Starting to receive the same email from Scott Peters now...it's in my "spam" but still irritating to get these because you have to look to make sure all your "spam" is actually "spam!"

In my case, the name attached to the email was Scott Peters. And if you look up this company's supposed address, you'll find that it's a 'virtual' office, that can be rented for $85/month: http://www.davincivirtual.com/loc/us/californ ... es/facility-618

The supposed list of jobs on their website is nothing more than a listings feed from Indeed.com.

I got a phone call from this guy Robert Murphy, called him back immediately because the number wasn't masked, & got a disconnection message from the phone company, so he's using some sort of gimmick like Sly-Dial to call people & go directly to their voicemail. Supposedly Duke Search is an employment agency/recruitment agency, but I've never gotten any phone calls from them other than the initial one. Legitimate agencies assign someone to you who keeps in contact on a regular basis.

When you go online to search for him, there's very little information available, plus they are completely non-responsive to any phone calls, e-mails, or voicemails. Now I get spammed by him & others in his company through some e-mail marketing firm Net Atlantic, because the e-mails come through that site. All I get from this one is e-mails with links that I have no intention of clicking on because they're routed through that website, & I don't want to give them the idea that my e-mail is nothing more than a dead-end cul-de-sac.

It smells extremely fishy, I think all he really does is scam & spam people, scooping up their e-mail addresses for his marketing website, & re-sells them to other marketers/spammers. One of these days I'm going to go over to his address on Wilshire in BH to see if it's a real office or not, supposedly it's in the building next to Kate Mantilini's which I've been to several times, so I should be able to determine whether it's a shell address or not. I think he uses it to give his company the veneer of respectability, but it's still pretty recognizable as a scam.

I received the same message that everyone else has been getting, from Bob Murphy. It looks like it's probably a scam. I replied with a few questions about the company and within seconds received an auto response that implied that he will answer my questions after I register.

Don't let the executive office thing put you off - that just means it's tiny space that isn't a full office setting. It's normal for people to use executive offices when just starting a business. What concerns me more is the roving IP, the Canadian domain registry, the lack of a registered corporation in california for Duke Search, and the auto answer.

Accorsing to his linkedIn profile, Bob has worked in recruiting before at Robert Half, a reputable firm. Perhaps someone could bite the bullet and fact-check?

Has anyone tried actually calling the 310 number?

I received this message a few minutes ago and the job it has listed as my last job was several years ago.

Always best to research prior to just jumping in. That is how I saw of your messages written above.

After doing my research on the IP address it is coming from: 66.170.6.5, which is close to Madison, WI and not CA.

Smells fishy to me.

I got the same message. I was about to reply but my intuition told me to check on the company since I had not applied.   That's how I found this website.

Received the same email. In this day and economy, you have to be a clear low life to joke with people who are searching very hard to find work.

I just got it too. I asked where they got my info, I didn't send my number. People are whacked, pretending a job opportunity, as a ploy. Yuck. Smh.

I received the below email in my spam folder...it appears to be some sort of scam as there is no such company at this location. The building is Executive Suites for rent.
