Just got the call, and I am a legit computer tech, they claimed to be Windows Server Center.  At least that what it sounded like.  The freaking guy could barley speak English.   When I asked him for his Windows Certified Tech number, he didn't know what it was, then I said if you are really a Windows Tech from Windows you will have it.   He then gave me this number.  3159442594 which got me to here.  I told him I was going to validate his tech number.  (which I can't really do, but he didn't know that)  He then got nervous and hung up on me.   What pisses me of the most is people like my Grandmother or even my mother might fall for one of these dooshbag scummsuckers.    Now I have to go and waste my time warning my non computer tech friends to ignore this call, or even better yet, play along with them, and give them fake id, just to waste there time.  Over and Over again.

Got the call. Same story about the computer problem. Sounded too fishy.  Maybe I should say "Phishy". I insisted on getting a call back number and he gave the (315)944-2594 after I insisted and said I would not take his calls. All my computers are fine. Who can I report this attempted crime to?

A tech has called my cell phone every day for the past 3 days, and called me by name - that's scary.  I talked to them yesterday, and told them they were full of sh1t since my PC has been dead since September.  They called again today and this time I played the poor pathetic me I don't want something horrible to happen to my PC, give me your company name and call back number in case we get disconnected. He gave me ABC-Tech Support (specifically said hyphen) and the phone number 1-315-944-2594.  I told him I needed to know what state he was calling from so I could call back from my office line and needed a code to dial long distance and the code was based on the state I was calling; his response was Indiana.  Well, guess what? Area code is not in Indiana; it's in NY.  Who wudda thunk?  Phishers.  He said he would call back tomorrow.  I am trying to think of a "phish" to give back that is stinky.  >:}

The actual caller id is 442-032-864554.

This India fraud ring just called me. I acted hysterical and begged for a number. Even pretended to call out to my wife, not home, in a panic. He gave me the number 315-944-2594. I ended the call with thank you for calling the FBI.

I'm not an IT professional but my limited understanding is logmein can be used by anyone to remotely log into into their PC at another location. For example, logmein enables a person to log into their work PC from home. It's just that in this case, scammers are using social engineering and logmein to remote into victims' PCs but logmein itself isn't part of the scam. Logmein, just like legit companies like Western Union and the internet itself, is a service being abused by scammers for their scam. Anything can be used for good or evil but the anything itself is frequently neutral.

And before complaining about sending jobs overseas, maybe if more Americans would learn to spell correctly they could actually fill more jobs here - like knowing the difference between "there" and "they're", how to spell "savvy", and how to put coherent sentences together with periods in the right place.

THey called and they all sound indian (with dots on there heads) THis is why we should not send our jobs overseas we get du****its like this tyring to pull scams on people who are not tech savy nor understand that if your computer is still working and they tell you they recieved a report problem on your computer. They are full of s*** !st you never callled to report anything wrong 2nd why are they calling you and not the company you choose to fix computer.
