As seen above this is a magic jack number, owned by www.ymaxcorp.com. Convenient that there is no contact info other than a PO box. Report any abuse from this number to you phone company. If you are unable to get results here file a complaint with the Florida PUC. The telco is REQUIRED to answer PUC complaints or risk their licensing.

Having lived there a number of years, I never found the people incredibly bright. My wife used to joke about the sun making their brains soft.

305-897-3785 called me 3 times yesterday all within a 4 hr period.......then 1107am today. Caller ID says Keys , Fla. I googled the number (as I do all 855 area codes and any from out of state I don't recognize) and find this web page and others. When I see others having problems with the same caller ID numbers from these RoBo telemarketer calls I wait for the next call from them. When they call I pick up but don't say anything and hang up my phone after blowig an air horn into the mic. Don't know if it will stop the calls but it sure is fun for an unemployed person on a rainy day. HaHa. Walmart also sells a phone you can buy that will block calls at your discretion but the air horn is more fun and cheaper.
My next step will be to stop buying on the internet as when you do you always have to list your phone number .............in case we have a problem with your order they claim....they have your e-mail and that is how you are ordering but they need your phone number???? This is one way how your number gets on the lists.
Wonder if changing to Vonnage will keep my number out of the hands of these A--holes. I think they have call block...................

This number calls me several times a day and will not say who they are. They do however have my name because one time I answered and all they said was my name and then Hung Up. what the heck? How do I get off the list of this company. I have completed my education and do not need anything else.

This # has called my cell 4 times in the last 3 days. Different times of day. I don't live in Fl., I don't know anyone in Fl., I have an Android, and I am on DNC list. Is there a way to block this #?

Called two days in a row at exactly 9:00 AM each day. I assume an automatic computer program of numbers dialed, where actual operators will pick if you answer. A program used for some marketing or collection scheme. No messages left on my answering machine, therefore not a valid reason for calling your number.

Same problem, many telemarketing calls all within the same time frame, but all from different numbers (including one from the above number). Very upsetting. Am on the do not call list, and have been reporting them. https://www.donotcall.gov
I just with it would stop.
| Paul 2012-08-22 03:03:03 Unknown |
They are just despicable sewer rat scum. They are criminals and it's best just to ignore the calls. If they were in my town I would smash them with a baseball bat. What goes around comes around and they'll rot in hell!

I received a call from this number today. I used to live in Key West, so a call from a 305 number was not out of the norm. But they hung up, called again, hung up again. I want to be taken off this call list!

It seems in the last couple days I also have been receiving an enormous amount of telemarketing calls including the 305-897-3785 and I'm just trying to figure out what the link is. I don't need any loans, or need to return to school and I never give out my cell number so I'm now wondering if it might have something to do with owning a Blackberry. Thoughts?

Got a call from 305-897-3785. Caller ID said Marathon, FL. Didn't answer the first call. Five minutes later, a second call arrived (both on my cell phone). No messages left. After the second call, an unknown woman answered. Refused to give a name. I asked for a supervisonr or manager. They were all in a meeting (go figure). She hung up on me.
I called back again and got another female, who identified herself as Education Resource Center. She would not give a first or last name, but was very pleasant, so I played along. She's "heard" that I want to continue my education (two BS and two MA/MS to my name) and she'd like someone to call me. Someone from LakeView or LakeWood (she changed names several times) will contact me soon to arrange for me to attend at home Masters classes.
The first troll I heard from responded (who refused to give a name, and then hung up on me), when asked about the 305 area code and how the weather was in Marathon, FL, (knowing the Keys as a very regular visitor and a home owner on Key Largo), told me that she was in West Palm Beach. When I suggested that West Balm Beach and Marathon are several hundred miles apart and don't share an area code, she killed the call.
I'd say beware, but this outfit is so utter unprofessional, employing such dolts, that just about anyone that has the brain power to order a phone line would understand the scam.
My only concern is that they've apparently purchased a cell phone list, as the first two calls arrived on my Blackberry.
Be aware, be cautious, be ready to take notes, and be VERY ready to contact the Florida Department of Consumer Affairs, run by Adam Putman.
