315-285-9925 has called my phone 4+ times recently. on 4/25/14 I decided to pick up. I got the recorded message that was stated in other msgs, then I pressed 1, the only option. The call was picked up by 'Mr. James' who started by asking a question about credit cards. I said 'Put me on your do not call list. The attorney general will get my complaint if you... then he hung up on me. Today I tried to call back, and I got a recording that the number was no longer in service.

I get calls from A**holes like this all the time. I sure would like to find a way to make them stop. Anytime I question them about who they are they hang up on me, but they seem to know who I am or at least my first name. This last time the caller asked me what was the matter with ME. Don't give them any information, ever.
ted 2014-04-23 17:53:38 Unknown
oops ck'd it out & they refer to Fed DNC...

dont know if it would help but I think that each state has it's own Do Not Call Registry--not sure but wouldnt hurt to complain there I guess as well as FTC..
It IS ALL A SCAM FOLKS! 2014-04-23 17:38:50 Unknown
Telemarketing scams are the new email spams. You will receive many many more calls from various numbers. All the numbers and caller ID's are faked/spoof. The criminals will use another fake number tomorrow and then another the day after that and so forth. Telemarketing scams are on the rise, mostly foreign operated and YES the person on the other end know they are trying to scam you, which makes them criminal low-lives too. Criminals do not care about you nor the law.
These calls aren't going to stop you will receive many more (worth repeating). Do not pick up. Do not bother pressing any buttons or wasting their time. They are criminals. Criminals do not care.
Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Especially to telemarketers that CALL YOU.
You will not win anything, there is no lowering of your credit card interest rate, there is no home security, computer fix, auto warranty, no medical alert devices or no free government money. There is no company just criminals looking to steal your identities and hard earned money.
Warn the elderly and warn the gullible. Take the time to let others know.
Don't take the calls personally. A computer does all the work until you press a button. Then your call is forwarded to a criminal operator who attempts to steal your personal info. Don't be a victim. Do not provide any personal information over the phone and just ignore the calls. Never ever give personal information over the phone. Not full name. Not full address. Definitely do not give date of birth over the phone. Definitely do not provide your social security number over the phone. And definitely not provide financial information over the phone.
Beware of out of your calling area callers. Beware of weird caller ID's. And hang up on unwanted automated telemarketing calls and unsuspecting calls. Don't allow criminals to waste your time. Ignore their calls.
Take the time to warn others, report the calls and beware.

Got a phone call from this number today at 11:21 am while I was in the shower. Got out of the shower only to see that the caller id said Clayton NY. Didn't answer since there was no name and they didn't leave a message. Thanks a lot, jack a$$es for getting me out of the shower, I really appreciate it! I hope somebody returns the favor some day to whoever it was that called!

People, the Administration cannot control and/or catch and/or prosecute calls that are from other countries. These scam calls are coming from the likes of the Caribbean, Afghanistan, Nigeria...you name it. Nigeria is the worst. They spoof the phone number so it looks it's a real call from someone in the U.S. Not so!

I get these calls all the time. Ignoring them does not make them go away. Opting out does not work. I resist telling them off because these type of people could easily have a list of 'special' numbers of people who tick them off. Why take that chance that they call at all hours out of spite Only option is either not answer, or play along and string them along as long as you can - figure time on the phone with me is wasting $ for them.. I had this guy going today for a quite while until he asked my personal info - then I said politely that I would need to know the name of his company so I could Google it before I could give him that info. He instantly hung up.
You'd think they would press a button that takes my number out of the queue at that point. Why would any company interested in profits want to have their system call an uninterested party. But these folks are not very smart.
Anyway, reported to DNC list. Wow... what a great Gov't job, to be a staffer on the DNC list. Just keep a website running and ignore the entries. Pension, Benefits. Gov't efficiency at its best.

Another call to lower my credit card interest rate. I get these calls almost every day and my number is listed on the National and State do not call lists. Pressed one this time and told the representative to take me off the list and not to call again.
His response was to call me a fu--ing bi--ch, and said he would call back after midnight!
Can you imagine what they do if people who give them their credit card information?
Been going on for years, and no one with authority does anything about them. Makes you wonder doesn't it.
Craig Lorenz 2014-04-16 21:56:25 Unknown
