Left message on my phone about he felt sorry for me if I didn't return this call & good luck Middle Eastern accent; Edgar one time and then his name was Martin Jackson.  The return number that he left on my answering machine was (323) 317-9726. The number he gave me to call was (408) 215-3856 and the supervisor's name was Shaun Bias.    The company he claim was for Soniccash.net but could not tell me how much I owe or anything.

Okay so I had a call from a 909 area code, a man that spoke VERY little english that was reading a script asked my name and said I needed to hold the line so that he could transfer me to the attorney in charge of my case. An Indian guy got on the phone and said I needed to give him my attorney's information as I was being served with a subpoena tomorrow by 5:30...I wasn't buying what he was selling, so I asked what this was regarding he said an online payday loan that I never repaid, I asked what the name of the company was, he said Insta Cash, I said I had never heard of that and he said there are over 400 payday loan companies with different names under this group...I said "If I owe you money you should be able to tell me the name of the company I so called did business with, you also should be able to tell me the date of this transaction and should be able to fax me documtentaion backing it up" he of course got defensive and said he didn't have to do anything like that and started calling me names...I told him "you picked the wrong victim, I am not stupid and I know the laws and by lay you can't call me any names, you can't threaten me with anything and if this was in fact legit you would have proof to share with me...you have nothing"  I asked for his phone number and he stumbled and gave me 310-405-6198 he said his name was Attorney Jim Freeman with Davenport Law Firm...but the first guy that "transfered me" said they were with the Federal dept. of Financial claims"...as if they were so official.  Anyway after he realized I wasn't buying it he started really stumbling and just screaming at me and telling me "good luck" and then hung up...I would tell all of you to report this to the FBI they need to know. Groups from around the world try these scams and it's amazing how much money they make off of scared people.  They get phone numbers int he US but are really in other countries, they get our SS# from various ways (which is scary) they will threaten until you break and then if you give in and ask to just pay, they give you an account to wire the funds to....at that point there is no way to  get your money back.  So please if you want to catch these crooks file a claim with the FBI as I am.

I got a call today forma middle eastern man telling me he worked for a company called Monitary Crime, a law firm.  I told him I coudn't understand him and there was so much back ground noise of other people on the phone I couldn't hear him.  I ended up ending the call and moments later a middle eastern woman called me.  Her english was alittle better.  She also claimed to work for a law firm representing something call Cash Net.  I have no idea who that is.  At any rate, she told me I will be arrested Monday morning.  She didn't actually ask for cash but made it clear I owed someone some money.  I told her I was ending the conversation and not to call me again.  Her reply was "go to hell".
I looked up Cash Net online and ended up contact a technology company.  The nice person there told me she calls like this all the time from people all the time looking for Cash Net.  She reffered me to Sonic Cash.net and thats how I got here.
I see most of the comments on here are from 2008.  If there are newer ones I haven't seen them.  If they backed off for a while, they're back!

I had the same call yesterday on the same 909 number.  Since I did not bother with them yesterday they proceed to call my cell number about 40 times last night threating harm to me.  I changed my number this morning, but then they call again my house this morning from 706-651-1117 since I told off the crazy man on 909-723-5114.  This time the guy actually knew my SS number and family member names.  The only loans I had taken out were Sallie Mae...I hope they did not hack into their system or something.  I filed a complaint with the FTC, FBI, and NY State Attorney General.  This is absoluately insane.

oh no The number that called me was 909-723-5114 california stated they were from soniccash.net called my job and told them I was being arrested that I was being convicted of crime. WHATT. I was pissed . I called them and they said I owed them money and that if I didn't pay it they were having me arrested for a federal crime. So I said Okay Blow me I don't know who you are and I don't owe you any money so I called the attorney general office and the FTC to report this. They called my house like 5o times in 4 hours. So I called the police. They did a report. Now i have to send a certified letter that if they call again i will file a civil suit against them. Thats if its the right address. I got 1122 Chula Vista Irvine California, 92602 but then i just read a difernet address on line that somebody got. We'll see. THen to top it off the MF sounded like he was in India. suzie

I just got a call from the middle eastern man. Didnt ask for money but said good luck and I will be picked up at 11 on monday.  And needed to pay 5,000 when I get to court.  I got scared and nervous becasue I dont even remember this palce.  I looked it up online and there is no number to call.  This crap

I got the same call from a middle eastern man at 408-215-3856. Has anyone recieved a call from this number?  He did the same thing, mentioned sonic cash net, and that I would be arrested tomorrow if I did not pay him today $895.  I asked him what loan he is talking about and he mentioned a date in 2003 which I never took a loan then to my recollection.  This scam has to be stopped and how he got my name, address and number is scary.  They need to be reported.

I also got a phone call from a similar company & today.  How do you handle something of this nature.  who do you call

I had some1 call me this morning from 310-747-3307 and they are the same people who have called in the past but from a different number, when they called they gave me a SSS # that was not even mine!  they wanted to wishe me good luck as the situation unfolds, his name was Carl Johnson but he wouldn't tell me the name of his Company either, he was middle eastern sounding w/the name "Carl Johnson" are u serious.  How can this be stopped, any suggestions? They are calling me at work too!

Same thing happened today scared me and my husband we have never had a payday loan said well your court date is tomorrow and you need to have your att call us my husband said this is crazy also a middle eastern man.the also stated sonic cash net Thank you all so much we will be able to sleep tonight

Some how they are obtaining the info we sent when we applied at these paday loan places because they have the exact info I gave on the loan they had all my info as well. It has to be that someone stole it from the payday place or it's an employee from ome of these sites.

I also got a call last week 8/14 telling me I owe US National Bank 1500. that they deposit into my account they had my bank namem acct. # and last 4 digits of my ss# wanted to also convince me to settle the debt by making the paymen in full if not I was going to be arrested the next day at my job.

This man called and left a message from 3104056199 talkin bout i had got a loan from usa national bank which i google couldnt find it and i didnt pay them back and im only 16 and he had my ss# and my bank acct number how werid is that??? then he metion my email address and then said i had applied for the loan in november which is a lie cause i didnt even have that email in november nor the account so that made me wonder is this a scam??? come to find out it is and thank goodness it is had me going crazy thinkin ima spend the next ten years of my life in jail

same thing as all you guys have stated above, he was calling my husband and work and threatening his supervisors which got my husband in trouble and aslo used the same name soniccash.net which we had never even heard of this is a complete scam!!! these people need to be stopped its the same guy he was a middle eastern guy making threats about taking my husband to jail and warrants, etc. don't send this guy any money and we all need to stick together and report him I know most don't have the time to mess with it like me but please take the time and report him they need to be stopped.

Same thing happened to me today. He called my home and cell # and left threatening voice mail messages. It sounds like the same middle eastern man! I am glad to know it is a scam. I couldn't think if ANYTHING I could have done to warrant an attorney as he suggested.

The same thing just happened to me.  I work for the government so I would be fired if I was charged with a felony.  I got all upset and called a bunch of attorneys.  They all told me that this was a scam but I really didn't believe them until I came on here.  My thing is though, the Middle Eastern man never asked me for any money.  Just told me to have my attorney contact them by 5:30 today.  And that people were going to escort me to court tomorrow at 11:00. I have called couple of times and actually got someone but I just tried to call again and it is just ringning and ringing.  THe account that they are saying the money went into was not even opened until four months after the supposed loan!!!  I just wannted to let everyone know that this post has made me a lot better, thanks for sharing your experiences.

This place called my Sister a couple of hours ago at work and told her that she had committed fraud and that she was going to be arrested tomorrow at her place of employment if she didn't come up with 60% of what she owed them which according to Sam Jones was 1400! My Sister has taken out payday loans but not from this place. She had only taken out one and that was 2 years ago. They also gave her the name of their website soniccash.net  which I checked out and there is no contact info. It looks and is a total scam. People are giving these idiots money that they don't owe! He is rude and yells at people on the phone to scare them and tells them they are going to be arrested and he had all sorts of info about my Sister, her S.S.# and bank account, work address number and email.
It's really crazy, how are they getting away with this. Can we do anything about it? It seems that they are targeting young people that are having financial difficulties....I found some info on the internet by just typing in this number and the same thing that happened to my Sis is happening to others.

Not sure if you can block it but they just called my friend at work and said she was going to get arrested tomorrow. These people need to be reported. This is a major scam.

I got a threating phone call from this company yesterday and it scared the crap out of me.  Does anyone know if you can block their number on a cell phone?

I also had someone call me from this number and threated me. They even told me the name of a company that is suing me and i contacted that company and they told me that they dont have an account with me.  They also told me that they have had several people contacting them telling them the same thing and they are assuring me that it is a scam and not to give them any money.  also i was supposedto call them back to day at 930 and now the phone just rings and rings

Complete scam tried to convince me to settle a legal matter with an over the phone payment. The legal matter has never exsisted. I have contacted the fraud department at my bank,BBB,police. MIddle eastern sounding man that annoyed the s*** out of me with returned phone calls and phone messages!!!
