Interesting.  I just got a call from this number and called it back.  A man answered and when I asked who it was as "you just called me," they hung up.

Would not stop talking when I politely asked to interrupt. Would only speak with canned responses. Refused to acknowledge my request to not call back. When I asked him to acknowledge my request for the final time, he said "I appreciate your request to call back at a later time" and hung up the phone.

Fake charity, identity theft attempt

I too received a call a few minutes ago and caller ID just said out-of the-area. I blocked this # immediately but they'll call again... and rings once. Then I know it's a blocked call without going to pick up the phone.

I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. I have a message on my answering machine to that effect. It's that simple. Every so often I go through the list and do research on them. Any that may be calling repeatedly may get a nasty surprise.    

IT'S THAT SIMPLE. have a message on your answer machine that states you are not answering calls you don't recognize and in order to talk to us, leave a message and a number if we don't pick up.

Kept calling and not leaving a message. I blocked them and now I still get blank calls as "out of area" at the same times of day as the blocked number. Unfortunately can't block that, gets through private call blocking. (At least with the "Rachel from card service" calls I knew for sure what the calls were.) I just don't answer, ever, as that always seems to make it worse.

2nd time called ... off to the DNC list to complain!

It is a phony charity.  I blocked the number and it still comes through.  Best advice: if you don't know who is calling, don't answer.  We have been programmed to answer calls, but we have to break that response.  If people don't answer they will have to get real jobs.

I called them to complain about all the calls.  It is a phony charity claiming to be collecting for veterans.  I asked to be removed from the call list stating that I had received a number of calls.  The boob said: "I'll take care of this right away."  I replied; "OK, what's my number."  His response was: "I don't have that information." To which I said: "how the hell are you planning on removing my number then?"  I told the boob to get a friggin pencil and write down my number and knock off the damn calls.

This number 1-320-227-8368 keeps calling. Caller ID says it's from St. Cloud, Minn. but no one ever answers or leaves message,

I was asleep when the phone rang last night. My TV was off so I couldn't see the called ID. I called the number this AM, the message was that no one was there to answer,and if I wanted to be on their "do not call" list, to leave my number. But, I go one better,my cable company offers a blocking for these numbers..I just block them.

I have received numerous calls from this number-never, ever a message-just incessant hangups. I would love to be able to call ALL these telemarketer b*****ds in the middle of the night and wake their a***s up and bother and harass them, as they harass me!!! Do Not Call registry is not working. I have tried to register 16 different times now, over a period of several months, to ZERO AVAIL!!! They have defaulted on their promise.

i do not recognize this phone number on my called id and i will not pick it up.  however, they have called on a daily basis and i am on the no call reqistry list.

Ginny, get real. They will just laugh at you. They cannot do anything about this call. Its a spoofed number and you and your lawyer will never find out who they are and if you did and they are out of the country, then no laws can do anything to them.
