I've gotten a call from this # but only a couple times in the past few weeks. Found out it was from one of my doctors offices that sends out those auto-mated messages to remind you of appointments. It was a new dialer system they switched to that doesn't use their office phone# but this stupid blank #. When I told them, they didn't even know about it.

If it is happening frequently, it is probably a scammer/telemarketer. If it is only once in a while, it could be a legitimate call from some office on an auto dialer. No idea about the STL Jail though. I don't know anyone calling from there. LOL

This number has called me 4 times in a hour. It's Sunday and this is the first day I've ever seen anything from this number. I added to my blocked call list through my service provider (Verizon).

Called, left no msg.

Incidentally, I just received a call, No msg left. CID said XXXXXXXXXX. That's a new one!

314 is a St. Louis area code MO = Missouri

why should a consumer buy a gadget at the cost of $100 to block calls??   they are invading our privacy, the $$ should be put on THEIR end!  ridiculous..been getting these calls too & pick up receiver & slam it down!

Stop whining about it and turn it around on them. Do what I did. Get a Call Blocker.  I got one from Digitone (and, no, I do not work for them. I just bought one). They cost about a hundred bucks and worth every penny of it. Seriously, a solid 32% of all calls coming into my house phone were from telemarketers, telescammers, politicians, survey takers, and zombie debt collectors. Now I have them all blocked. You can even block by area code and use wild cards so that you can block entire regions of the country. You can also use "white list" blocking by blocking all numbers other than the ones on your contact list. Once again, at least for me, life is good. An alternative might be to find a number that when you call it, gives you a message that the number is not in service. Then you use your selective call forwarding and send all of your unwanted calls to that number (or your ex, whichever).  Good luck to all of you.

I have been getting calls from 1-314-000-0000 for a week now. Several times a day. I don't answer because I don't know the #. I let the anwsering machine get it but no one ever leaves a message.

3 calls today from this number-3rd time I was home & when I answered no one was there, it was like the line was dead.  Feels like harrassment-alot of good being on the Do Not Call list.

They told me it was a political survey. Four times in one day? After the articke on the news about scammers asking about political opinions, I feel it is intrusive.

Wanting to know who I was going to vote for. They called me FOUR times today. How can I make it stop?

My household has gotten this number it called 3 times today my mother just answered they asked who she would be voting for.....

who IS this that calls 2-3 times a day? I am on the no call list

The calls started a few days ago. 3or 4 times a day until Saturday, So far it as been 8 times on Saturday. No one ever leaves a message and no one speaks when I answer. Why dont these asshol3s every be decent! why do telemarketers/surveyers to always be like this!!!

Got this 314-000-0000 several time's no one answers. I'm worried who is trying or what they are trying to do. What should we do?

Caller ID only says "xxxxxxxxxx    MO" on it, no message is left after two calls. Very annoying and suspicious.

It's so creepy.. I got a call from the same no - 314-000-0000 saying it's a call from st louis County jail.. and someone wants to talk to me... I think we should just inform the phone company or something..

I haven't answered it... because it just seemed to strange.  I wonder why it has MO on the end?

I answered 2 times, and 1st time no one spoke,  the next time,  lady came on said they were surveying mothers of 11 to 13 year old girls,   I replied that I did not have a girl of that age, and I was not interested.   I have worked for a phone company, and know that 000-0000was never assigned to any phone,   not sure how it could trace back to any jail.   314 is definitly a Missouri area code,  so that is why MO could appear on caller ID

AFTER RECEIVING 4 CALLS IN ONE DAY I FINALLY ANSWERED.  IT IS SOME FOREIGN COMPANY WANTING TO DO A SURVEY ON COMMUNICATIONS - I HAVE A FEELING IT IS SATELLITE TV RELATED BUT THEY WOULDN'T TELL ME WHAT THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBER WAS OR WHO THEY WORKED WITH.  THEY OFFERED TO REMOVE ME FROM THEIR CALL LIST - I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANYMORE.

This number has been calling sometimes 3 times a day my 81yr old Mother finally answered it and they said they were from Tax Education, and started asking her questions, luckily I listened in and told her to hang up. Beware!!!
