Many new phones like my Panasonic 6.0Plus have call blocking capability. Mine can block 30 numbers. Next time the scammer calls from a blocked number, the phone "dings" once and the blocked number appears in the caller ID window. I maintain a list of junk call calls; number, date, name of company. I delete old numbers from which only one call was made and leave blocked numbers that call more than once so I can free up memory locations for new numbers to block.

It would be great for you to not hide behind a posting and post your real name and contact information. It sounds like your the person that caused the headache on this family. Could you perhaps be the person that set up the "Caller ID Spoofing" on the number 3148304485?
Keep writing, I am sure your IP Address can be tracked with all of your threats. I hope this family finds out who did this to them as well.

How to Track Spoofed Numbers
By Mary Cole, eHow Contributor, last updated July 03, 2011
A spoof caller can use Internet software to present any number to an unspecting person.
Spoof phone calls occur when the caller misrepresents who he is by displaying a caller ID and other associated information that isn't accurate. A spoofer could be a prank caller. He could also be a scam artist, pretending to be from your financial institution or telephone company, who is in search of personal information such as your social security number, bank account numbers or voice mail passwords. Tracking spoof calls can aid in a police investigation and satisfy your curiosity.

Phone Frustration: How To Halt Caller ID Spoofing
Posted: Feb 17, 2012 11:47 PM CST
By Rich Rodriguez - email
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
We've all been there. The phone rings during dinner and it's a telemarketer. The national Do Not Call Registry was put in place to stop those calls. But a lot of people complain it doesn't work. Others say the government does little to nothing to stop spam calls.
Telemarketers are now using new ways to get around it. And your caller ID isn't even telling you the truth about who's calling.
It's no secret that some telemarketers are finding a way to get around the law and get you on the phone. Now, the Federal Trade Commission is cracking down but it needs your help.
Lauren Burwell has been dialed in to the national Do Not Call Registry since 2009. But that hasn't stopped telemarketers from bothering this Fresno social worker who assists developmentally disabled adults. "Sometimes when I'm at doctors appointments with my clients that I work with, I'll get a call from a restricted number and I'll answer it and its some telemarketer trying to sell me something, and it's like I don't have time for this."
Lauren checks her caller ID before picking up the phone, but has noticed that some telemarketers aren't who they "appear" to be. "So I first enlisted on the national Do Not Call list in 2009 and I've had to update it every year cause I've still gotten calls from telemarketers. They've still found ways around it."
Lauren is a victim of caller ID spoofing. It happens when a caller disguises their name and phone number to make it look like they're someone else. Viewers on Facebook echoed the same thing. Barbara Calhoun wrote. "All the time. Just got one a little while ago."
Karen Scharton-Douglas said, "I've been on the Do Not Call list for years and yet Heather the robo caller from "Credit Services" has been calling me for years. Every time I file a complaint with DNC, for all the good it does."
The Federal Trade Commission is aware and has issued a warning: Some telemarketers are spoofing to get around the national Do Not Call Registry. They fraudulently pitch things like credit cards, mortgage relief and debt relief.
William Maxson with the FTC calls it a "serious and growing problem." "Each month when we look at our top number of complaints for do not call violations, spoofed caller ID name and number are always at the top." Telemarketers are required to display accurate caller ID information.
But when a call is spoofed, digits often show up as "dead", meaning they aren't real. Other times, the name of the caller is generic. Like "card services" or "customer service."
William Maxson, of the FTC says, "They use the name or number of a recognizable national brand or organization to give themselves a veil of legitimacy." That makes it difficult for consumers to screen out unwanted calls.
"It's that invasion of privacy that concerns us. The consumer can feel overwhelmed," says Amber Yoo of the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse. She says that's why the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse says it's important to keep a log of the spoofs you receive. "The date. The time. Was it a male or a female voice? what did they say? We recommend actually taking a photo of what your Caller ID is showing you."
Then, report what you find to the FTC. They're fighting back by actively investigating complaints.
"We've already brought nearly a dozen cases against companies that are engaged in Caller ID spoofing," says William Maxon of the FTC.
That's a message Lauren likes hearing. "It's been probably my biggest stressor for a long time. It's dealing with telemarketers. You can file a complaint with the FTC by logging on to FTC.gov, or by calling 877?FTC?HELP.

Please post your real names when you make threats to this family, they are victims like you and seeking to prosecute whomever did this to them. I just learned they were victimes of Caller ID Spoofing. Unfortunately, I was told that it could happen to anyone and I was just as angry as everyone else on this page. I feel really bad now for making so many nasty comments but some of you are making some really horrible threats.
Really 2012-06-12 03:03:48 Unknown
You really don't have a clue. It's not a spam response... so ignorant. I hope that you don't become a victim like they did.

They are not the real callers, it is called "Caller ID Spoofing." I just googled her and she certainly doesn't seem to be the type to sit at home and make stupid calls like this.

I called Monitronics, they are the company that monitors the alarm systems installed in homes and do not do any sales. I discussed this situation with the person and he understood but didn't think they could do anything about it as it was a system sales person from some installation company doing the calling. Perhaps if we bombard Monitronics they will dig into the situation and stop it. ?

Called when I was out , left no message . Caller ID was Natissia Small

All,
These jerk Telemarketers are working for a company call Monitronics. I've spoke with the Telemarketers several times and as everyone knows, they were rude, uncooperative and always hung up on me. I played the game today and got ahold of the company they work for, it's Monitronics. Their website is as follows.
http://www.monitronics.com. Their number is 800.290.0709. The worthless Telemarketers won't stop calling you. You need to call the company that hired them, Monitronics and complain. Now, every day when the Telemarketers call and try to sell me a home security system, I first press #1 and speak to a telemarketer. I string them along and then let them know that I'm calling Monitoronics and complaining about the them being Rude Telemarketers. They hang up on me at this point and I then call Monitronics and ask to have my number removed, escalate it to a supervisor and then proceed to tell them to knock it off in what ever language I feel like using. It's very satisfying. I suggestion everyone start doing this. Stand up for your rights. We can be annoying too. Let's all work to make their lives a living hell. Starting with a four letter word is a good starting point on the conversation. Good luck and don't take any crap from these morons. It's your phone and your life. How dare they harass your day and night with sales calls. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Cant be located by this way
Been getting these calls for YEARS 2012-06-07 18:00:00 Telemarketer
Caller ID said "MISSOURI" with a number I didn't recognize. Got there just as machine picked up; no message left. But came to this site and saw that it was the TIRED OLD credit card PHISHING SCAM of 'selling' alarm systems.
Time for someone to invent a phone where we could press a button and FRY THEIR COMPUTER/PHONE SYSTEM - and maybe even ELECTROCUTE a few people as a bonus!
I've read these calls come from MALAYSIA - WHICH IS A MUSLIM COUNTRY AND HOTBED OF TERRORISM AGAINST THE WEST. Maybe its time for a few CIA DRONES to visit them there.

camytram 2012-06-07 17:09:43 Unknown

Left no message.

Harrassment - quit calling!
Mike 2012-06-01 20:56:37 Telemarketer
FREE HOME ALARM. Their is no such thing. They want to install CRAP and bill you a lot of money for that so call free alarm. I told then I have a REAL alarm and not one of their POSs. Will turn then into the DNC and the Alabama Electronic Sec. Board.

Yes, Telemarketing. What a bunch of useless -*^~#^!!! Let's hear it for caller ID so I can ignore worthless pieces of $#!@^ like these callers.
cojofisch 2012-05-30 20:10:42 Unknown
Again...the repeated calling & no message this time. I just hope Karma works fast!!
FedUp 2012-05-30 19:32:08 Unknown
They call just about everyday trying to sell a security system. I push #2 to stop the calling, it does nothing! They keep calling.
kim 2012-05-30 19:20:35 Telemarketer
Continues to call at least weekly, pressing "2" does not remove me from their list>:(
DieSpammerDie.com 2012-05-30 19:11:42 Unknown
BTW, this is the first day where I recieved two of these calls in just 30 minutes. They have no care in the world for you or me, just themselves. It doesn't mean anything if, say, they were to intefere with a call you were waiting for about your sick Mother or about-to-give-birth Wife.
They are whatever slime was before it evolved into slime, and these jerks need to be placed alongside people who throw kittens in dumpsters. That way we can save on bullets but still do the world a favor :)

Have been receiving calls from this number about every other day for weeks now - extremely annoying. How can I make them stop?
DieSpammerDie.com 2012-05-30 19:07:20 Unknown
I just state with a calm and clear voice that I wish they would all die. Do the same and, hey, maybe it'll just work :)
BD 2012-05-30 18:42:07 Telemarketer
Fake alarm sales company. This is the second number that has been used to see if I am home at the time of call, was called last week with same recorded message." That I was referred by a friend or neighbor about receiving a free home alarm for the right to post a company sign in the yard". Total lie and nonsense.

Use this link to National No Call List to copy any one of the above complaints and your own to make a complaint against this spoofer. Prank/Telemaketer Call!
brian 2012-05-30 18:38:49 Unknown
have asked to be taken off this calling list at least four times. this time I pretended to be interested and when they discovered I was not a homeowner they screened me out of the sales pool. hopefully they've realized it is a waste of their resources to call me.

I have received multiple calls from this number. I've pressed appropriate number to be removed from call list which hasn't worked. I've spoke with someone to tell them to remove my number and they hung up on me. I'm on a do not call list so I'm going to report them.
