Got the same call but from 813-793-7068. I never answer any numbers I don't recognize. They left the same voicemail message for Martin Zambo. I have been getting these calls on this cell phone for years; I never answer, but do listen to the voicemails - sometimes. It's a scam; same routine about Martin getting arrested, etc. I have told them in the past there is no Martin here, stop calling, etc., nothing works. Why doesn't the phone company cut them off and bust them?

Except they ask for Martin Zambo - say a warrant will be issued for his arrest today and nothing further they can do if he does not call back immediately, then they wish him luck  (this on the voicemail they left) It was a girl's voice asking to call back that number.

I have been getting unknown calls for some Martin guy for years...they always say a warrant will be issued if he doesn't call them back. I never answer numbers I do not know, but it still is a pain in the A.

The phone companies are at fault for not stopping this type of fraud.

Got one of these calls today, I just called the FBI Indiana office, they are aware of this guy and are building a case. He's screwed, I cant wait til they throw him in BF prison for this... lol He said the state had a warrant for my arrest, lol, yeah right I work for the DoD at a lab. If I had a warrant I'd know before the state with these guys.

Called me and my mom. She said her name was Susan Birch. They told my mom that I was being charged with a complaint out of the state of Virginia. When they called me (only minutes later) the complaint had magically changed to coming out of the state of Californina. LOL. I truly wish that these low-life scammers could be put in jail, instead of them threatening to put everyone else in jail. I will be reporting them to my state attorney general's office as well as the FCC.

the jerks callled me andd said I would go to jail for a check with b of a that I wrote never had an accout with them on IN. in 2008 but  my daughter did and our names arre almost the same. he was a real a** and wouldn't listen to a word I had to say

Called as Mr Bernstein. Very very rude man. Stated he was looking for my husbands brother Daniel. Told him my husband doesn't have a brother (which he honestly doesn't) and he called me a liar plus other choice names. He told me he will be sending an officer to my home. I told him go ahead. Luckily he called the wife of a police officer :) I called back asking for customer service. He stated he is not a debt collector but rather a process server processing warrants for arrest for unpaid debt. He said if I wanted customer service, call ATT. I insisted he never call again and he told me there is no way I could stop him. I once again said, send an officer to my home...I dare you. Stated Texas is a not have debtors prison. Husband called back from precinct and this man quickly changed his tune.

im like really!?he says if i dont send this amount (forget) how much he said then my son will go to jail.i replyed so let him go i dont care.he's like you dont care if your son goes to jail.and i reply well i might if i had a son but i dont so its not an issue is it.he hung up lmao

Ed Bernstein called my work saying I needed to go to the police station to be interviewed about something.  He said I would be arrested if I did not go.  I went to the police station and they had no idea who called for me and said they did not need to interview me.  The next day he called again and said a warrant for my arrest was issued.  The Postal Inspectors checked into whether or not there was a warrant for me and there was not.   The Postal Inspector called and the message machine said KC Colen (sp?) but the man on the phone said he was Ed Bernstein.  He pretended to be law enforcment and record the phone message, but would not say who he worked for.

these people are clowns. an associate of min was contacted being told i was going to jail. I called these clowns they starting talking about a payday loan that i never received. Than the tried to say i was going to jail for writing bad checks , when i questioned what kind of checks they told me they were electronic. Told them there's not even a law for that and pay day loans are illegal. the man than got mad and said he was issuing a warrant for my arrest, asked him in what state in county ill just turn myself in he said in the county your in .. I just laughed at him you have a warrant but cant tell me what county its for right .. told them the get a life and i was going to report them.

MY EX INLAWS RECIEVED A CALL STATING THAT IT WAS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT I CALL A.W. BERNSTIEN. WHEN I CALLED I WAS SENT TO ANOTHER MAN WHO WAS RUDE AND KEPT CUSSING AT ME TELLING ME THAT THE POLICE WOULD BE AT MY JOB IN 15 MINS. I CALLED THE LOCAL POLICE AND SHERRIFFS OFFICE AND THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY INFO ON ME. WHEN I CALLED THEM BACK TRYING TO GET THEIR COMPANY NAME SO I COULD LOOK THEM UP I WAS HUNG UP ON. I CALLED BACK AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY CHILDREN WOULD BE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME AMD I WOULD BE AT ARRAINMENT IN FRONT OF A JUDGE BY THE MORNING. I CALLED THE LOCAL SHERRIFF BACK AND GAVE THEM THE NUMBER SO THAT THEY COULD CALL THEM.

Rec'd a call from A W Burnstein telling me my son in California was going to be arrested in the next 30 minutes if he didn't return the call.  Mr. Burnstein said he was in the processing division for felony fraud, which is what my son committed - but he wouldn't tell me how it was committed nor the name of the business he worked for.  I returned the call to the number and a Casey Colon 's answering machine answered.  He did return my call and said my son cashed a check which bounced and this was the felony fraud committed.  He said my son indeed was going to go to jail.  I hung up on him and he called back and my husband spoke to him.  When my husband said he was recording the call, the line went immediately to music, and so he hung up.  He then called back again, apologizing for the interruption, saying he was responding to a call from my son.  I hung up on him.

This is so bazaar that I put in a call to the Ontario Cty Sheriff who said it was fraud and not to worry about it.
I did not wish to take up their time with filing a claim as the call was from somewhere in Indiana, which makes the whole thing even more bazaar!

AW Bernstein said someone had listed my as an emergency contact, that they were in the hospital and being charged with a crime.  I said I didn't know the person and he implied that I was lying.  This was obviously a scam.

Receiving threatening calls

I received a phonecall yesterday or the day prior from a Mr. Bernstein.  He said that I was put on as a "Mercy Contact" from a Wendell Antonio.  I told him he has wrong number and hung up.

This morning 1.10.13 - at about 9:25am he called again claiming the same thing !   I sternly told him I know not, nor have I ever known or had any relationship with a Wendell Antonio; to take me off their contact list.  He INSISTED why would he put you down as a contact if you don't know him ?!!!   I got VERY ANGRY and told him LOUDLY that I've never, EVER known this person or had any contact with anyone with that name.  TAKE MY OFF YOUR CONTACT LIST !!!  And i hung up on him.

Then I called him from my work phone; he answered again.  I asked him what company this was.  He wouldn't give me a company name.  I asked him what they do there.  He dropped a few words that made NO SENSE, or probably had no meaning whatsover !!!  I told him he just called me on my cell phone claiming what he claimed [ what i wrote ] above.  He said it could be that I'm just a disgruntled ex-wife claiming that I don't know the guy!!!   I said again, I'VE NEVER KNOWN OR HAD ANY CONTACT WITH THIS GUY !!  He said, AGAIN, "Well, why would he put you down as a contact, then?"  I responded, don't you think since this is my cell phone that you contacted me on, that there was another person before me that had this number and maybe THAT PERSON knew this man you are trying to link me to?   He said, "that's a possibility..."   I said take me off your list.  No, I want to speak to your supervisor to tell them.  He said he signs the paychecks there....   I said then go into the bathroom and grab a mirror, look at yourself and tell you to TAKE ME OFF YOUR CONTACT LIST !!!  

He said I need to take a chill-pill and hung up on me :).

similar to the above posts.  Call from the 317-204-2138 number claiming that my sister in a different state has a felony warrarnt out for her arrest.  When i called the caller on his bluff, he said ok, then i will be certain to tell the judge what you said.  I said, sounds good to me.

I just got a phone call an hour ago from a man a Martin Tanner claiming to be from a collection agency. he told me that there was a felony warrant out for my arrest for fraud and if I didn't pay 700 dollars from a debit or credit card within the hour  there would be a warrant out for my arrest and I would go to jail tonight. He then proceeded to tell me that I would have to do an automatic 90 days in jail time before a court hearing would be scheduled. At first he called and threatened my family and then I called the 317 Indiana number. I called him back again and told him I just spoke with my attorney and after I told him it was illegal to threaten an arrest warrant from a collection agency, he told me that I was stupid and that my attorney didn't know what the hell you was talking about. This is a huge scam, after he told me my attorney was stupid, I told him I wasn't going to give him any money until I knew more information. He said what the hell ever and hung up on me. The number he gave for me to call him back was 3173957153 lookout for this number.

My mother recieved a call from this number. they told her they are looking for me because i committed fraud and its from financial instituition. As i called back with my number blocked. A rude man name Martin Tanner picks up. When i started to ask questions about the company and in what this is in regards of. Rude Martin tells me to Shut the h*ll up and listen to him. As i started to listen to what he had to say. he stated that i will have a warrant for my arrest if i didnt pay 800 by debit or credit card within 60 seconds. i told him i wasnt goin to give him any info of minds until i know more about the call. and rude martin wouldnt give me the time of day. and stated he looked me up on GOOGLE. and that he found out i was a criminial and that for the hoildays i will be spending it behind bars. by him stating he looked me up by GOOGLE. was an alert for me. BUT my most favorite words that came out of this RUDE ANIMAL was that I am TRASH, DIRT BAG, AND a H*E. then i started to investgiate the number that was harassing me. and this the page that pops up. So i decided to communicate with my uncle who is a cop. gave him the number so he can call. And when my uncle started to talk to the RUDE ANIMAL he started to get very nervous. hung up the phone and refused to answer the phone. This RUDE ANIMAL has no life. and i hope he rots in prison for making people lives miserable. And even if you call blocked they trace your call and call you back to harass you. so PLEASE BECAREFUL. BIG SCAMMERS. this is not the only number they call you from. they have many different numbers. but one stupid mistake. all the numbers have a 317 area code.

Got a call several time on my government cell phone (which has VERY limited minutes) which i ignored. they then called my mother's home and when she didn't answer, they called, her on her home business line. when i called the number back he immediatley transferred me to a donna. when i asked what it was about they talked about a loan (which i never got). when i looked up the name they gave (AA Enerprise) they did not have any collection agencies with that name. the reverse phone look was also unsuccessful. when i look on our local sheriff's station websit, the was no warrant for myself or my ex-fiance (whose last name they used)

Got a call from this number, which I ignored  several times while I was work. They called back repeatedly (6 times in 2 minutes) so I answered and they asked for the person who previously had my number. I told them that I was at work and that there was no one by that name at this number anymore. They said the call was related to something being wrong with a roommate. They also said, "I could have told you that and wouldn't have called 15 times if you would have answered the phone, idiot" then they hung up on me.

My grandparents and parents received a call from "Martin Tanner" today. They all called me frantically saying that I was going to be arrested for fraud, etc. My grandparents both have serious health problems and do not need harassing false phone calls. I told both of them to calm down and wrote the number down that he called from. I called the number and got a vm saying something about "Edward Jones". Knowing that I had never done business with Edward Jones, I hung up. About 5 minutes later, I received a call back from that number from Mr. Tanner. He would not tell me what company he was with. He said, "What are you? Writing a book???" I said that I was, in fact, writing a book so that I could report him to the State Attorney General's Office. He hung up and didn't call back after that.

I have received calls from this number all day today!! these people are horrible! and are total scammers. the same person had called me - Martin Tanner and had harrassed my husband, my brother and co-workers at my job. They called to alert me that my mother is sick or in an emergency situation and needs money. My mother is alive and well. then he claims that there is a warrant for my arrest and that I owe money. I did not comply - and I told them they were terrible for doing this, he was rude and hung up.  Be vigilant, for they have info on your contact numbers and email addresses. If this is happeneing to you, do not call back and report them immediately to the FCC. Do not give them money, and if they keep harrassing you, tell them you will call the police. - thats what i did!

I recieved a call from this number today. First they called my home and made my husband believe something was wrong with my father to get me to call them back but my husband called their bluff. Then they called my work and told me they were sending someone to my work to arrest me if I didn't give them money right this minute, becuase I had purposely commited fruad on a financial instituition. They were incredibly rude and hung up on me when I wouldn't agree to give money.

Calling around to my family about having committed fraud with my work computer.  Has to be a payday loan collection  scam.  Martin Tanner is the name given.  When you call back the message says this is Edward Jones leave a message.
