Do not know who called

Like those previously noted, I was searching for used auto parts online, filled out the form, and then was called within 3 minutes of submitting the form.
The caller said his name was "Charles" (heavily noted Indian accent) and he was calling from "Quality Auto Parts," regarding my inquiry.
Note: the caller id showed he was calling from phone number (312) 878-9158, in Illinois. VISIT THAT PHONE NUMBER'S INFORMATION AND LOOK AT ALL THE COMPLAINTS (http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-312-878-9158#p665510377545996544)!!!
The telemarketer provided all the information about my parts, gave a great price and then began pushing for me to purchase NOW so I could get the great offer.
I informed him I was gathering information right now, but could I get his phone number so I could call him back at a later date, that way he could get credit for the sale (I never give ANY personal information from someone who calls me! I always get their information, check it out, and then will call back if they're valid. Trust, but verify).
He gave me his toll free number (the one I'm commenting on), with his extension, and he said he would send me an e-mail with all my parts information, plus his contact info. Well 24 hours have passed, and I have yet to hear word one from him.
I don't trust the call, and would say to all others, "Caveat emptor!"

Looking for parts in junkyard, found a website that wants to charge my credit card to find it. I x out of the site.
Two minutes later got as phone call from this number and they said that have the part. I will NOT give them my credit card #.
It doesn't smell good.

These jerks called me at 5:50 am.  East asian accent. Couldn't understand the guy then he hung up.
Next day phoned at 6:50 fn am.  

I think he was trying to talk in English but the only thing I understood was he wanted my email address so that he could send me some sort of computer code.  WTF.
Now I read here that it's a parts biz site and I remember filling out one for a hard-to-find part for my sons Mustang.

I hung up on the idiot after I told him what f'n time zone I was in.

I did the auto scam thing; too. Over 9 bucks...got email with no price. I call.
A hood for $550. I find one in my home town for $211. Sent this outfit an email; and explained that.
Now I get a message..no one talking...just breathing the whole time till machine stopped....
They came down from 550 to 500, then 450....Don't spend any money for an outfit that will find you parts....

I received a call from this site about a bumper I was looking for. I asked for a picture to be sent so that I knew wasn't buying one in the same shape as mine and they told me they would send a picture after I ordered the bumper. I don't deal that way so I told them to forget it.

I made the mistake ofpaying $ 5.95 for a website to locate a front fender. They first e-mailed me without giving a price; then e-mail me prices twice the average cost. Subsequently I now get these phone calls at all odd hours. I may have to call my bank to try to get my money back! What a scam, what an annoyance!

Found a parts locator site that takes all your personal info before they request $ for the search.
Called me twice within 90 seconds after I opted out of the search.

I got a call back asap from an online look for parts as well. They were very shady, so I hung up without giving them any information. 5 minutes after I hung up I got an unknown call which I didn't answer, but i'm sure it was them.

This company called back very quickly on a request for auto parts. Very courteous. No problem

If only they didn't want to talk to me anymore. This guy is blowing up my phone once I told him how much I wanted to pay for an engine and he told me I was broke and wanted junk so i told him not to call back

I also got a call from this number after submitting an inquiry on junkyarddog.com. He said his name was Solomon from Quality Auto Parts in Chicago. He was very nice but after I got the details and I said I needed to discuss it with my mom he kept calling me almost nonstop for the next day and a half. He actually called me six times in a row until I finally answered and told him to stop calling.

they quoted me 1200 for an engine that goes for 5k..... so im going to assume its a scam.

Uh, you _do_ know that this website is not connected in any way, shape, or form, to the guys who keep calling you, right?

Same thing here...within minutes of being on a site for a used part they called and left a message. I called back and they quoted me a price that was twice what I had found the part for somewhere else. When I told them that, they didn't want to talk to me anymore.

Yes, it's a number from a car parts finder service, and yes, they do work on commission, so if you can bargain, then you can perhaps get a fair price, otherwise, you may pay double.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED 2 TIMES NOT O CALL MY HOME--NO MORE WARNINGS. NEXT CALL WILL BE TO THE AUTHORITIES. BOTH OF MY NUMBERS ARE ON A DO NOT CALL LIST. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU CANNOT GRASP THAT CONCEPT...AUTOPARTS...BS..WE HAVE NOT NEEDED AUTOPARTS IN YEARS SCAM ARTIST!

This number called me shortly after I entered my phone number into a site to search for car parts for me.. I think they left a message i haven't checked.
