Same number 312-554-5317 message reply from Craigslist ad I ran.... SCAMMER and I wish the FCC would do something about this. At the very least craiglist should build in some kind of security to prevent this knid of scamming.

Yes & no. Funds can clear your bank, but if the check is phoney, the bank comes back on you. If you are selling a big ticket item, take a bank draft. The paper trail is 100%. It's a bank-to-bank transaction as done years ago. Still works. As the seller, you dictate the conditions of the sale, not the buyer. If the sale is not in person, protect yourself.

This person wanted to purchase something off Craigslist from me too. Told him I would ship to him AFTER funds cleared into my bank account. He quit contacting me.

I posted an item on Craig's List this person tried to scam me out of the item.

Wants to buy something
