Called me I added them to my long call block list don't trust scammers

Got call twice in 30 minutes wanting to confirm my address. Told them I was on computer looking where they are calling people about fraud. Told them first time go to HE--. Next time told them to kiss my  GRITS!!. Am blocking their call..

They are also trying to get $735 from me for some sort of fraud. They told me that I had to get a debit card and pay with in a half an hour or someone would arrest me and I would have to pay $15,000. They said I took out a payday loan from Midland Marketing. I never took a payday loan from this company. Do not give these people any money. They are a scam!!!!

This guy called and said I am being charged with internet fraud.

Same thing has happened to me...I am going to file with credit bureaus and police..scary how they get your information...Sounds like a broken record on here...Scary!! Anybody have any updated info????

Exact same thing happened to me!! I was in tears!!!  This message board saved me from a lotttt of trouble with this guy.  I kept saying I couldn't understand him and if he is going to accuse me of fraud he better put someone on the phone who I could understand.  He said "I'll call you back."

they called me as well stating all this legal stuff and the attorney general was going to get me when they file court documents by computer. also they had all my info as well. they kept asking if i could resolve this and i stated no money, he said ask your friends or church, it would be cheaper to pay 630 then 10000 of legal and fine cost. when i went online to check the number, it comes to some in los angles as a cell phone. same guy, kevin johnson. also when i said i had no money they kept putting me on hold.asking if i have ever been arrested, etc.

Got a call from them just a little while ago, guy with a thick accent obviously not American addresses me by my first and last name and says his name name is Andrew and "my social security number has been frozen" and I need to call him back as soon as possible.

I'm a bit concerned that they have my name and number, hopefully they were just phishing for info and don't have anything.

This guy called me saying his name was officer brian asking me why I commited fraud and if thats what my intentions were. He had all of personal information and was more than ready to give it to me. He threatened to have me go to court if i didnt pay them $1150.00. He also claimed that I had took out a payday loan and didnt pay it back which is not true and that they had deposited $800.00 in my account back in January. I asked if this happened way back then how come im just now being notified and he said that its because thy dont like to harrass customers at all. It was my job to contact them. They wanted me to give them my credit card number and all of that stuff. I asked them for a call back number and they gave me this number. They were very rude and i couldnt really understand them. I wonder how many people have fallen for this. Since they have all of my information I closed my cards and ordered new ones, I changed my bank account numbers and I am reporting them to who ever I can.

What online loan company do all of these have in common? I think a class action law suit against the online loan company that leaked this information out would be appropriate. Please post the loan company that you used so we can get together and get the ball rolling.

The main question I have is: are the online loan companies "selling" our information to these people, or are they hacking into their system.

I just got a call yesterday from some guy name steven.  Left me a message on my home phone that there was a charge filed against me for internet fraud and theft.  Said I took a payday loan from Crown Lending.  When I called the number they left me, a 917 area code they sound like they are Indians or Pakistanian, the guy answered Hello, can I help you.  I asked him what company was this and he said they were not a company but a group of lawyers.  I told him I did not apply for any loan from Crown Lending.  He said Crown Lending was the parent company for over 300 payday loan websites.  I told him that he has to get the exact name of the payday loan website I owe money before I talk to him any further.  He said he would get back to me with that today.  Haven't heard anything yet

i know this is for 310 number but mines came from 646-289-8345, also when he first called me it was on a Tennessean number, which is where i live then told me to call him back on a new york number, same guy. so i called him, his name was john, he was Indian i believe anyway he told me that i took out some a payday loan and that i owned them 4,000 plus 1,000 and then if i didn't pay it i was going to jail for check fraud, a cop was on his way to arrest me. i asked him to give me some information on the payday loan, he said it was against the law. i told him i would pay it off. he gave me all this information that he wanted me to fax it to him. i told him ok. i got on this website and read every thing. then called the police department and told them everything.the cop told me it is against the law from some to do that. this john guy even read me my rights. don't pay them anything its a fake.

I have had a couple of calls from these guys too.  My caller has represented herself as Officer Cheryl Johnson and also has a very thick accent, as well as very poor grammar.  They first called me in about March or April, I think.  I called back just because I couldn't make heads or tails out of voicemail message they left.  About a nanosecond into the conversation, I knew it was a scam, so I just told her that they could go ahead and send someone out to arrest me and that I'd have my brother, the attorney bail me out and handle everything from there.  She then hung up on me and I didn't hear anything more from them until this past Friday (July 3, 2009).  She left a voicemail message.....same garbage as before.  I just deleted the message and didn't bother to call back.....I haven't heard anything else since then.  I would advise everyone to just hang up, don't return calls and don't give out any info.  However, I wouldn't worry too much about what they do have....I haven't had any problems in my bank account, credit report (which I monitor regularly anyway just to be safe) or in any other way.  Also, if they intended to just take money out of your bank account, they wouldn't go to such lengths to try to get you to send it.....they'd just take it.  That being said, it is always a good idea to monitor your 3 credit bureau reports on a regular basis anyway just to be sure there isn't anything there that shouldn't be.

The same thing happened to me and i don't know what to do they had my social and they called me at work saying i was being sued for internet fraud which is weird because i thought they were suppose to summons you to court not call you at your place of work saying that u are bein sued i need someone's help please

you gotta go to the police file a report contact the credit breaus such as transunion report it to bbc and your phone company

This guy calls my cell phone and tells me his name is Officer Brian.  He actually left me a message telling me they are trying to help me because I am being charged with some type of fraud.  It may be fraud on the internet or on the phone and then they try to verify my social security number.  I hung up on this guy.  Also they answered the phone by saying "Hello" not a business name.  I am not sure if this has happened to anyone else.

He call my dad friend siad that had to get this massages to him that if didnt get him to call this guy that there was going to be a worent out for his arrest and if he didnt pay this guy that he could sit 6 months in jail. The guy has a actsent and cannot spack english that will and these people are very rude on the phone and he told my dad friend that she counld get in trouble too and go to court.

They just called me.  "If you do not call back then only G_d can help you"

This guy sounded like a China man with broken English Language called my cell cell phone yesterday and alleged that I was being charged with Fraud when in fact he had all of my personal information. He made all sorts of legal threats, so I hung up on him (after he said I could not avoid the call), he called nack and left this number to contact him 310.775.9069. First all there you must be served with a summons before any legal/pending legal matter can be brought against you without such your rights are being violated. Second of all no one is or can call you to tell you about a case against you, you must receive notice in writting regarding any outstanding legal case. I contacted my local AG's office, filed a complaint with the Federal Fraud Beauru and notified all three credit reporting agencies as to possible fraud that may occur as a result of this incident. BE WARE China Men are no bodies officers! Especially not for the United States anything!

got a call from this company saying i was being charged with internet fraud and that i had taking out a pay day loan and closed my accounts and not paid it back. i called the number back and they answered the phone hello..They had all my personal infomation..i called the back and i called an attorney..these people are crooks..they said they represent a place called midland marketing

This man called me, he had a heavy accent. He told me his name was Kevin Johnson with the United State Legal Investigation Unit. He told me that I was being charged with check fraud and that an officer was on the way to get me. He then stated if I wanted to get out of this before they file the lawsuit against me I could pay "restitation out of code prosecution fees"(there is no such code) in the amount of 640.00.  Needless to say this is a scam.  They said that they represent a company called midland marketing.  Be careful, call the police!!!!!

This guy call me and say that his name was Lash Arlington and say that he was a United state Legal Investigation Unit and told me that I did a loan in the internet and that I owe them $970 in payment.  He also say that he will call the police and arrest me within 2 to 3 hours and so I have just call the police and hopefully the police will give me a call back soon.

this guy left me a voicemail stating that i am in some legal trouble i turned this over to my attorney and they are working hard on trying to find this person. be careful you guys he will get caught

I got a call at my place of work from a 310-775-9069 number and they had left a message with a co-worker that i would be arrested on federal banking fraud and ss# fraud and theft by diseption. So after making me look bad at my work i had called him back they answered the phone "Hello" then got real quiet. I asked to speak with ERIC JOHNSON they had no one by that name so they put me on hold. After holding for awhile they came back on and got real smart yelling at me with there horrible english. Everytime i asked for info they told me i am here to help you pay this amount of $740. When i agree to pay that amount they got real nice. They wanted me to fax them my credit card # plus the security code on the back of my card DOB and my SS#. So get them off my back i said ok. The fax # was 914-462-3657. I  dont know what i should do????

t.cutwright..dont give this company any info not only will they take the 740.00 they will come back and take more money..never never give out your info.also its against the law for a collection agency to say to you that your going to be arrested.

These guys called me at my work, I hung up on the guy but before I did that I wrote down his number and name "Jimmy Carter"... LOL  I had a few of my co-workers call him back and prank call him...we had those fools on the phone for like an hour giving them false information and #'s...I am pretty sure they got a bit frustrated with all of us...they hung up on us a few times..LOL...lets see if they call me back. LOL
