TNS!! Called and said he had my stripper pole ready for delivery. Said it was paid for already and he had my name and address correct. Thanks internet and credit checking and real estate services for providing this to any slob that wants to pay for it. I told him I had no legs since they were blown off in Korea and the monkey LAUGHED. Can you believe that? LAUGHED! No monkey laughs at a Korean war vet. I was gonna give him what fer and stick a flower in it but the monkey hung up on me.

Guy called said he was some name from Hawthorne...I asked where he was calling from and full address.  Said he was calling from a warehouse (again wouldn't give the full details) and he had to arrange for delivery & installation of an item.  When I asked what it was he said a stripper pole to be delivered and installed in our bedroom.  I laughed.  He said it was good exercise...He said he didn't order it and it was already paid for.  I told him he was full of s**t.  He said it was fun...then when I went to get my husband, he hung up.

Same caller - fyi - I have a Panasonic basic phone with multiple portable phones.
The phone will allow you to block 20 numbers. In those cases, I get a quick ring and nothing further.
However I have been saving the additional phone numbers in my phone once I know it is a telemarketer.
I save them as "DNA-SALES" so when I see those #'s calling back, I don't bothering answering.
These phone sets allow quite a few #'s to be saved so you can avoid the aggravation, once you identify them.

Ideally, they wouldn't call in the first place, but this way I only deal with them one time.  

CID says "out of area", they have never left a message and I will never answer a call I don't know anything about.  They are calling through Nextel and appear to reside in Hermosa Beach, CA.  

Their call behavior clearly confirms them as an illegal telescammer.  Added to my blacklist.

Repeated calls from this number in recent weeks. Asked to be put on the do not call list and for them not to call me again.  The man stated " I am going to call you right back".  This is harassment.

Latest in a LONG line of telescammers to call me about some sort of contracting.  No message left.  Good.

Just called me. Selling double pane windows - never heard of the Do Not Call List.... Yeah right!

Ha!  I just received a phone call from this guy who said he represented the City of Torrance Home Owners Association.  I gave him a good run around by first asking who provided him with my number (of course he did not answer).  Then, I told him he had the right name, but wrong city.  When I asked again who was the provider of my information, he hung up.  I love teasing them before I place them on my call block list.  By the way, if you own a Panasonic telephone answering machine, it has the capability of storing 20 blocked calls.  After entering the blocked call number, the telephone will only ring once, then show "Blocked caller" on the ID.

this is a telemarketer selling free estimates for home improvements ... would not identify company ... I asked a lot of questions ... eventually he hung up on me :)

Called today....I could tell from the pause that it was a telemarketer of some kind.  He said "Hello, (name of my wife)?"  I said "who is this".  He hung up.

I'm filing a formal complaint with the FCC do-not-call registry.  Please, whenever you get an unwanted telephone call - especially if it is a telemarketer that is illegally invading your privacy, ALWAYS file a complaint!  The FCC does not investigate individual complaints, but they will take action if enough people complain.

Also, if you have AT&T, there is a feature that I just found out about that allows call blocking of up to 20 numbers.  Most of these telemarketers are using a computer to call you, so it does not bother them a bit.  But they WILL call back (or their machine), so blocking the number may help to further reduce additional calls.

The number may be spoofed (fake telephone number), but it usually is not.
