I am receiving texts from same Phoenix number asking for the same amount. He/She sent me bogus check on Wells Fargo bank.  Now they want a3 money drafts from Walmart for $755 each. This is to wrap my car with LG logo.  OMG do they think we fell out of a tree?  Why doesn't PPD arrest these guys.

Omg wow. If it wasn't for my bank I would of been scammed! I'm glad this is posted. Everything you ladies wrot me is what I received as well.

The latest email I got from cindybalmforthmom@gmail.com was:

Hello Melissa
I received your message. Thank you for your concern. We can meet at
the McDonald at 6.00PM.I hope this is a convenient time for you. I
will appreciate you working for us as one family not just a caregiver.
That increases the love and build a great partnership between us. I
was able to finalized with the wheelchair seller. The wheel chair cost
$2400. so i will be mailing your first week payment ($15/hr x 5hrs/day
= $75 x 5days a week= $375) of $375 plus an additional deposit of
$2400 to make a total of $2,775 on the check as soon as i hear back
from you.The deposit goes to the wheelchair seller on delivery. I will
send your address to the seller for the chair delivery so you can pay
on delivery as soon as the check clears.

Kindly let me know if this is clear so i can proceed to mailing the
check immediately

I received a text and I did email her. THIS IS A SCAM! She wants to give you a weeks pay and also for her to have her sons wheelchair delivered to my house. She also claims to be deaf. This is so disturbing that scamer are using sympathy to get money. I have an older sister who is deaf and this just royally ticks me off. What is the world coming to these days.

My name is michelle I too received this message about needing a babysitter for her son said she was from.pheniox but moving to my area her offer was 15/hr she said she got my name from.care.com I thought it sounded a bit odd but emailed back n fourth thank goodness I decided to look up this email address but gave her my address she said she needed it to mail first week pay I hope nothing bad will happen thru rhizome have no bank account or anything I just can't believe how people have no heart!! To do what this person is doing!

She wrote a very long email explaining her son and her expectations. I sent her my information, but because I have been scammed before I knew not to provide her with any of my bank info. I also thought it was weird because she said she would pay me for the food he ate...and I never babysit from my own home. I did provide them with my address though...but I guess its a good thing that I'm living with friend and were moving out within the next month.

I got the same from this number asking for a babysiter and they took every cent out of my bank account and then sum.

ME TOO!  I'm glad I googled this number....I thought it was weird too because they never notified me through Care.com. And when I get a text message alert its usually a 5 digit number from the actual site. Not a full phone number from an actual person!

I just received the exact same message.  I replied back to it as well through text.  I am hoping it won't affect me either.  I will be reporting this to Care.com services and will checking my phone company.

I also recieved a text message from this number 1-319-983-3474. They said "i am looking for a babysitter for my son starting from next month. We need someone who is responsible, reliable, and flexible! Email your résumé to me my email is cindybalmforthmom@gmail.com from care.com thanks" I replied and told her/him my availability and he/she replied " good kindly email me your résumé". So I did. Didn't think anything of it but then I remembered my résumé is already on the care.com site so why would they ask for it. I replied and asked who the person was and got no response. I'm not sure what all needs to be done, or how I'm going to be affected. I will be calling police and my phone carrier and notifying them of what's happened.

THis is really weird to me since I live in CA and this number says its from Iowa and I never applied to any babysitting jobs.i didnt write them back because i heard of scams where they can charge up your phone bill somehow when you answer or respond.
