I have gotten a hang up call from this number and when I call back, there's an error

Constant calling from a recorded message.

I am on do not call list and I received this call.......I don't know who it is and I would like it stopped or I will report calls to proper authorities.

Calls once a week then I call back and error. F***ing annoying.

GE SECURITY SEC caller id calls from this Central Chicago Illinois area code number is calling for the dreaded OUT OF STATE TELEMARKETING can we put a sign in your yard then install a FREE Home Alarm BAIT AND SWITCH cold call. Nothing is FREE you are paying for it one way or another down the line. And why would someone put in a Home Alarm from an OUT OF STATE company? Let alone from a call center using outbound line phone system that does not identify themselves so nobody can call back to stop these unwanted out of state telemarketing cold calls.

This GE WIRELESS SEC (caller id) number is PROTECT AMERICA who also uses the number 917-793-5699 (New York cell phone area code) to make these out of state BAIT and SWITCH TELEMARKETING that says let us put a sign in your front yard and we will put in a FREE home alarm. Nothing is FREE somewhere down the line after the presentation you will be paying for it one way or another.

Here we go again our state & goverment won't or will not help- the consumer from being pestered
by marketing calls at all hours of the morning, afternoon or night,. I am so sick and tired of these
lousy pests and our state and goverment use the comeback excuse that some how we have done business with on of these companys so they are allowed to call. BS. I have told these bums over the years I am on the DO NOT CALL list but that doesn't mean anything does it. I have been home now for many months recovering from cancer surgery and heart failure, does that matter NOT AT ALL, and our local goverment doesn't do anythimg to stop these people or listen to us, well then give everyone your numbers and you take the calls. This has got to stop now. Voter new people in at every level we need to do some clean up ourselves.

I called the Protect America number that was listed above and they don't have my number on file! So I don't know who is calling. I am also on the do not call registry! I keep getting calls from 917-793-5699, 312-878-5661, and 516-453-5589. Any idea how to stop them???

Just want to agree with 3128785661  I just got my first call from this number. I won’t have to put up with them to many times. I have a neat little Computer program that works very well on these jerks. My complaint is with the National Do Not Call and The Texas Do Not Call. Both of which I have belonged for years. So there should be NO excuse for me getting this type of call. However, I see no help from these DO NOT Call Organizations. I use to go to their Sites and fill out the form. I even got letters make from them saying they had received my complaint. I complain. (Takes I little time) but in the end I keep on getting unwanted  calls. Some keep calling with the same name but different number. Some do it in reverse; Some are calling with different names and  same number.  I can’t block them completely but I can Zap them after the very first ring. I know this about the names and numbers  because my little Computer programs Logs every  call whether I answer it or not.  Lets not forget the Phone Companies, they could give us some real blocking power.

I get these calls all the time. It seems the national DO NOT CALL registries do not work. Anytime I have to register for anything where you HAVE to give a phone number, I give my cell phone. All my friends/family/business associates are in my contacts so when they call they come up by name on the caller ID, this way when a strange number or PRIVATE NUMBER comes up, I do not answer (no answer - no minutes either) and no one has my home phone except those I choose to have it. No telemarketers get it either.

Just received the call from that number also. Caller Id said GE Wireless Security. Said I would get a free GE security system if I put a sign in my yard. he asked how to spell my name.. I said "do you know my name?" He said he could pull it out of there automated system. He then asked to only spell my first name. I did. He said someone would call me back immediately and I should sit tightly  by the phone for the representative to call me back. No one ever called back. Idiots.

No message called both office & cell #'s.  I'm in Southwest OH.

Never leaves a message ... if you try to call back it says your number cannot be completed as dialed

I live in Michigan and also just got a call from this number... they did not leave a message and the "call could not be completed as dialed" when I tried calling back. I am reading that it is probably a scam from most of you... for those of you who answered the phone call, thank you all for letting us know what/who it was.

I live on the opposite side of the state from Pittsburgh - Wilkes-Barre area, PA. They called around 4pm this afternoon. No message left and I can't "complete the call as dialed".

Got a call today, live in florida...no marathon runner here..lol

I received this call and am in Georgia.  Did not answer, no message.

Someone from this number called on my cell and said they were a "security company" looking for someone in my area for them to install "free" to get name recognition of their company.  They asked for my name and said someone would call right back to talk to me about.  I foolishly gave them my name and now I am worried about what they might do with the information of my cell number and my name.

I was called by 312-878-5661 I believe it is a scam & I'm listed on the do not call registry

I'm in Missouri and the call comes from IL. it's some kind of survey as I discovered on another site with complaints about this same number. most people don't get an answer either.

we can all just put this number on the list with that other number no body else cares about: "777-9311" {*old song with this number in it.}

"Kevin" just called me too. I told him I am on the do not call list and hung up.  Then immediately filed a complaint with donotcall.gov.  Maybe if enough of us complain it will get some action.
These people obviously don't care about following the rules.

I've been getting these calls, so called "Protect America" and the lady I spoke with claimed I wasn't on their call list. BTW, I'm from Michgan and registered on the Do Not Call List! So Irritating! This number and 2 others keep calling me!

Why would anyone want to use an out of state company to put in a Home Alarm that uses several different numbers to call from out of state?

It's TELEMARKETING for a home security calling with this GE WIRELESS SEC (caller id) with a 312 area code from Central Chicago Illinois. You cannot call it back because they are using an outbound line phone system so no inbound calls can tie up the numerous outbound computor dialed calls that the first call picked up by someone is answered, so if there are no open salesperson to answer you get the hang up-no answer calls. If I wanted a home security alarm I surely wouldn't use an out of state company to put one in and their FREE alarm if we can put up a sign in your front yard is nothing but a BAIT AND SWITCH. Nothing is FREE your paying for it one way or another.

I got this message as well. It sounded real but upon further listening, was more like an automated voice.
