Some one calls here asking for Ann.

I don't care if this is a legitimate charity (which I doubt), if you respond to them, you will be inundated by calls from other charities. Repeatedly calling, hanging up, hiring foreign-speaking solicitors is not the way any organization or charity should do business.

Call came at 08:25 on Oct  13, 2013. I answered when no name was displayed in Spanish. Several people in conversational back ground. Caller said he thought the person who answered was speaking Japanse, paused and hung up connection.

Without any doubt, a fraudulent scam call from 314 549 5067.

These guys call constantly asking for the wife. When I say she is busy and ask who is calling they hang up. Very rude, however last a gentleman called and actually apologized for the past callers. I asked if he worked  for an agency collecting  for the American Veterns of Missouri and  he claimed he works for the Ameircan Veterns of Missouri. These companies are legal and don't need permission from the organization to collect funds. However the organizations they claim to fundraise for get only a small percentage of the donation you send. I suggest you send your donations diectly to the organization you choose. Most legit organizations to not use phone solicators.

Not sinister, but VERY annoying, you have to actually file a charity complaint on the BBB to get rid of them.  They were calling a million times and kept saying they would take us off their call list...and NEVER DID!  The problem is you get a different person every time.  They are like fleas, hard to get rid of!

Someone had a link to http://www.medallionfundraising.com.  This is NOT the company that is calling.  I followed the link and sent a polite email asking to be removed from all contacts.  The lady that called me back (almost immediately) said she is not the one who makes those harassing calls.  She also wishes the other Medallion would stop, because she gets this kind of response frequently.  Best idea I have - keep track of the numbers that call from the other company. Keep a list by your phone. When you see that number call, simply don't answer. They are obviously never going to remove anyone from their call lists, so just ignore them. PS - they also attempt to send "junk" faxes.

We have been receiving calls from this company for over a year.  The representative Holly stated it was an emergency but would not leave a message.  So I star 69 the number back and yet again it was this company MEDALLION it so ridiculous that you keep requesting to be taken off the call lists and they keep calling.  I understand it is for charity but my goodness when does it become harassment.  If it is the last thing I do I will report these people to property authorities to get relief.  We give to charities all the time it is not right that these people can use these techniques of trickery to get a donation.

They take a majority of the funds they collect for non profits. They are for profit. If you want to donate do it directly to the charity. They keep calling and I'm on the do not call list. Yes I reported them.

Call came from Missouri at 5:37 Pacifc Standard Time on 1/21/2013, I said Hello and waited for an answer 3 times and no response.

Rec'd a call this morning at 8:50 am.  Caller ID said St Louis, MO, don't know anyone from there so I did not answer, let my machine pick up but they left no message.

This IS a scam!   We tend to get the scam calls in batches .... and this call ended up to be part of the scam batch for today.  Don't care who they are pretending to be .... they are crooks wanting to steal your money in reality.

I don't care IF these folks aren't scammers ... they are as annoying as the criminals who tend to call.  AM on the DNC list, and I don't want to be constantly pestered by all of the phone calls.  We get hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of calls ... mostly from scamms.  Will NEVER, EVER, give to a charity if they pester us via phone.  Before we had the ability to block calls, we were getting at least 14 unwanted calls a days.  This is simply a form of harassment.  Oh BTW, these days the scammers pretend to be a legit charity .... so if someone calls you, you have NO idea as to who they actually are.  Give out your credit card number at your own peril.

They called and never left anything on the answering machine

Called our house at 5:45 pm, answered and no one said anything.  I finally hung up.  314-549-5067  It is very upsetting because I have family in that area but this is not any of their numbers.  Wish it would stop if it is a fundraiser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from this number.  No ID, no message.  When I called back, I got a recording saying I had reached an invalid number.  What a nuisance!

A gentleman called from this number.  No one was home to answer so he left a message, repeatedly attempting to pronounce my last name.  He did not say anything but my last name.  He went silent for about 10 seconds.  The only noise I heard were many voices chatting in the background then he hung up.  Seemed very unprofessional for a charity service!

dumbass,they are allowed to keep recoup the expenses they incur. not for profit dosent mean they cant break even. are they suppose to get free phone service and lights,whats wrong with you man?

Caller ID UNKNOWN NAME 314-549-5067 at 5:58 PM.  I do not answer this type of calls, especially at the top or bottom of the hour.  No voicemail message left.

Didn't recognize this number so did not answer, looked it up.

Also, if they are a non-profit charity, where do they get the money and justify spending the money it takes to have phone bank?

My caller id shows "Saint Louis Mo" as identification.  I never answer their calls.

I've called this number back and it claims that its a charity, but can not get a person so I can tell them to stop calling me.

Claimed to be some type of cancer prevention solicitation that said it uses an auto dialer and needed my number to remove, but required a supervisor to handle.

If they are a non profit fund raising company, why do they hang up every time I answer the phone? They have called my home phone several times and always hang up on me. Seems weird.

Call came from the St. Louis suburb of Oakville to Kansas at 17:32 hours CDT on 9-23-11. Call not answered and no message left. Later investigation developed that this number is in the phone bank of Madallion, the non-profit fund raiser outfit.

For heaven's sake.  Medallion is an established company that collects donations for various charities, including those that help children with cancer.  They may be annoying, but they are not sinister.
