calls stopped until today.

They're back.  Apparently these guys lay low for a few months and then start back full force all at once again.   I see that now based on the dates of all the reports here.

My call today was from Officer Mark Williams of the State County Court in Colorado.  He was mad I hung up and said I had 10 mins to call him back before he called my Supervisor and got me fired. He listed off my cell number, SS# and company name.

Has anyone successfully thrown these guys a loop?  In other words, is there anything I can say or do to get them off my back?  They are obviously stupid and do not understand American law, but since you cannot talk logic to them, I need another way of dealing with them.  Anyone have any success stories?

This is crazy because I've had payday loans before and figured maybe something happen and I didn't pay one of them but the three that I deal with said that I don't have any outstanding balance with them. Another company told me that it sounds like fraud and I should contact my local police and file a complaint. Watch out before you put any personal information online, because some how these people got my information. The scary thing is they no my home address, social number, bank number, and even my mothers maiden name! And they want me to pay some bill that I DON'T HAVE...

Just the other night they called my cell phone 20 times! What collection company do you know that does that??? To hang up and call back again and again all in a row with no break or pause in between. I just loved that he called my cell phone because all I had to do is turn it off. I have blocked the number but then all they are going to do is call from another number. And the biggest problem for me is not just that they called my job, but they told my little boy when he answered the phone that I was going to be put in jail and get fired from my job and that he better tell me that they called. My son was scared! No collection agency, and I mean no collection company that I know in the united states or have dealt with in the past does that.

If I were any of you reading this I would start calling any cash loans or what ever that they say that they are collecting on behalf for and confirm if you owe money or not and then if you don't report the number to your local police. I don't know how, but they have got to be stopped. It's a shame their number can not be tracked.

A coworker of mine and I have been getting these calls for over the last year. I haven't received any in months, but they seem to call for a while, give up, wait a few months and go at it again. Of course, they use a different number every few days, so blocking their numbers don't work. Notice how all complaints on this number are very recent.

I get the same calls from the same middle eastern accented guy. Last time, he was officer Van Houston. Today, he was Officer Frank John. I've tried to explain to them that there is no such thing as a debtor's prison in the US, NOR can he call me from Colorado, leave a callback number for Cali and prosecute me in the state of Tennessee - doesn't work unless it's at a federal level, and if it was, they'd already be knocking on my door.

A local TV station did a report on these guys and the same guy that called me is the guy that cussed out the journalist. I hear Dateline is picking this story up.

Currently, each time we get a call, we log it and file a harassment claim with the police.

It's very embarrassing when these guys call your place of employment - which they do more often than calling my cell - and telling your coworkers who answer in the call center that you're under investigation and there's a warrant out for your arrest. Luckily, I work for a pretty laid back place that let me explain, but there's no stopping them from saying whatever they want to whomever they talk to.

Currently, our call center at work usually filters out these calls so they never make it to our desks. I've told them I've seen the news special, I've told them I know they're a scam. He's told ME that it doesn't matter if I file harassment claims because he'll never get found and that I shouldn't waste my time. He's admitted to me that it is a scam, but it doesn't keep them from calling and giving me the same spill every time.

Prank Call
These guys called me like 5-6x after the first time I would just put my phone on mute and listen to him and laugh as he would say hello? hello? hello? then hang up rotflmao!!! they wannna play scam games w/me I can play right back...... so then each time they'd call me I'd call them right back and put the phone on mute and listen to him again..... some foreign guy...... Telling me I was being sued for $300........ WTF he'd lose more money than he'd gain by suing me for $300...... I called so many times after that that whenever I called again it would ring about 2x then go to a busy signal like someone was on the phone.......

These guys are Crazy! They will call over and over, and if you hang up on them, they will call back and ask why you hung up on them...I think they are hilarious! Nonetheless, I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and with the Atttorney General, they will call and call, they even called my boss and left him a message in detail...
