This number will not stop calling my husband's cell phone.  Every time they call he tells them to stop calling him, and then just a few hours later they call again.  The last time they called my husband said that he was not interested in anything they had to offer; the caller on the other end told him thatthis  was not a good reason for not accepting the offer!!! They continue to call us every day.  We don't know what to do about this, and our phone company won't help!!

Unfortunaltely even the "do not call" registry works.. some try to use the "we're not telemarketers therefore the registry does not apply" routine. My stance at that time was smile, giggle a little and tell them that I'll make sure the US Federal Gov't is made aware of the tape recorded message I have that has that statement from them on it. Imediate hang up occurs.

I have now started answering my phone with .. "Hello, please be advise that this call may be recorded for training purposes or possible future court proceedings." The responce I get is imediate hang up and after two days no more calls from THAT company. I've gotten my harassing phone calls down to a minimum of 1 per month.

Good luck to all.

Thanks Brad for sharing.  I will certainly give it a try.  I haven't answered any of their annoying/persistant calls and of course a message is never left on my phone.  What baffles me is when I got this cell phone (under 2 years ago) I immediately registered it with "donotcall.gov" hoping to finally have a harassment free phone line.

I'll be back to share any positive results ... the ability to unite with others regarding such awful businesses/companies should give us all hope to some day make this "one" problem history.

Peace to all and Happy New Year

Same as everybody else- Indian guy calls says I've won a $200 gift card for being a great credit card customer.  All I have to do is give him my current credit card number so that he can charge me a $2.90 shipping charge. Right there, you should realize this is a scam and if you gave up your card number, you need to seriously reevaluate your deductive reasoning skills.
So, you want them to leave you alone-- I've taken the give it back to them stance.  I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible.  Put them on hold while I'm doing chores or just keep giving them bogus information.  So far I've kept one on for 10 minutes by just responding by saying "What!! No way!"  Today, I kept one on for almost 20 minutes before he realized I was screwing with him, he got pissed and hung up.
This tactic serves three purposes: First, it gives me a really good laugh and who doesn't want to laugh in a telemarketers face and frustrate them). Second, it's less time they can call and bother someone else. Finally, it increases the companies cost per call, if we can all keep each rep on the line 10-15 minutes, the companies cost per call will increase dramatically making it less financially feasible for them to continue their ridiculous tactics.
Good luck- Have fun with them, tell them you will call them "Alex Smith" if they will call you Mujabadeen Imabadlad.

I used tp get these calls 4-5 times as day. Each time i would google the number to find out who owned it. Now, that I know they are not friends or honest business people, once I recognize the number, I answer the phone and then hang up. I don't talk to them. If you do this quickly enough, it makes your number appear to be a non valid number. Caller ID sure helps.

When they called, I immediately asked to be removed from their calling list. He responded, "Why." I repeated myself and he then said, "No." I immediately hung up after that.

Listen, I have had the same experience as all of you in this matter with this company...scamming company at that.  Every day for months, 5-10 times a day, hang ups, speeches, rudeness, lying, all of it. Until "finally", just yesterday, it stopped.
This is what I did two days ago; Answer the phone in a "cheerie" voice, don't interrupt, and speak in an upbeat manner, "I would love to participate, but could I please speak to a supervisor first?"  * Be nice and upbeat about it *
They will then, (usually) hand you off to a supervisor, and that is when, in a firm, but polite manner, inform them of the repeated calls and rudeness. Then plead with him/her to take you off the call list. Something like,"Please, could you please do me a favor and take me off your call list. I would really appreciate it. I'm not interested and you're wasting both of our time."  Remember, 'be nice'.  I know you want them to stay on the phone long enough for you to tell them off and where to go, but we've all probably already tried that, and it didn't work.  So suck it up and "wuss" it over the phone.
The supervisor informed me that I will not be called again.  I asked for reasurement, "Are you sure? Because I don't want to be called again.  Please, just do me this favor."
He said, "We will not call you again."
I continued to "wuss" it by saying, "Thank you very much 'sir', that is all I've wanted, thank you very much."  Then I hung up, and thought to myself, "I doubt that worked."  But to my avail, after getting 5-10 calls from them 'every' day, yesterday, not one.  Today, 12:30 pm., not one.  And they normally started around 8 am.
Another thing you can do that will work guaranteed, is this...
About a week ago I investigated the number and found this and several other sites with the same number problem.  I also dug and found the company that provides the, let's call them "foreigners" with their call system and number.
I called this company, and left a "detailed" message and call back number.
Just 1/2 hour ago, I received a call back, which is what prompted me to come here and try to help everyone else with this problem that seems like it will never go away.  The call came from yet 'another' company that was forwarded my message.  It seems there are three 'tiers' of business here, and "finally" I was in contact with the top dog.  The guys name was Dave, and he seems like a nice enough guy.  He informed me that he is familiar with the abuse of the fcc regulations that this number is accused of.  Although they only "supply" the "foreigners" with their number, Dave gave me the impression that they also "oversee" the operation, or at least any negative ongoings.  I informed Dave of what was going on, and he was actually surprised to hear of my success in thwarting the calls.  He also assured me that he will 'make sure' that they never call me again.  Now I don't want to "look a gift horse in the mouth" but I know how frustrating it is day after day, to have these liars call your house...(Arabs named John? Rob?)  Yeah right.
So you can skip the week wait for a call back, (If my first answer to the problem doesn't work for you) here is the DIRECT number to solve your problem;
It's an Oregon number, 503-223-1719.  That goes straight to Dave's phone. But remember, please be polite, because if you bombard him with irritating calls all day, it will ruin it for everyone else, and it won't work anymore
Please try my first solution first. It works, and it works faster.  That was the last call I received from them, and Dave told me it would take his process up to a week.
Any other harassing calls?  888-382-1222 is the International Do Not Call List Organization.  Register with these people for free, and in 31 days, any number you don't want to be called by will never call you again.
I posted this on Dec. 11, 2008.  After trying this, please come back and post your results.

they started calling me 2 times a month, now this month, i got tired of them calling my cellphone,  so i started hanging up on them,  now the calls has gotten worse since the day i hung up on them.  the calls are now dec 4 2:32pm, 6:02pm, dec 5 8:22am,10:24am,12:27pm, seems to be every 2 hours constant in a 24 hour time period.  this is getting aggravating. is there anything we can do to stop the calls? when i do answer they tell me my cellphone number has won me a $300.00 gas card free to me BUT must pay a shipping and handling charges when i recieve the card in the mail. but after saying that they want to verify that i am who i am by validating it thru my master or visa credit card.  that is when i hung up and yes they are persistant, when i tell them im not interested they ask why, and then proceed more about the gas card.  BUT of course i have had many calls from them,  the story changes its either my mastercard or my visa card or my email or my cellphone that has won me the gas card.  now to  me that is very odd and strange so anyone out there i would not give your card number out, the story keeps changing on me, and there really wanting your card information.

I received the first call on 6/16/09 from a very american sounding girl who informed me that I had won $200 in gas vouchers.  She then said that I had won them in some sort of contest that I was automatically entered when I used my debit card, which get this!!!!! They had my card information and address already!!!!!!!!  How the heck do they know my card #?????  I then asked and she said that the info was passed on if I had shopped at a wal-mart, or target or somethin.  When I asked what the catch was, she didn't hesitate to tell me that I would have to "help" with the shipping of the vouchers for a "one time" (yeah right!) fee of $3.99 and then I would also be signed up for some savers program that is free for 30 days then cost $24.95 a month which I can "cancel" at any time.  To me it seems like some scam to get you to be signed up for some sort of monthly money scam, but they already had my debit card information so I would think that if they wanted to charge it they could but I think they need a verbal ok.  I told her that I didn't have any money on the account/card and she was like "Oh that's ok we can put a  24 hr hold on the process" so I could go put money on the card and then they could bill me!  I would def be aware of these callers.  I know that speaking for myself (and I'm not prejudice in any way) but if the caller was Indian as some have stated above I probably wouldn't have been tempted in any way since I've had some really bad experiences with some of the calling companies from that area, but this girl was very friendly upfront and yep you guessed it "helpful" she made it seem legit, I'm sure she's got the record for sign ups and is in the lead to get that trip to Mexico!!  Just be careful out there everyone and don't fall for their BS!!!  Thanks

Feb. 13, 2009 three calls recieved (5:21pm, 7:05pm, 8:01pm)and we didn't answer.
Feb. 16th 2009, 8:20 am a pushy asian/indian caller offering walmart gift cards calls.  I request to be placed on no call list and refused the offer.
At 9:50am Feb. 16, 2009, repeat call, again request to be placed on no call list and hung up.
At 11:38am Feb. 16, 2009, same day a repeat call.  Ten seconds of silence and then into the sales pitch the caller began.  I listened for a minute while the caller attempted to pronounce my street address.  I reminded the caller I requested to be place on the no call list and I am going to report the to the local police, BBB, and MO Attorny General.  I inquired about their city of buisness location, and the caller stated Pheonix AZ.  I than asked for a supervisor and they told me they cannot do that.  I asked again and they hung up.

I, too, received a call from this number around 8:15 in the morning.  It was very obvious to me that the caller was very focused on getting my personal information, almost putting me in demand of my own information.  Why would it offend someone who can't get information about you? These are very obvious behaviors of people or companies who are up to NOTHING good  . . . . . BE AWARE AND USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. Learn to be more observant and less vunerable and desperate, even in these hard times. And spread the word to a friend!

Rose thick accented Indian/Asian representing Financial Educatin of America offering $200 Walmart care 1/2 to used in store and 1/2 on gas.  So very convenient that there's a Walmart near everyone.  Gave gift card confirmation number of CZ12018.  After I refused offer she called back 3 times within 30 minutes.  I finally got rude and told her I would hunt her down and make sure she felt the pain.

310-599-9186   They started calling my daughter's cell phone yesterday and have harrased her 10 times since then. They know her address and other personel information. (Very concerned about that) They tell her she has won a $300 gas card and they need information about her credit card to send it to her. Being a retired investigator, my kids learned from "Pops" and are streetsmart. She did not fall for their hype. Who doesn't need $300 dollars in free gas these days. I followed up on the phone number and found it connected to the following:

     Telephone Management Corporation
     Telephone Management Building
     2331 SW 5th Ave
     Portland, OR  97201
     US
     503-223-7747

There is 16 pages of information, on this site, about the above number also.

The company has 12 websites connected to it's name with multiple contact names but the number is the same.

Hope they call me someday. I had been dealing with scumbags praying on innocent people all my carreer. It would be just like old times...

From the discription of the accents in previous posts and from what my daughter has told me, it appears that they are outsourcing the boiler room telemarketing duties to a foreign country. My concern is that the information they gather can be used in other identity scams. Don't U.S. citizens have enough to worry about financially here at home. Maybe the FBI should look into this group!

I live on the east coast and these people call me first thing in the morning from CA.  First off, dont they know anything about the time difference?????????  Secondly, it is maddening that these people want my money.  I am a full time student, going to school on the montgomery GI bill.  I served my country honorably and now I am trying to better myself and finish my degree and all these scamming jerks want my money, which I worked very hard for.  I know these people have a job to do, but aren't there any jobs out there where you dont have to harass people first thing in the morning or at any other inconvenient times????????

After receiving numerous calls from this same number, my wife picked up the phone and spoke with someone who identified himself with FEA, Financial Education of America.  The person spoke with a heavy Indian accent and proclaimed himself from Phoenix, Arizona.  This person said that my wife had won a $100 gift card (the amount changes later during further conversations) to a local gas station.

After the conversation seemed to be heading to an area where a great deal of information was being asked for, I demanded to speak to this person.  This person spoke with such a heavy Indian accent (and I do believe I am quite accurate in this portrayal of the accent) that I refused to speak any further unless I could speak with someone who spoke English.  A bare few seconds passed when another call came in from a self-identified "supervisor" called Sam, again with an Indian accent.

She repeated that my wife had won a gift card of $200 (note the change).  She gave a verification code and an employee number.  She then said that she was going to give another identification code, without which the card would not function (the hook).  In order to get the code, we had to give up our credit card number and month of expiration.

Riiiiiiiiiiight.

To say the least, I was extremely suspicious of the entire conversation.  This only confirmed it.  I informed the person on the other end that our conversation was now over.  I hung up.

Do not answer the phone when these individuals call.  Protect yourselves and do not hand out any personal information on the phone.

Next day the same 6 times they call nottin.
On the fourth day they call me like 3 times and I called back and I got a recording saying somethin like "this is a business call and if they had reach me by mistake and wanted my number to be deleted from their system to press 1" I did and still 2 weeks later someone still calls me and no message no one is there and same recordin. I though their was a law that prohibited this type of callin...

After many calls, I finally answered. Heavily accented man said I won a $100 Walmart card and a $100 gas card. He asked me several questions and then said I they needed my expiration date on my card. I made one up and he was happy. He said it would cost $3.99 for shipping and handling. I told him I would gladly pay in cash. He insisted on my card number. I told him if I really won something they could easily send it to me as they had my name and address. They have called numberous times over the past 2 weeks. I have informed them I will file a police report if they keep calling. I still have not received my free cards. Imagine that.
