The same thing happened to me...Indian accents from a 315 and 909 area code...they are trying to scare people, don't give them any info..make a police report and complaint with investigations at your local DA's office!

They called me at work it was scary they new my name and my sisters name, they had my social, e-mail, place of work, and said that i was going to be arrested first in two hours then when i called back they said i would be arrested at work on Monday and to bring my sister.  What is scary is that they have so much of my personal information.

the woman who called me was Maggie Williams said she was from Cyber Crime unit- said I was going to be arrested in 2 hours and that they were going to pick me up at work or at home.  Wouldn't tell me in regards to what. I had local law enforcement check into it and the company hung up on them.  There are no judgements out on me I had law enforcement check into that while I had them on the phone.  This company new all my personal info-which sucks because I have already had major identity theft.

Had the same thing happen to me...only the lady said she was Maggie Williams and when I would not give her any information or verify what they had she transferred me to a Kevin Foster.  He stated that he was the supervisor and that I had to identify my information.  I hung up and he called right back.  He left the same message as for others, that I would be arrested at work in two hours.  Very scary, but I realize now for sure it is a scam.  However, I filed a complaint with the FTC and will do the same with the attorney general in my state and CA.  It was a call center and they all spoke with heavy arabic accents.

I received a call from a man with an accent who said that I need to call him back with my attorney information or he would send his legal men to my home to get me.  Said he was from some Crime dept. and his name was Shawn Mark.  I received this call before same man but used a different name & numbers on several other occassions.  Even received the calls for my brother but they came to my phone.  The other calls he demanded money and my legal problem would go away.  He called my job a total of 50 times in one day yelling at my boss and calling her and other staff, who answered, names if they didn't put me on the phone.  I was in the hospital at this time and he didn't believe that I wasn't there.

He left the same message for me and told me he was coming for my brother or father, not sure which because he didn't say Sr. or Jr.  These calls have come before with a different name and number but the voice and background noise sound exactly the same.  I actually think it is a recording used for the background noise.  He also had my SSN and other personal information.  That's very scary.

I woke to an unusual voice message today. Seems a Maggie Williams from the Cyber Crime Unit was going to turn my information over to a "court house" if my lawyer or I didnt return the call.

They left a message for me on my cell phone.  At first it kinda freaked me out, until I listened again.  Then it just sounded fishy.  They did have the last four digits of my SSN.  So glad I found this site though.  I hope those f*ckers call back, I want to talk to them personally and let them know the joke is on them.

I got a call on 2 of the cell phones I have on my family account.  The number that came up was a 206 area code but the call back number he gave was a 208 area code which I tried to call back but it rang once and then went to a fast busy.  The "man" on the phone had a strong Indian accent and said his name was Officer John Brown from the Cyber Crimes Unit Law Firm.  He had the last 4 of my social, said my drivers license would be canceled and the address he stated where the local authorities would be on the way to arrest me if I didn't call back ASAP I no longer lived at. After reading all these posts I feel a bit better knowing this is all a scam.  I will be letting my friends and family know about this.

These people tried to victimize me as well. I received a call representing a law firm, "Cyber Crimes Division". The person on the line had an accent so thick that I could not understand him yet his name was RUSTY ROGERS. I have known victims of these scams and all the evidence is clear. Fictional names, out of service #s and so many obvious suspicions. I told them I felt they were running a scam and there assertiveness instantly died. The return # I received is 760-354-9133. They also asked me to fax an authorization letter with personal information including bank and ID info. DO NOT LET ANYONE HAVE THIS INFORMATION.

I just got the same call from an Indian speaking man myself at work but his name today is Daniel Brown...yeah right!. The number he gave me was 818-812-4117 and said he was from the law firm Cyber Crime Unit Law Office. He said they will be picking me up at work or at home in a few hours to take me to court and I would have to pay $5,000.00! It is regarding a payday loan. I also hear it is in a call center. This is the 2nd call from him. The first he put his supervisor on the phone. I told him today to stop threatening me. How does this end? It's scary!!!

I got a call stating that there was a lawsuit against me. and i needed to call back or pay $5000 in court fees. When i called back they could not give me any information in regards to this suppose it debt i owe.The number i got a call from is 573-340-5076.

I received a call from an Arabic man named James. The guy left me a message, threatening to send law enforcement to arrest me unless I contacted him immediately at 530-466-7614 . After calling him back he went on about a case being placed against me by QuickCash.net with something being said about $5040.00, and since I have no previous record of fraud, I have the chance to pay a minimum fee of $502.00 to prevent further action from taking place. He read my rights to attorney too. Believing I somehow fell victim of Identity theft, I almost made that transaction.. I was in the process of depositing the funds to the account and gave him my card information and billing address. I wasn't thinking it was a scam until they also requested a written "authorization letter" to include the last four of my card number, the last four of my social, a signature, and a photo copy of my drivers license. He wanted me to fax that to 714-598-3357. I asked who he worked for and he claimed to be with the Cyber Crime Division. I told him I was going to call him back once the funds were in the account. I hung up on him and looked them up through the internet. There was nothing but this and thank god I found this out on time. I notified my bank, cancelled the card, called "the Cyber Crime Division" back and informed them about the fraudulent situation and told them I reported them to the Attorney General. I know there is someone I can report this too but don't know who. Anybody got any advice?

I got a call saturday on my daughters phone.  Different last name different account all together.  I yelled at them and hung up on them.  Today I get a call at work from "SANTANA" how dare that arab disgrace the good name of a guitar legend!!!!!!!!!.  Let them get my credit lol the joke is on them.  I wouldn't know how to live with good credit if I had it.  Maybe they can bring up my credit score.lol

The same thing happened to me.  Except I am in NJ and they called my work, very upsetting, and scarey, I ended up call the US Dept of Crime Division they told me this was a scam, and that I should not worry, but to get a copy of my credit report.  I too am worried that they have so much of my personal information.  I am going to stop filling out forms online, except this this the way things are going for most  businessess.  What would you suggest.

So I just received a phone call from this number threatening me that I am going to be arrested. Once I started questioning them they started to have an attitude and hung up on me. They would not release any information to me as to what the "legal case" was all about. They kept insisting it was due to a payday loan that I had taken out the beginning of this year. I will admit I used a pay day loan company last year to try to help me out a little bit. (BIG MISTAKE). This is not the first time I have received a phone call like this. I received a phone call like this a few months ago from the same people I am assuming. They ran the same lines last time. It is just really scary to know all the information they have. They have my place of employment, my social, my phone number, my address, and my husbands name.

I have been getting messages on my cell phone and now they are calling me at work. It is an Indian speaking man named Hack Hobbs. (right) He is with the Cyber Crime Unit. A law firm in Californina. The number he left was an invalid number with an area code for Phoenix AZ. I had my carrier look up the number only to find out that it was a disconnected number. The area code that showed on my phone turned out to be from Orange County CA. I contacted the Attorney General there and had my name run through the data base to see if there were any outstanding suits against me, of course there were none. He suggested to contact the police dept in Phoenix to see what they might know. I did that and they ran my name through several data basis with the same results..nothing. They told me to contact the Attorney General's office of AZ also. That was not the best call as they would not even talk to me because I didn't have an address of the company. Thanks for that. I got another call today at work and when I took the call I tried to get information about them and the Indian gentleman with a heavy accent just kept repeating his script. I asked him why he was calling me and threatening me. He said there was no threats. I told him I had saved all his voice mails and was giving them to the police. He then said I had to talk to his supervisor. Now this entire incident was taking place in what sounded like a call center because I could hear lots of people in the background all speaking either in a foreign language or with heavy accents and lots of noise.  When the supervisor came on (another heavy Indian accent) I tried to ask him the same questions and would not let him take control of the conversation. He then told me that he didn't care, I was going to be arrested tomorrow at my place of work. Then they called my cell phone and said that unless I called back to a new number 310 974 8956 myself and someone else at my place of employement (it was mumbled) would be arrested too.

I called the local state police barracks and they ran my name and came up with nothing but felt that this was a scam and I should contact the credit bureaus to be sure that nothing was showing up on that as well. She also suggested that I contact my carrier and have my number changed. These people are unscrupulous and are using scare tactics to get money from people. I hope that everyone is savy enough to research it before just shipping off what ever it is they want.

I HAVE CALLED THE ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA'S ATTORNEY GENERAL, THE PHOENIX AZ POLICE, THE DOCUMENT CRIME TEAM OF AZ AND FINALLY MY LOCAL STATE POLICE. THIS IS A BIG SCAM! ASSUMING THAT ANYONE ACTUALLY WILL TALK TO YOU THEY WILL PROBABLY WANT YOU TO SEND THEM MONEY TO TAKE CARE OF AN OUTSTANDING DEBT. THE STATE POLICE SAID THAT THEY ARE PROBABLY CALLING FROM A DIFFERENT COUNTRY AND ROUTING THE NUMBER THROUGH OTHER STATES. I WAS TOLD BY THE POLICE TO CONTACT THE CREDIT BUREAUS AND GET COPIES OF MY REPORT TO BE SURE THEY HAVENT GOT ACCESS TO THAT

This happen to me yesterday they called my job saying there name was mark then they gave me to richard i got a payday loan and owe 300.00 and now with interest and there fee they want me to pay 978.00 if i gave them 500.00 yesterday they woulndt come up to my job ant arrest me but if not they will be at my job today and arrest me and teel my employer what i have done. I just recieved a call about 10 mins ago from 310-974-8956, however it showed up unavailable. I let it go to the voicemail. Some lady left a message saying either me or my attorny better call back b/c I was in a legal case. I call the number back. A guy answered the call. He said he couldn't understand me, so he would call my right back. It's a scam!!!
