I also got a text 12/5 AT 12:47 stating that "As part of our security measures i decided to flag your debit card. Call now at 1-319-248-7627 and unflag your card." I sent a reply text asking the financial institution they represented. Received a response that the text could not be delivered.

Received the message at 3:29 pm ET on 5 December about unflagging a debit card.
The number tracks to Coralville, Iowa, a suburb of Iowa City.
I went to school at Iowa City several years ago. It was a nice place then, but I've heard it has been turned into a prostitution haven for truckers on Interstate 80.

i received a text stating that my debit card had been flagged . i called the number back and recording told me to enter the last 4 of my social security number. i hung up immediately. dirty scammers.

I just got the same text. Interesting that there is no mention of a bank nor the identity of the "i" who flagged your account. Pretty bad when you can't spell "i" correctly!
