They call asking to lower your rates on your Visa Card. I think they are phishing for your card number

It's a robo call. That number shows up when I do a callback *69. Cincinnati Bell says that it is not a valid number. I tried to do a reverse lookup and found nothing. The automated mesage goes something like this: This is Rachael at cardholder services and your credit is in danger. Press 1 to speak to a representative. Press 2 to be removed from the call list.
I pressed 2 and they never remove my number from their call list. I pressed 1 yesterday and spoke to a person. They refused to give me their company's name or telephone number. They hung up on me. That should tell you about the legitimacy of this company.
People all across the country are receiving these annoying calls. If you are on a "Do Not Call" list, file a complaint. Also call your states' Attorney General Consumer Affairs Department and file a complaint.
Many people are also receiving robo calls from an auto warranty company that will not give their name or number. I hear that it's a scam. The Federal Trade Commission is investigating "Voice Touch" and "Trans Continental Warranty".
These scammers have been making the national news. Chuck Schumer (New York politician) is aware of people being annoyed with these calls. File a complaint!

About lower your credit card interest rate, I try to report the number to the Do not call registry but it keep on teeling me that the number doesn't exist. No way out.

Rachael from card services, I pressed '9' and talked to a gentlemen. You need at least $5,000 in Credit Card debt to continue. I asked to be removed, he said I'd need to speak into a recording, give my phone # and a password, which was T-bag, a known euphemism for a sexual act. Wondering how to stop these annoying calls.

No, you can't block these calls any more than you can 'opt-out' of being mugged or burglarized; it doesn't work that way.
Yes, they are phishing for your credit card information for purely fraudulent purposes.
They already know that what they're doing is illegal; they already know that if they're caught they're in trouble; and they certainly already know better than to give you any identifying information.

I keep get calls from this number, but either no one is there or they start on a pitch about lowering interest rates.
