I'm getting tired of seeing this number on my caller ID.  They've called as early as 8am and as late as 9:30-10pm, but they never leave a message.  I never answer numbers I don't recognize and this one is never identified on my caller ID.

Ok, so i get a call from this number ALL the time and the person who calls always leaves a message to "call back KIM" at an 866 number. But they never mention kim from where or for what, i dont even know a KIM.

I was called at 8:40 am by a male recording with a slight British accent asking me to hold for some personal business information. I called the number back and was asked to press 1 for English and to hold again (same voice).

An individual called and left the name ethan. I'm supposed to call back. If it is a collector, how do they get my work number.

Thank you for this info! I did have a card at one time that I canceled and since that time, they're trying to collect 3x the amount that was originally owed. We were making more than the monthly payment yet they exceeded this in percentage rates they decided to increase over and over. I wrote a letter at the onset to the attorney, since then, this company Washington Mutual, has enlisted other companies to contact me and neighbors, family members too.

I suspect that you are not the expert you claim to be.

JCC usually is short for Jewish Community Center.  I wonder how they feel about someone claiming to be the JCC?  And for what purpose?

Where's the government when it comes to this kind of stuff?? You already have tools available to you.

Write them a letter as you have the right to, demand they stop calling you...  if they continue to call you, enforce the rights that the GOVERNMNET gave you and sue THEM for violations of the FDCPA.

However, what MANY people forget is this:

1) If you really owe a debt, you have to address it. Debts won't go away if you ignore them and debt collectors ARE in fact suing people now a days.

2) Even if they do stop calling you, the debt is owed. (If you owe one) They are just doing their job. Yes, there are nasty collectors out there, but so long as they don't violate the exact FDCPA law, they're within their rights.

3) People assume that the governmnet is going to stop collection agencies.. they're not. The government isn't going to let you out of your debt short of Bankruptcy.. so if you're really in debt that you can't pay off, consider bankruptcy, but be prepared to give up more than just the debt. If you own any property of value, be ready to possibly have some of that taken from you and liquidated - often for pennies on the dollar. So, for example, that $900 LCD HD TV you have.. they may sell it for just $200 ... you not only lose your TV, you lose another $700 in value and you STILL may wind up having to pay off some of your debt under chapter 13 these days.

IF YOU DO owe a debt, you have to talk to these people... if you don't, the government has already given you tools to shut them up and make them go away. Even if you do owe a debt, you do have rights, but none of those rights are not to pay or address the debt.

The government isn't going to change anything else becuase there is nothing more they need to do.

I'm sorry, I've been in debt before.. I've sued collectors before and won. However, it still doesn't change the fact that if a debt is owed, it has to be paid, OR ADDRESSED, no matter your personal situation. I don't see how some people won't sell posessions to pay for their health care or other debt incurred.. no one wants to feel their own pain when they, themselves, ran up the debt. People don't plan properly for emergencies, and health issues ARE emergencies.

Remember, too, debt collectors only have 6 months to settle the debt or they have to sell it to another collector.. they're going to only get more agressive as time goes on.. and while many people THINK they are crossing the line by calling multiple times a day and hanging up, the government gives them that right. They MAY, however, only TALK to you once per day between 8am and 9pm (unless you work nights, but you must inform them of your 8 hour sleep period in which they may not call you)

Many people too often belive that being called is "being harassed"... they have a legal right to do so SPECIFICALLY granted to them by the government.

If you don't want the calls OR to be contacted, you must write them properly to stop them. Just beware, if the debt is new, and owed, and you don't follow proceedure, once you cut them off, they're likely to just send you off to court - and you don't want that as they can often take their money form your paychecks, OR, force you into bankruptcy, something you only get to do once every 7 years. Do you want to be forced into BR knowing you may need it in the near future as more debt piles up? No.. so you HAVE to address these people..

Being in debt sucks and is very stressful.. but no one said life was easy, and the government isn't going to help you get out of your debt, with out bankruptcy. Maybe it's time to stop buying stuff now, spending less, and SAVING for once.. less people would receive these calls.. but most people won't. They want their iPhones, Plasma TV's, Big SUVs, more of a house than they can afford, want to eat out all the time, go to movies, own the latest BluRay players, etc.

This # continues to call but no messages are left.  I called the number back and got nothing.  WTF - Where's the government when it comes to this kind of stuff.  They seem to have their noses in everything else...

a Tori Becker contacted my place of employment.  I was not there at the time but I called back and stated they were not to contact that number again.  I don't know what they wanted other than a private matter.  I told them they could send whatever it was in writing.

One day after I got a new cell phone with a new number I started to receive daily calls from this number. They never left a message and never let it ring more than once. Seems an automatic dialer that just wants to leave a number for call back. I will certainly not call back.

No message left when they called me. I called to ask what company this is, and was informed "a few different companies are out of this office". I asked to name a couple and she told me "JCC". I asked what that is, and she hesitated and then just said "they handle private matters".
Even if they are a collection agency, that is completely shady and absolutely ridiculous. If there is something I'm supposed to pay for them, I certainly don't know about it and I've never received a bill or letter of any kind.

A call came in asking for me on my dad's cell phone.  The caller named Mindy claimed to be from a collection agency collecing for some medical bills.  I had never heard of the company Henepin Physicians Associates before in my life.  I tried to get more information from the person but they would not give any.  Ultimatly they started calling me Arthur... My name is not Arthur.  I tried to interupt and ask her what my name was.  She kept talking and I started yelling.  She hung up on me.

they keep calling every morning and they never get an answer... yet they still call.. yup its a collection agency and i told them i would call them and yet they call every day...

When I called the number back it says something about a lawsuit.
I called back and told them I am not the person they are looking for. They claim to take my name off their list and they continue to call.

Got a call for a Greg Roblinkski or something. I have told them before that they have the wrong number. I do not have know the guy.

Do you have documentation/data on this; if so I'd like a copy or info on where to find it- these jerks are pestering me as well.

Caller (Torri Becker) asked for Mrs. Farah.  Said it was urgent to call back. The number left for call back was 866-356-1420.  We get calls like this all the time.  Google every number or call that sounds suspicious.  Most likely they are scammers or fraudulent.

This firm has actually been in trouble with the State for their agressive tactics.  Fight back!  Notify the Better Business Bureau or Attorney General

I received a call from this number, leaving a message to call a Jay Henning. When I called I was told to hold and then the call was terminated.
