Call was on a federal holiday at 7:00 pm
Then female with accent hung up after saying. "Anyone there?"
Duh....a federal office/phone calling on a federal holiday?! I don't think so.

Called stating they were conducting a survey for the phone companies. They knew my company's address and had questions about the types of communication services we used. I answered a few generic questions regarding what type of phone line we used (land line vs Fiber Optic vs VoIP), if we used cell phones and if we subscribed to cable. Then they wanted to know more information than I felt comfortable giving out to a blind call. She told me that if I didn't provide the information she was asking for, the call could not continue. I said that was fine, and we discontinued the call.
