I love this one. Caller ID came up with name "ZSCAM". That certainly makes me want to answer! Left no msg.

HOME RELIEF SERVICES, LLC is being sued by the people of the State of California for scams involving   homeowners in danger of mortgage foreclosure.

New mortgage help? We do not have a mortgage, so we hardly need any help with it, and in any case would not deal with some telemarketer if we did. The caller ID says "HOME RELIEF" They left no message.

We have had almost no pest calls for the past week, except for the Portfoolio Recovery experts, and the "I've fallen and I can't get up" scammers. Now today, the whole panorama of pest callers seem to have come out from under their rocks.

The solution to not getting these calls is to post them on your phone as UNKNOWN and then just don't answer them!!!!

This is a scammer number

This was from a robocall from a company (who refused to identify themselves, of course) for mortgage restructuring.  I got the same old recording about President Obama signing laws that made it so everybody and their brother could now refinance, and they could help me if I had over $100,000 due on my mortgage or had fallen behind on paying it, etc. etc. etc.  Instead of pushing "3" to be removed from their calling list, I decided to press "1" so I would have the ~pleasure~ of telling their rep that my number is on the DNC list and for them never to call back here again.  Of course, I don't have any faith the rep will listen (nor would pressing 3 have given me different results), so I just blocked the number at my end.  SCAMMERS!!!!

It was Congress, in or about 2006, that changed the rules about the access third parties could have to private land line and cell phones for advertising purposes. Robo-calling intensifies this intrusion because the numbers are generated automatically, so unlisted numbers get hit just as much as listed ones do. Do the callers deliberately target senior citizens? How they find out what numbers to call for seniors is what is really scary.

As to the matter of the government taking money out of the pockets of senior citizens who worked for their SSI, and putting it into pockets of people who are euphemistically called "Section 8", the best form of attack is through the ballot box. Vote the "scalawags" who cater to corporate interests out, and vote in people who know the Constitution and believe in following it.

I continue to get calls from this number on my cell phone. They will not leave a message and when I call it back there is a recording that says, "press any digit to be added to the do not call list", but it then hangs up and continues to call me. I am on the do not call registry.

Called and did not leave a message. We are on the do not call list.

I file about 20 complaints each week with donotcall.gov and the calls have only increased with time. I'm convinced they have one government employee who just sits there and hits the "delete" button from every single complaint.

If you get a call from this telemarketer, please file a complaint with the FCC and FTC: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. If they receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit. If enough of us file and win, that should have an impact. What a great revenge, earning money FROM them! Information on their website says the FCC have shut down several of these scams.
